Pokemon Moon & Sun Announced

Morning readers,
Very late getting this post out but some things came up which could not be helped. So the Pokemon Direct happened on Friday and it was a bit of anti-climactic in my book concerning the announcement.

So Pokemon Moon & Sun are real, its 100% happening so the leak was true and this is great. But we saw nothing really at all about the games from the trailer that was aired, it was nice seeing some old memories but only getting a few seconds of concept art was the wrong way to go.

Only real thing we know is this is a new generation thanks to how they showed it off in the trailer. They went through all the generations and years released then announced Moon and Sun for this year.
Guess we going to have to wait and see what CoroCoro shows off and probably the E3 Nintendo Direct. Concept art looks good; well what bits they did show anyway. Really hoping the graphics are getting closer to a full console release because we need that to happen.

That’s it for now, what was your thoughts on the direct? Needed more? Happy about a new generation? Drop a comment.

Upcoming January 2016

Evening folks,
Cannot believe how fast this month has gone by and it won’t be long before the first of the triple A new release games hit. I thought about doing a post series that focuses on each month with what I’m interested in thats coming out. Of course January is almost over but there is only one video game I’m after this month and it’s not out yet.

Of course that is Lego Marvel Avengers which is releasing in the UK on Friday. It should had come out before Christmas, but of course with Lego Dimensions out I think they did not want to jeopardise the sales of both titles.

So far it seems to be doing well in the states so I cannot wait for Friday. Loved the Jurassic one last year and Dimensions was fantastic so my hopes are on high this one. Just hope the flying/racing is better in this one compared to Lego Marvel Super Heroes. So many of those flying race tracks made me want to hulk smash the controller.

Although this is the only game out this month it was not the only purchase. I did pick up some sets from the Lego Dimensions wave three that released last week. Got the new level pack Ghost Busters so I can finally open the adventure world and of course extra game level with trophies is always good in my books. Then I picked up the DC team pack with Joker and Harley in, started to get into super heroes so I could not resist getting this for my collection.

How cool are these!
Final set was of course Doc Brown from Back to the Future. Look how awesome the mini-figure and train is, like I needed to think about buying it.

So yeah January is a major Lego month for me and I do have to wonder what is next for the franchise. Usually by now we have news of at least one or two more standalone games coming. I really hope for a Lego Simpsons video game, especially after they released the Lego Dimension level set. Think it would work so well if they based on a season or do a big story plot.

Well that’s it for this post folks and I will try to get the February post out next week. No promises since I will be playing Lego Avengers and it might take up all my time. Don’t forget to comment and share what games you got or looking forward too.

New Week

Morning gamers,
So I did pick up Destiny in the end and I have to say no regrets with that decision what so ever. I will not say its amazing and game of the century but it is a really good game. Good solid eight out of ten in my books, what is letting it down is the story campaign which is boring. What makes up for it is the graphics and amazing game play with friends, this is where the game shines. Playing with your friends and the time will just fly by and next thing you know you have spent six hours in the game, forgot tea and got some amazing boss fight stories for your troubles.

I also did pick up Minecraft at the same time on both consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 which came out just a few days before Destiny. Love them to bits or though I am putting more time into the Xbox One version since I have a friends on there up for playing so we have a community world built.

So as you can tell I've got plenty to play with right now and let's not forgot I got Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition for the PlayStation 4 sitting next to my TV. I have decided that I need to use the next few weeks to try and clock a game. My next new release is not until October 3rd which of course is Middle Earth Shadows of Mordor. Really looking forward to getting my hands on that game and from the looks of things I will have the whole of October to play it since most of my new releases got pushed back to November.

My plans until this game comes out is to try and finish the story campaign for Diablo, of course also put some time into Destiny and Minecraft. I also have the Lego Movie game for the Xbox 360 on rental so I could do with working on that and clocking it so I can send it back. Think that's a good game plan to start with this week, it's been a long while since I've clocked a game so I better set off and get started.

Have a good one folks and I will catch up with you again in the week

Looking Forward

Evening folks,
After writing the earlier post about last week I thought it be a good idea to do a post about my thoughts for the upcoming week. It’s going to be a very busy week for non-gaming since I’m heading off on holiday at the end of the week and I got a trip to the Microsoft HQ mid-week there is plenty to do.

Gaming for this week though is huge! It’s the week to start off the end of year releases for me. Starting on Tuesday sees the release of Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition on the consoles. Picking this up on the PlayStation 4 so I can play with the Shadow of Colossus armour and the Last of Us dungeon. Really looking forward to playing Reaper of Souls content since I’ve not had chance to touch it on the PC yet. Going to transfer my save over from the PS3 so I can jump straight into the expansion on the PS4.

So yeah that’s the first game to start off my end of year releases although the next one will not be coming out until September (probably Destiny first). Although I did just find out Swords Art Online for the Vita is releasing this week. I completely forgot this was coming out since the last I heard it was meant to hit the marketplace back in July. Not sure about this game fully yet since I’ve not had time to the watch anime TV show but the concept sounds amazing. Will have to wait and see what the price is for the game, probably have to wait until after my holiday to pick it up.

So that’s it for releases this week but I do need to start working on some gaming though, not sure where I will fit it in though with the less free time this week. Oh wow I just remember there is one more thing releasing this week! The next expansion for Star Wars Old Republic hits on Tuesday as well. Wow I’m really shocked I forgot the early access starts this week because I was subscribed. This expansion introduces strongholds so player houses/bases basically which will be awesome to store all the cool loot. Player housing in Star Wars Galaxies was one of my favourite things for that game so I have high expectations for it in SWTOR.

So this game along with World of Warcraft is on my list to start replaying again since I’ve recently not been giving it the time of day it deserves, plus I’m wasting timecards which is never a good thing.
It’s going to be a busy week with everything I want to play and should be playing. Warcraft, SWTOR, Diablo and so on, need to get some games completed before the big October rush hits.

How about you folks? Got plenty to play? Or have you been keeping on top of you gaming pile? On that note I’m going to head off and play some games.

Night folks,
Iznic
