New Pokemon Rumour & Mew Code

Morning folks,

So tomorrow is the 20^th anniversary for Pokemon and I feel very old when I say that. Cannot believe it was that long ago, I remember watching the show before it became popular and the games hit the store. I remember importing most of the Pokemon games so I could get them months in advance. Trying to find Mew under the lorry in Pokemon Red, the Pikablu rumour and so much more.

To celebrate the anniversary there is a lot happening tomorrow, twitch streams and new products throughout. Several stores across multiple countries are giving out codes for Mew in Pokemon X/Y/OR/AS. The biggest thing is that Pokemon Red/Blue and Yellow will be on the 3DS virtual console tomorrow to download. Really cannot wait to replay them but I’m still stuck on which one to get though. Thinking Red at the moment since that was the very first Pokemon game I ever bought. 

Anyway the main for this post is the lastest announcement and rumour that happened last night.

So Nintendo have confirmed that today at 3pm GMT there will be a Nintendo Direct for five minutes concerning Pokemon. I’ve been thinking for a while it would be the announcement of the next generation of games since the latest movie has a new Pokemon not part of this generations list. 

Well yesterday a lot of domain names got registered by Nintendo for Pokemon Sun & Moon. Plus, we have logos trade marked as well, fingers crossed we going to see a new game announcement this afternoon. If this is a hoax then its a really good one because those logos look amazing.

 

I will be doing another blog post later this afternoon with the outcome of the Nintendo Direct. But for now here is a Mew Picross code for Europe thanks to the Nintendo Europe twitter account. Also here is the link for the Direct later on.

Evolve & Destiny

Morning folks,
Well I was planning to play a little of Hearthstone and World of Warcraft this morning but maintenance on the servers has cancelled that idea. So I thought instead to get a post I was going to do later sorted now. You see I wanted to talk about two upcoming games that have my interest and of course show you guys the new trailers in case you missed them.

What are the games you ask? well Destiny and Evolve of course!

So let's start with Destiny which everyone should know about now, if not its a first person shooter MMO without the fees that is coming out to consoles in early September. Bungie have made some huge statements about this game for the last year and it promises to be one hell of a game if they stick to what they say.

And that is where I have my doubts you see, so far from what I've seen it's just a generic shooter and nothing amazingly special at all. Don't get me wrong I like my shooters and I will probably pick it up but I just don't see any "OMG!" moments when I watch the trailers so far. Check out the newest trailer showing off the "Devils' Lair".



Looks good but I just don't see anything special that makes it greater than anything else. Graphics look good and the gameplay reminds me sort of Borderlands in some ways but other then that what's the big thing? where is the wow factor.

Hopefully we will see some amazing stuff very soon, no doubt at E3 in June and closer to the release. Think it will help if they showed off trailers where you can see more people playing because it looks quite empty right now, graphics are stunning but you got to get that wow factor to make people stick with it. But anyway this game is still on my list to buy and keep an eye on of course. In fact it was just announced that GAME in the UK is giving away a faster speeder in game when you pre-order and buy the game from them. You can see the upgraded sparrow in action below which is a nice little bonus, wonder how long until we will see some collectors editions.



So onto the second game and one that has really got me excited to play it and that is Evolve. It was announced quite a while back and if you don't remember then it's coming from the girls and boys that made Left 4 Dead (amazing game). This game is basically a online multiplayer game where it takes 4 vs 1, you have a hunter team chasing then a weird alien monster.

It had my attention straight away when they said they made Left 4 Dead, the concept sounded very interested. You have this monster that starts off slightly weak but can evolve into different phases making it stronger. Then you have a team of four players with different classes trying to hunt it down quickly before it gets too powerful. Sounds good and I put the game onto my list to be watched, now we have a trailer showing off gameplay in action. Check it out below but just watching it has one hundred percent sold this game to me.



You can tell the players are doing things a little slow and scripted so people can see what is happening but you got to be excited for the game. I love the hunter traps that keep the beast down but even then you got to realise how powerful this creature is when it turns on them. Also I was amazed with the environment map working against everyone, that moment when the creature comes out the water and eats one of the team. I kid you not I was cheering and jumping out of my seat, plants as well trying to eat one of them. Amazing, simply amazing! this game is a must in my books and I'm very excited to get my hands on it. Some awesome different skins and a new monster for downloading later are being offered for pre-orders if you look around.

Well that's it for me folks and hope I've sold Evolve to you guys, it worth a pre-order in my books. Hopefully Destiny can wow me soon but it's not off my buy list just yet.

Watch_Dogs Season Pass

Plenty of details was announced earlier today for the season pass for the upcoming game Watch_Dogs. Check out the awesome trailer below to get a glimpse of what your money can buy you.



When I first heard about the season pass several weeks ago with the information that you would get a extra campaign to play with a different character, I was a bit wary about it. It's a brand new IP and already putting a new character to play has? I was a little unsure but held my tongue. Why complain when the game has not come out and who knows what cool character we would be playing.

Glad I did because T-Bone looks awesome and I can see the new story campaign turning out pretty sweet. The zombie cyborgs was a nice touch but at the same time...zombies again? come on! hopefully though it will be pretty sweet but I do feel like the zombie theme needs to be shelved for a while. Either way I will be forking out the money for this season pass, 25% savings and the content looks worth it.

Anyone else excited to play this game? less than a month to go now! on that note I'm off to go play some more games.

Pokemon Event and X/Y Preorder Bonus

There as been quite a bit of information released for Pokemon over the last few days so I thought it be wise to do a post around it in case someone misses it. First off there is a giant Pokemon event happening soon where you can download three shiny legendary Pokemon for Black 2 and White 2.

For those in the UK it's a GAME event and all stores will be taking part (that I can see), it starts 30th August with Shiny Dialga and will end on 12th September. Then the day after 13th September you will be able to download Shiny Palkia up until 26th September. Finally on the 27th September Shiny Giratina will be up for download until th 12th October.

As you can see this all tied into the release of Pokemon X and Y, they have also announced in the UK that GAME will have a exclusive pre-order bonus. A Pokeball 3DS cartridge holder which can be seen below.

Very cool and I better start working on finishing Black 2 ready for X and Y, think I've got 6 of my 8 badges so far so not long now. One last thing was mentioned last night on the GAME twitter account that over the next few weeks there will be some Pokemon news worth checking back for. Really hoping it will be the announcement of the themed 3DS XL's that Japan is getting. Now before I go I have posted the dates for the North America download below which is being run by GAMESTOP, check with your local store to make sure they taking part.

One More Special Edition Mii

That's right folks another special edition Mii is up for downloading on your 3DS, this time it's Hayashida and again just pop on over to the Mii Plaza. This should be the last one since E3 is ending today but you never know.

If you not downloaded any before today then it is worth it, make sure you connected to the wi-fi and pop over to Mii Plaza on your 3DS. The special edition Mii will unlock an achievement if you not met one before, in Puzzle swap they will have all the pieces so it's a great way to get those missing rare ones. Finally they also automatically level 5 in StreetPass quest so you have a nice warrior to progress with.

Anyway I'm off again to go play some games and watch the Simpson's, don't worry I've not forgotten the E3 posts just having a bit of writers block with them.

Another Special Mii

Very quick note folks but you can get another special edition Mii character on the 3DS through spotpass. Just like yesterday this could be a one day only deal so just connect to the Internet with your 3DS and pop on over to the Mii Plaza to get a visit from Konno.

Great thing about the special edition Mii's is they have all the puzzle pieces unlocked for Puzzle swap, great way to get your missing rare ones. Plus they also automatically level 5 for StreetPass Quest so a nice advantage there.

So don't miss out and got to say cheers to Dragaknight my mate for making me aware both times of this.

E3 Downloads and Freebies

Right folks not sure how long these will be up for so make sure to download them today while you have the chance. First up on the 3DS you can get a special Mii character through spot pass, make sure you connected to your wi-fi and load up StreetPass Mii Plaza. Might have to leave your 3DS on for a while to pick up the spotpass first though. Anyway you get Iwata dressed up in a Luigi outfit for your trouble and of course if you not had a special Mii you will unlock the achievement as well, added bonus is that he has all the puzzle pieces so if you missing a super rare one here is your chance.

Now for a freebie, you can get Fable 3 on Xbox Live for free right now! not sure if this is a mistake or not but just search it on xbox live. There are cases that you have to click "add points" option to get it to appear up as a free purchase download. Great game just a shame the ending was not up to par with the rest of the game but still worth a download, cannot complain about it being free.

Batman Arkham Origins Trailer

Well it was finally put up yesterday, the first official full trailer for the new Batman Arkham game and I got to say it looks awesome. Yes I know it's just a CGI trailer but it as potential so check out below if you not see it yet, if you have then skip below to the rest of the post.



So interesting things, well if you Pre-order you get to play as Deathstroke but I think that is just like the past Robin for Batman Arkham City. Just a challenge map player and not actually in the game like Catwoman, it would be a stupid thing to put a full ingame character to play has for a pre-order bonus.

Anyway the story looks good and you get a glimpse of Deadshot again and of course Black mask is taking a bigger role this time. I be interested to see if some of those moved will be in the game that you see during the fight, especially at the start with Batman coming out from the under floor to do a take down. Guess time will tell and mostly likely find out at E3 which I'm hoping for a gameplay trailer this year. Pre-orders have started and most companies are offering the Deathstroke bonus so start ordering so you don't miss out.

More Gears of War Judgment DLC Incoming

EPIC have announced on their community forums that a new multiplayer DLC pack will be released in June. The Pack will be titled "Lost Relics" and with it comes a new mode, several maps and skins. In the way of maps Checkout is returning which was one of my favourite maps in Gears of War 3, not much has been said about the three new maps but they did say they will release details very soon. What we do know is they are called the following "Lost City", "Museum" and "Ward" plus the fact the last one is for OverRun mode only.

Hopefully there be some interesting maps to play because the selection right now is not very huge but I am happy they returning some of my favourites. Oh yeah they did give some information on the new mode to play, it's title Breakthrough and basically it reminds me of Rush from Battlefield. Two teams with one defending and one attacking. The attacks must carry a flag to a set objective and have a limited spawn number for their team to work with, while the defenders have unlimited resources to stop them with.

Could be fun in theory but we will see, not a big fan of the new mode that took over for Horde (OverRun) since of the unbalanced issues with it. Besides there was nothing wrong with Horde and was one of the main reasons I loved Gears of War so much, such a shame they didn't keep it.

Anyway hopefully over the next few weeks more details and probably trailers will be released to show off this new DLC pack.

Free Gears of War Judgement Map

From today for the next two weeks you can download the new map Dreadnaught for free, another MAXIM sponsored map like Haven from the launch day. This map is for the OverRun mode and after the two weeks will cost 160 Microsoft Points so if you miss out don't worry too much. Below is the official trailer for it and the background story if into learning a bit of history.

Pre-Order Bonuses

Morning folks,
Thought I would start with a post that I've been meaning to do for a while and I was unsure how to write, see a few games have been given a few pre-order bonus items when you place your order. Originally I was going to do them as separate posts but then they would be really sort, so thought why not do just one big post listing everything. So let's start with Call of Duty: Ghosts and if you remember from my earlier post if you put a order with GAME you would get a gun skin for Black Ops 2 (See my post here). Well they now also giving away a giant poster with the skin as well, similar to the past games this is a double sided A1 poster.

So I'm doing pretty well with my posters this month since I've had a Diablo 3 one with my pre-order and now a Call of Duty one. Anyway that's the COD pre-order out of the way so let's go to it's rival Battlefield with it's latest game Battlefield 4. This offer is not being advertised too well since I only stumbled across it by accident and again it's a GAME exclusive offer in the UK. If you pre-order the Premium edition you get a set of Battlefield dog tags plus some bonus in-game content. Now the reason why this is not being fully advertised everywhere is because one there is no information on wht the in-game bonus content is and two no information on what you get in the premium edition as well. Of course I'm going to guess the Premium Edition will be like the Tier One for Medal of Honor or the Physical Warfare Pack for Battlefield 3 so we talking early access to multiplayer weapons, bonus weapons and maybe a DLC pack. Anyway this pre-order bonus so far is only on the website so don't miss out if you into your knick knacks.

Finally coming to the end of the post and I'm ending it with Company of Heroes 2 for the PC, I've been a bit worried about this game since it was made by THQ and with the studio falling apart it left many questions if this game would be released. Well SEGA bought the rights and finally they have updated with a release date of 25th June which is great but the GAME exclusive Limited Edition as been cancelled. In it's place they are now offering a pre-order bonus of a single player mission set with some bonus items for the Multiplayer.

Which to be honest looks like all the stuff from the Limited Edition anyway so it's all good again. So that's it folks for this post and yes I know it was all about GAME today but they seem to be doing well with their pre-order bonuses. For those outside the UK then I would recommend checking out your local retailers to see what they offering.

Deoxys Pokemon Event Update

Morning folks,
If you remember a week or two ago I did a post about a upcoming download event for Pokemon where you get Deoxys. Well it went live yesterday and I nearly forgot, anyway serebii reminded me and put up some more details about it.

First up it's for the English games of Pokemon White 2 and Black 2 only, the event will end on the 31st May. Just connect your console up to the wi-fi and download it through the mystery gift system like normal.

The Deoxys is level 100 and holds the life orb plus it comes with the following four moves:
Nasty Plot
Dark Pulse
Recover
Psycho Boost

Sounds like an awesome addition to any ones team so yeah make sure not to miss out and keep an eye on serebii for any more future events. I will post about any that do appear but Serebii is the best place for all things Pokemon.

Deoxys Pokemon Event

Starting 8th May and ending on the 31st May you will able to download Deoxys for the first time on Pokemon White and Black or White 2 and Black 2.

This is for the English versions of the games so North American and most of Europe, not much details have been announced yet on the Pokemon except it will be level 100. To get it just simply hook up your console to your wi-fi and download it by the start up menu like in the past.

Keep your eyes on serebii.net for more information like move stats etc once they announced, I will update once I find out as well but usually serebii.net is the best placed for Pokemon news.

Minecraft Update 9

4JStudios have released a trailer for the upcoming update 9 which finally brings the Ender Dragon and "The End" to the game



You can find a patch note list just here on the Minecraft Wiki but of course this could change sine the patch as not been released yet. Most of the changes are bug fixes or improving new features, interesting to see the End since I never had chance on the PC to try it yet. Also it looks like they will be doing some changes for the console version, thing that stood out to me the most was an exit portal so I'm guessing you can still go back into your game once you done with the Dragon.

Anyway I really could do with jumping back onto Minecraft, got plenty of projects that I wanted to work on and I've not really been on since Update 8 which had creative mode. Plus seeing the Assassin's Creed and Claptrap skins just makes me want to go play right now, shame my TV has been taken over by the girlfriend.

Gears of War Weapon Skin

Evening folks,
Hopefully got a few posts for you tonight but will see how things go since so far everything I've planned this weekend keeps getting cancelled. This is a quick post about a free weapon skin for Gears of War Judgement, it is limited so don't delay it too long to try and get one.

Xbox is having a competition on their facebook where you given a chance to win a console, a Kinect and of course a copy of the game. You will need to login with your Facebook details but just for entering you do get the Window Web Skin for your lancer in multiplayer.

Meloetta Pokemon Event

Morning folks,
Just a reminder to any Pokemon fans out their in the UK, the Meloetta event will be starting tomorrow across the country. Pop into any GAME store with your DS and a copy of either Pokemon White 2/Black 2/White/Black to download Meloetta to your game.

As far as I am aware it will be the same one that America is currently doing so it should be level 50 with a PP Max. If you take it to Castelia City in your game it will be able to learn Relic Song which will allow it to change into it's Pirouette Form. Also been told in the versions White 2 and Black 2 it will unlock a FunFest Mission to play.

So don't miss out folks since the event will end April 19th 2013 so you have plenty of time to do it, for those in America the event is being run by Gamestop right now and ends on the 24th March 2013. Australia will be getting the event at EBGames starting April 19th with no information yet on end date, check your local store for information.

Will be popping in myself with all my copies of Pokemon tomorrow, still need to finish Pokemon Black 2 so really could do with adding it to my must play list. Oh by the way if you live in America did you see the good news about the Pikachu 3DS XL? yes you will be getting it finally, not information yet on which stores will be stocking it but I would have chat with your local retailers.

Warcraft and Starcraft

Good Morning,
Last night the official trailer for the new World of Warcraft patch went live, say hello to 5.2 The Thunder King.



Shame I'm not in a guild because I would love to have ago at that raid, the bosses shown look amazing and fun. Got to love the part where the army of trolls march along with the giant dinosaurs, anyway the patch is meant to be huge and adding entire new zone with plenty to do. Think it's hitting next week if I can remember right.

Speaking of Blizzard as well a new trailer went up for the upcoming Starcraft game, Heart of the Swarm. Nicknamed Vengeance it's once again showing hints at the continuing story but this video is a little different, included is a developer talk where they talk about the game and answer questions from fans. Then at the end is a showcase match showing off Heart of the Swarm multi-player between Grubby and Crazymoving two famous pro players. It's a pretty sweet match to watch and gives you an idea of things to come, check out the video below.

Gears Season Pass Revealed

Morning folks,
Last night EPIC posted up the details of the upcoming season pass for Gears of War Judgement which is out on the 22nd March (less than a month to go! cannot wait!). The following as been confirmed to be included:

• Two Add-on packs consisting of:
• Six multi-player maps
• Two new modes
• New weapons
• New armour skins
• Early access to the new multi-player maps
• Five exclusive weapon skins
• Four exclusive armour skins
• Permanent double XP

This will cost 1,600 Microsoft points so not a bad price but in a way I do feel like this was just rushed to be put together. Was a bit shocked to hear the price last night since I thought it was a lot cheaper then the Gears 3 one then I saw the list of content. Only two packs? how fast will they come out? will there be more after? and I really hope the maps are good ones and not just generic ones with a new skin.

I loved the maps in the end packs for Gears 3, especially with the Easter eggs in them like finding elemental cleavers. Anyway they say it will save 20% if you bought the packs separate and I do love the Gears multi-player so I will be picking this up, The double XP is a really nice bonus and makes me wonder how long it will take to level up if they offering that.

Valentine Events

Just a quick one folks but a few games have been setting special events for Valentines day, first up is Simpsons Tapped Out where you can get five free donuts today. That's in the game special currency that you normal swap your cash for so getting some for free is always awesome. Plus I'm hearing they done another update today and increased the town level from 25 to 26 which adds the Wiggum's house which will unlock Ralph and of course a new storyline quest. Will be checking that out in a minute myself.

Onto other games Borderlands 2 have posted up "Loverpalooza" and given out a shift code to redeem, if you not signed up for shift codes then you need to. Most weeks the twitter account for Gearbox Software post up shift codes to unlock Golden Keys, in fact I will try and post up here when a new code goes up. You can also follow Gearbox on twitter yourself and the link is here. Anyway back to the point, Loverpalooza code gives you a special skin for each character (think pink and see above) and Moxxi's "Heartbreaker" shotgun which will adjust to the level of the first character you login with. Bit gutted about that since my character is quite low level since I've not been working on the game, but my own fault really. Anyway the full details can be found on the Gearbox software community page right here but I've been nice and put the codes below as well, you have until February 17th to redeem.

Free Ni No Kuni & Far Cry 3 DLC

Sorry folks but this is for PlayStation 3 fans only and I'm only sure of Europe right now but check out your PlayStation store anyway. So for the Ni No Kuni fans there are two companions free to download right now, Draggle and Golden Hurley. Make sure to download them ASAP before they gone, especially Hurley since originally the only way to get him was through the code included with the Hardback of the games strategy guide.

Cannot find any dates of this ending so take it as soon just in case, but did find that North America will be getting Draggle on the 12th February. So good news there but no idea on Golden Hurley so just check anyway.


Last piece of free DLC is for Far Cry 3 and exclusive to the PlayStation 3, called High Tide and it's a couple more co-op levels to the game. Nice added bonus right there and especially with it being free, again make sure to download it while you can. If you not got Farcry 3 yet like myself, it still does not hurt to download it for future use. 

Ok I just tried to see if I could find any more information about the new co-op levels and went on the Facebook page for the game, seems the DLC just went up for the PC version and is also free. So it's not just exclusive to PS3 any more.
