Looking Good

Evening folks,
Currently suffering from Hay fever and a cold so what a way to spend the weekend. Anyway did any of you catch the Star Wars Old Republic stream the other night which was showing off Stronghold footage?

I feel in love with it soon as they started and I cannot believe how big the Nar Shaddaa living space is and that's going to be offered free to people who already subscribed. In fact if you was subscribed before a certain day in May you get five rooms unlocked as well which is awesome.

If you missed the video but do want to know check out the full information page which is linked here. They meant to be archiving the video they did but so far I cannot seem to find anything yet but once I do will put it but for now all the information is on that page I've just linked. At the end of the video they showed off one of the biggest strongholds that is on Tatooine, check out the teaser trailer below.

Cannot wait for the early access in August so i can start playing this, I'm amazed how much this expansion has brought me back to this game. I think its because it reminds me slightly of Star Wars Galaxies but only a little.

Thing I like about MMO's is collecting and crafting so I love the idea of having a base where I can store/display my collections. Shame the customisation is not huge like being able to put things on desks and shelves but they have done an excellent job. I'm looking forward to seeing what else this expansion will bring and there should be another stream this Wednesday, each stream will cover a different topic on the expansion so this should be good.

Star Wars The Old Republic Expansion Preview Today

Just seen on the Star Wars website that starting today they will be doing a weekly stream on Twitch showing off the new strongholds for the upcoming expansion. All the details are below but if you into the game and want to see what you can do with your own places then it looks to be worth a watch. Will be checking out myself since I want to see how the strongholds look in game.

Where: www.twitch.tv/swtor
Time: 8.30pm GMT / 1.30pm PDT - 2nd July 2014
Star Wars Website Announcement: http://www.swtor.com/info/news/news-article/20140701

The new expansion is what got me interested back into the game, I loved having my own place in Star Wars Galaxies where I could store all my stuff on display. In fact I had multiple houses and made small museums using the rare loot I found. Really interested to see this stream tonight to see what kind of housing we getting plus how much freedom we have with the decorating. If you want details on the new expansion check out the video below and the official page for it after that.

One Day to Go

Morning gamers,
Tomorrow is the big day and we finally get to play Watch_Dogs!! I cannot explain how excited I am to get my hands on it. I will be picking up the DEDSEC edition so expect a unboxing soon after, well that's it I can stop myself from playing the game.

Will be doing my best to try and go for the Platinum trophy but not checked the trophy list yet since I don't want any spoilers. Anyway I will be talking about Watch_Dogs more in the week but now it's going to have to wait. Onto my gaming news I've fully clocked Battleship on the Xbox 360 so that's another 1,000 gamer score to my goal. May has been a really good for month me with Lego Hobbit PS4 Platinum, Lego Movie Xbox One 1,000g, Walking with Dinosaurs PS3 Platinum and South Park Stick of Truth Xbox 360 1,000g. Six games fullly clocked that has to be a new record for me and in fact I'm only just under 800g from hitting 160,000 which was my goal before Watch_Dogs comes out.

Not a bad run to say I nearly hit 4,000g in two weeks so I'm very proud of myself, even more prouder to have some more games completed on my list. Next month is going to be taken up with Watch_Dogs and after that I'm not sure, there are two games coming out next month that I kinda want but thinking I will hold off to save some money (Last of Us Remasted and Sniper Elite 3).

Over the weekend I've been playing Star Wars Old Republic and I've started a new character, got myself a Sith Warrior that's currently about to hit level 8. Loving the story so far with this character and I'm really starting to get back into the game. I have promised myself to give some more time to the MMO scene since I keep waisting my credit for them. Need to make some time for Warcraft todya since I did start levelling up a Horde Shaman. So much to do! got a list a mile long to play and I got plenty of other things to do.

Speaking of things to do I have a couple of blog changes that will be happening over the next few days, some new pages I want to add and few to edit. I will post up a update once they done along with what I've done so keep an eye out for that. On that note I'm going to shoot since I want to get some game time in before I need to rush off. Have a good one folks and don't forget Watch_Dogs tomorrow!!!! woot!!!

Plans for the evening

Morning folks,
Will be rushing off in a second to head to work but I thought it was about time I got a general post up, I was planning to type this up after work but the more time I got later the better. Over the last week I've not really done much gaming, the only thing to report was I finished the last two-three levels of Defence Grid and that was it.

So yesterday I finally sat down and finish chapter four off for Phantasy Star Universe and then finished Episode 3 of Phoenix Wright Trials and Tribulations. Not a bad way to end the day to be honest but anyway I decided I wanted to do a gaming evening tonight. Planning to try and get the fifth chapter completed for Phantasy Star, well depends on how the boss battle turns out. Then I'm going to jump onto World of Warcraft, my timecard ran out a few weeks back and my new one has just been sitting on my desk since. No doubt I've lost a ton of items in my mail box again, really need to be more organised with that. So yeah anyway I want to reboot it up and do a few quests, see what the new patches have brought.

After that going to take it as it goes, thinking either to jump onto Star Wars Old Republic or watch a movie. Not sure at this point but depends on how the first two games go, might get wrapped up into them and lose all my time.

That's my plans for today and for the rest of the week will be pretty much the same with me trying to finish off Phantasy Star. I'm also tempted to try out a new game that I was looking into last night, Planetside 2. SOE new FPS MMO that is free-to-play, watched a few videos last night and I am really tempted. Reminds me a lot of Battlefield in most ways.

Might try and download the client this week, give it a few hours try but not sure yet since I've got plenty to play already. We will see and on that note I better go run since I will be late for work, have a good one folks and I will try to post soon again.

P.S. On a finally note I will leave you with a gameplay video

Another Platinum

Morning folks,
Really did not want to get out of bed this morning, so hope everyone is ok and having some great gaming time. I'm enjoy the British summer while gaming my evenings away, plenty of fun. Actually while I'm typing this I've got The Simpsons Tapped Out on the iPad playing.

It's not a bad game, basically its a free to play game for the iOS devices but has no become available on Andriod through google play.

Basically Homer has blown up Springfield so it's up to you to rebuild it with the help of Homer and Lisa. You place the buildings where you want, sign jobs to the characters which earns you money and XP. Buildings also generate XP and Money over time as well, the xp levels you up which unlocks more story quests which unlocks new characters, buildings etc which of course you use the money for to build.

It's pretty fun game but can get repetitive quite easily and there is a lot of premium items that costs donuts which you can get a few free but the rest you have to buy. That's where I draw the line because some of the pricing is ridiculous, one of the event items unlocked a wishing well with the Leprechaun character and that cost roughly £7. So yeah if you do start playing this game be careful what you buying through the premium service.

Anyway back to good things about the game, well the story is written by the shows writers and the voices are doing by the right actors/actresses. Holiday events having been occurring in the past year, we have had Halloween, Christmas, Valentines Day, Saint Patricks Day, 4th July and so on. My verdict is worth playing, it's free so you cannot lose just be careful spending on the premium stuff.

Now I really should get back to the original post I wanted to write out, was not expecting to do a small review of the game. So yeah where was I, oh yeah I got the Platinum trophy for the retail version of Back to the Future. That's pretty much it for my gaming this week, reason being with Lovefilm turning off the game rentals I wanted to get as much out of my rental list as I can before the August deadline. I will be working on Phantasy Star Online again tonight, hopefully get a chapter or two out of the way. Got a few days off over the weekend so I'm hoping to get a small gaming marathon at one point, trying and get a few chapters done. Maybe even put some more time into the Last of Us as well finally.

In fact I could do with putting some into my MMO games since they have been sitting their for weeks. Maybe sort out a MMO night some time in the week and try to make it a regular thing, could be fun. Anyway folks on that note I'm going to shoot since I need to get a few jobs done before I head to work.

Patch Day

Morning folks,
It's been one of those week's so far but I'm thinking today will change that, well after I get out of work first since I got a huge list of jobs to do when I go in. Anyway you not here to read about that, your here for games! well welcome to the start of the March madness. How is everyone? did you pick up Tomb Raider? what a game and I've only spent two hours on it last night. Seriously folks this is a game you need to pick up, think of it like Uncharted meets Batman with a hint of Assassin's Creed 3. The game really does get to you and you cannot help but feel for Lara and this very bad day, poor girl should not had got out of bed that morning.

I am annoyed though because this morning I checked out the achievement list which is quite poor to be honest for such a great game, 50% multi-player, 30% collectibles, 25% kill x with Y, 4% other secret and only one achievement for the game it self which is finishing the story. Anyway I'm annoyed because I found out there are seven achievements miss able meaning having to redo the game again and I've missed the start of one already. With the others if you miss them you can just restart and not play the full game but this one seems I would have to redo pretty much the entire game. So I am thinking of restarting now while I'm still at the start, not sure yet but we will see later.

Apart from that not much to report in the ways of games, oh wait actually that is a lie since I did not come back on Sunday. Remember I planned that huge gaming day with lots of games, well the plan was scrapped. I decided to start with Star Wars Old Republic to give it another try since the time is running out this week, thought give it an hour then go onto World of Warcraft. Yeah well that hour turned into three, no idea what happened but I just could not stop playing. Was really getting into my Bounty Hunter with the main story, was amazed when I realised the time spent on it. So yeah I will be renewing the time card well if I can find one, if not I will just buy a month from the site. I checked out the difference between Free-To-Play and premium, it's not good. XP is halved, character slots down to two, loss of one of the crafting professions, no high end loot, restrictions on messaging and so on. It's like you only get 10% of the game and the rest you have need to buy, thought the Free-to-Play was meant to tempt people into the game but all that would scare me away if I've never played the game before.

After that I did do a small session on Warcraft then continued with two levels on Hitman Contracts HD, working my way through on Professional difficulty and getting Silent Assassin Ranks. Probably going to be shelving that for a few weeks since I suspect Tomb Raider will keep me busy this week then next Tuesday is Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm launch. I knew I hard forgot something this morning, it's patch day for World of Warcraft so 5.2 is going live. There is a huge quest based island being added where players take part every day with daily quests to help unlock further stages in the war effort, so for example first week you start the invasion and land on the island. Quests will be based on making a beach head, then after a week or until a certain criteria is meet the second stage starts which is the beach head made and progress into the island and so on.

I love these kinda of quests so I will be making sure to spend a session each night to do the daily quests and help out. Oh wow there is a single-player scenario added that lets you loot a tomb for loads of treasure, of course plenty of traps and a timer but sounds awesome. Second island nearby called the Island of Giants, lots of quests there to get awesome new mounts. Oh man this patch sounds awesome, think Tomb Raider will not be hogging all my time this week.

Reading through the patch guide on wowhead.com and I got to say there is too much to take in, so many changes and new things. It's like a whole new game as been added and I just realised how much there is to do at level 90, I had no idea there was legendary quest line and I had forgot about the pet battles (think Pokemon). Lot's of new achievements have been added as well and looks like some of the holidays will be upgraded for the new expansion which is good. Professions have a lot of new stuff as well, could do with working on those soon.

Right I better stop with this post now since I need to have breakfast and go to work, safe to say I will be busy gaming when I get back. Hope you all having a great week and enjoying all the new games, catch you soon!

March Weekend

Afternoon folks,
Well it's my day off finally so I'm planning to game all day with a few blog posts thrown in when I have a minute spare. Thinking it will mostly be a multi-player day today since I don't want to really get into any game right now since Tomb Raider should arrive tomorrow or Tuesday. Really excited to play it which I am shocked about since I've never really been a huge fan of the Lara Croft series. I only got into by playing Legends a few years back and Underworld which I still say is one of my favourite games.

So since I don't want to get into anything new today I will be focusing on games I need to clean up and playing multi-player matches later. Currently working on Hitman Contracts HD the last few days trying to get all the achievements, I just need two more Silent Assassin ranks on Professional and I will get two achievements for that (difficulty achievements stack). Will then continue my second run through on professional to unlock the last difficulty achievements and then that just leaves me with collecting all the weapons achievements. So I will be focusing on that at some point this afternoon plus I might jump onto Saints Row the Third for the PS3, last time I went on I had finished Act One and was part way through the second act plus working on the challenges.

For the multi-player games this evening I'm thinking some Battlefield 3 and Black Ops 2 matches for some fun, been a week or two since my last session. Very tempted to pick up the Black Ops 2 season pass lately since I was really enjoying myself and having some more maps would be great. Plus I've heard Microsoft are giving Microsoft Points away when you buy the season pass, 400 back so you could say it's on sale right now. See how tonight's session goes anyway before I decide to buy it.

Finally the major games I want to play today is the MMO's, World of Warcraft and Old Republic. Last week of my time card for Old Republic so if I don't get into it then I will not be renewing it and let it slip to free-to-play. I have picked up a new card for Warcraft so my plans for that today is to focus on the zones I've not quested in and start looking into upgrading my gear, plus I could do with levelling some of my professions.

It's safe to say I've got plenty to keep me busy with today so on this note I'm going to head off and start, oh by the way did any of you catch the Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flags trailer yesterday? yeah it got leaked for like an hour. Really feel for Ubisoft right now since pretty much everything has been leaked about the game. But on the positive side the trailer was awesome and it's going to be a great game from the looks.

Warcraft and Starcraft

Good Morning,
Last night the official trailer for the new World of Warcraft patch went live, say hello to 5.2 The Thunder King.

Shame I'm not in a guild because I would love to have ago at that raid, the bosses shown look amazing and fun. Got to love the part where the army of trolls march along with the giant dinosaurs, anyway the patch is meant to be huge and adding entire new zone with plenty to do. Think it's hitting next week if I can remember right.

Speaking of Blizzard as well a new trailer went up for the upcoming Starcraft game, Heart of the Swarm. Nicknamed Vengeance it's once again showing hints at the continuing story but this video is a little different, included is a developer talk where they talk about the game and answer questions from fans. Then at the end is a showcase match showing off Heart of the Swarm multi-player between Grubby and Crazymoving two famous pro players. It's a pretty sweet match to watch and gives you an idea of things to come, check out the video below.

Watch live video from Starcraft on TwitchTV
So plenty to keep you busy with you are a Blizzard fan, to me it's brilliant but I am worried with so much happening at once how am I going to play it all.

Start of the Week

Monday morning, I should hate it being the fact it's the start of another week but I usually get today off so it kinda gets balanced out. Anyway hope you all had a fun filled weekend of gaming, I really did not get up to much myself, had a small session of Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires and one game of League of Legends. Was too busy tiding up and doing odd jobs, plus had a small movie marathon last night since I spend way too much time on my gaming and neglect my movies and books.

Had a bit of a shock loading up Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires though, it's subtitled this time around so I need to try and get use to reading the notification messages during battle. Before I would just listen out and still be able to pay attention to what was happening, now I keep having to glance to read which is costing me in a fight. Need to learn to balance that out but it's a fun game anyway, seems more in depth compared to the last ones so I think this platinum trophy will be a lot more challenging. Worth a check out if you into these type of strategy/action games.

So as I said not much this weekend for gaming, did do a lot of thinking and planning though. Oh actually before I go into that I did find something amusing during my tiding. My HD DVD player for the Xbox 360, picked up one last year really cheap, think it was something like £2.50 and when I got it home found a copy of Van Helsing left inside the disc tray. Bargain of the year that was and such a shame the format did not kick off, if they had put the drive into the Xbox like Sony did with the Blu-ray and PlayStation 3 it might be still here. Nothing really different between the two formats except HD DVD are all region free, that was the massive positive in my book. Anyway wonder if we will see a Blu-ray player in the new Xbox this year, hope so since they need to take advantage of the bigger disc space.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway back to the original subject of me thinking, well I was thinking about of multiple things. First MMO's and more specifically the ones I'm currently playing, World of Warcraft and Old Republic. If you been a long time reader of my blog you know one of my bad points is wasting money on time cards that I do not get my worth out of, one three hour session for a 60 day time card is not a good thing. Well the end of the time is coming up for Warcraft and I'm sure Old Republic will be soon too, so I was wondering is it worth reinvesting into another card for each. Of course this will all depend on did I get plenty of time out the current ones. World of Warcraft I would say without a doubt since I hit level 90, was on every day for the last two weeks doing the Valentines dungeons and spent quite a few sessions levelling up and questing. In fact I will just check out Raptr to see what the time was and it says in the last month I've clocked twelve hours, well the time card is two months so not bad. Especially when you fork out £40 for a console game and get around six hours game play.

Old Republic is another story in it's self and in fact Raptr as no data for the last month of me playing, if I did it would be less then an hour. Found it! Raptr blog activity last post was 11th February for 44 minutes, I will admit I don't think I've got my moneys worth. I started off well but the last few weeks I've not been on, the game is good but I don't know it's like I don't have a reason to sit down and play it. It's not gripping me I guess and I really don't know, I have wondered if playing a different class might help since they all different stories and game styles.

I've just checked and I've got twelve days left of my time card so I'm going to try a different character, the thing is that the game is free-to-play now of course you lose a lot of bonus for not being a premium member (cannot remember what). So I could still technically play it after my time runs out just with lots of penalties, see what happens with the next twelve days anyway.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So that was my thoughts on the MMO's and I did think about console games as well with the same subject line of moneys worth. My pile of shame is huge and now with possibility of seeing the next generation of consoles this year the pressure is on really. I do feel like kicking myself for not playing some of these games, there are lot of amazing games this generation that I've not touched like Heavy Rain, Dark Souls, Demons Souls etc and plenty of games I've started and not finished. Over the last few weeks and in fact since the start of this year I have realise with so many games coming out and buying so many at the same time it does become hard to decide on what to play. A lot get shelved and a lot of time is wasted trying to decide on what to play, in fact I can say I've spent at least one night trying to decide on what to play then giving up for a film because there was too many choices.

In the old days when I was kid I barely bought any games, but when I did my god would I get my times worth out of them. I would love to see how many hours was spent on Ages of Empires 2 and Jedi Knight 2, I would easily say 200+ hours if not more. Now I be lucky to give them one hour so yeah I was thinking about that and of course the costs. In fact with the PlayStation 4 announcement I wrote down all the titles I wanted and rough guessed the price plus the console price. Guessing at £400 for the console and £50 per game, my want list came to nearly £1,000! so as you can imagine I nearly spat my drink out.

This is where this thought started, say all those games came out on the launch day how would I play them all? some would get pushed to the side or even shelved. So why buy them all if I'm not going to play them and that was it, I started with all this thinking and started to look at the Pile of Shame. You probably wondering where I'm going with all this rambling, well I don't know really. I think I need to cut back on my spending, maybe just buy one game at time and I don't buy the next until I've finished the last. Would make life simpler but then I only have to look at my challenge to see I cannot even do that right.

Food for thought anyway and on this note I'm going to go get ready because I suppose to be leaving soon for the Cinema to see Die Hard 5. I did not realise the time and spent way too much time writing this so take care all and I will see you soon.

Thoughts for the day

Good morning readers,
Have to laugh right now because I made to get ready for work in advance so I could have some time before I go to write a post or two for the blog. I had good hour before I need to leave when I sat but yet some how I've now only got less then twenty minutes before I need to pack up and I've only just started typing. How did that happen? but oh well I can continue writing when I get back since I'm only doing a short shift today.

Anyway onto gaming news and I've got plenty to talk about today so to start off with let's talk about what I've been playing. Well over the weekend I finally started League of Legends, when my computer was down a friend at work kept telling me about it so I started watching a few live streams and well it looked amazing. Reminded me of Warcraft with the art style and skill trees but with tower defence game play, so since I rebuilt my PC I've been wanting to play it and I did download the game on the first day but just never got around to it. Getting off topic here but yeah I've started getting into it although I've not done any player vs player yet, just been doing full bot matches to get some practise in. The one problem I keep hearing is that League of Legends is terrible for trolls, bad language and unsporting behaviour. Amazing enough a post appeared the other day about the developers banning two pro players for having to many complaints against them, the words "again" was used so they not the first pro players to get banned.

So yeah I really want to get some practise in before I have to throw myself into the deep end with some of the worst gamers out there. Have to say though the bot matches are hard, you be amazed how life like they play. After watching the streams and how people play you really cannot tell the difference and the difficulty setting is set low as well.

The picture above is the Champion Ashe a snow ranger and my favourite character so far, I had to unlock her with some of my points. Good news is you don't have to keep paying for points to unlock the extra content, there is a second set of points that you earn from playing games that can be used as well. Takes a lot longer but saves on the pennies none the less and right now I'm not really wanting to be spending anything on extra content just yet. Anyway I unlocked her and loving her play style, long range with slow down abilities equals a win in my book. Her defence is a bit terrible but I make that up with getting specific items in the match, that's what I'm still learning since there are tons of items you can buy during the match to boost your champion up with. A lot of trial and error to be honest but as you can see League of Legends as pretty much sucked me in, although in my defence I have had two days without playing. Trying to be a little good but I did destroy my MMO time last weekend, I did nothing on Warcraft which I'm kicking myself for. I did get time on Star Wars the Old Republic and cleaned up a few more quests and levelled up to 18, I had to laugh though I found out I had over twenty new skills waiting at my trainer which explains why I been struggling with certain fights.

Because I've been playing the game on and off I kept forgetting to visit the trainer when I levelled so they just built up, had a ton of new improved damage skills and self heals! could had done with those so many times. But I'm now sorted and back up to date, will be playing again on my next day off with the mission to finish my last group quest in my log which has been bugging me for a while. Although my main plans for my next day off is to make up for lost time with Warcraft, I'm only one level away from 90 and I've still not done any dungeons since I've had my PC back. So that will be my main goal for my next day, couple of dungeons and hit level 90!.

So that's it for my PC adventures but I have been playing one more game, well I did dabble on some other games but I'm now one hundred percent focused on Mass Effect one for the PlayStation 3. Been wanting to replay the series for a while so the trilogy was a great excuse plus I get trophies for my trouble as well. I had a three hour plus marathon session yesterday evening and unlocked my Spectre status and rescued Liara from the Geth.

I'm currently playing the Engineer class for the first time since there are quite a few trophies linked to the abilities so thought it would be good to go with that first. Decided on my squad being Liara and Tali since when I first played the game they seemed the weakest two characters, right now I'm playing on a normal difficulty so I can enjoy the game and clock a ton of trophies at the same time. Plus the insane difficulty will not unlock until I've done one play through at least. Really enjoying the game so far and it's brought back a lot of memories but I got to say there is a lot of bugs, more so then I can remember in the Xbox original version. Freezing when moving, visual problems, lag jumps and sometimes even voices out of sync with character lips. Had a nightmare last night where the camera de-synced with the talking, so while the commander was talking my camera was stuck focused behind his head so I could not see anything.

Hoping for a patch or two to fix some of these errors since it seems this was a bad port over but at least they don't happen all the time, just a little too often for my liking though.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well that's it for what I've been playing and this as got to be one of my longest posts I've done in a long time, it's nice because I usually struggle to get a post done. Now the thing is I still got a lot I want to talk about so not sure if to continue with this post or split them up to make it a little more easier to read. Ok I just previewed the post to see what it would like and yeah it's a bit long so I will end this section here and continue in a second post, fingers crossed I will stick to my word and get a second post done. You know what I'm like with these things but anyway take care folks and don't forget to drop a line with what you been playing, I'm always up for hearing about your adventures.

One day to go

Good morning folks,
As you probably read the title you going to wonder what I mean by just one day to go, well tomorrow is the launch date for Borderlands 2 in the UK. This game to me signals the start of the huge end of year line up of game launches. Starting with tomorrow we have Borderlands 2 then next Tuesday Mists of Pandaria hits the shelves  and will be keeping me busy for a while. Saturday sees Angry Birds Trilogy coming to the main consoles as well, I'm very addicted to that game and adding achievements just screams to me to get on day one.

Goes slightly quiet for a week then it goes to hell in October and November, in fact there is one to two games a week coming out in most parts. I've had all the launches that I know of so far into my calendar and it's shocking how little time is between each one. I wonder if any of you guys have a long list of "must buy" games this year.

Anyway I need to go through some of my gaming and get some more trade-ins sorted, thinking some of the games I said I would play need to go. I did like most of the games but since doing the test posts I've not bothered with them and I don't see myself playing them this year now with all the new stuff coming out which will take up all my time. Plus it would save me some money which is always a good thing in my books.

Completely going off topic I did try out the pre-event for Mists of Pandaria (World of Warcraft) last night, well I tried to anyway since I found to my horror that my gear is too low level so the event was locked to me. I thought I could upgrade a few of my items and that would be enough to get me in but to my horror my complete set is massively out of date. It need a full brand new set which would take some time to do and since it's like five or six days to the launch it won't happen. Will miss out on the feat of strength achievement and tabard reward but oh well, my own fault for not playing properly.

This is what happens when you pile up too many games and don't give them the proper time, you miss out on a lot of stuff. Another good example is I'm working on Borderlands right now since I've never really got past level 7 before, currently playing four player co-op on the PlayStation with some mates and single player on the Xbox 360. I want the second one tomorrow but I cannot play it until I'm done which is annoying because no doubt someone will try to ruin the story for me. I know I really should wait to buy Borderlands 2 since I've not finished the first but I really want all the nice pre-order bonus items, the extra class and golden key stuff looks awesome.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So yeah not sure what else to talk about now other then I plan to play Warcraft to get a few things ready for the launch of the expansion, also work on Borderlands on the side as well. Oh yeah the Tokyo game show is currently happening and I'm seeing a lot of game announcements that I'm interested in so I will be posting about that soon so stay tuned for that. Think I will end this post now and go take a look at whats happening, see if anything else is coming out at Christmas.

Have a good one folks,

The Return of MMO Night

The second MMO Night is upon me and I've been looking forward to getting some time online for the whole week, my attempt to get online Sunday was an epic fail followed by Monday's disaster as well thanks to work. So back to the matter on hand and that's to game my night away, well actually first I'm going to read my post from last week since I'm sure I wanted to do something important this week and I've completely forgot.

Ah ha! I was going to work on factions this week in World of Warcraft to get some cool enchants to boost my stats and clean up old quests on Star Wars with maybe some PVP for the first time as well. Will I do this stuff? who knows I rather just jump in and enjoy the game but it is nice to have something to work towards now and again. Actually I just remembered I cannot jump into the game straight away, need to activate my time cards first so small draw back. Could do with a drink too, ok so MMO night will start in ten-twenty minutes.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok lets try this again, time cards are now inputted and I've got a nice glass of orange on hand so let the gaming begin!

I forgot to mention that yesterday morning the server was dead so I spent about an hour doing the Easter event getting all 500 chocolate eggs so I was able to get the new mount. Not exactly the best looking mount but at least it counts towards the mount achievement which unlocks a very cool Blue Dragonhawk mount. Anyway just looked into my standing with the factions I need for the enchants, I'm maxed out with Hyjal so thats the head enchant sorted but the rest still need work on. In fact the one I'm starting Neutral with them since I've done no quests with them yet, guessing they based in the Twilight Highlands since I've never been to that zone yet.

Going to start with the faction Therazane since my stance with them is Honored and very close to levelling up, they given an awesome shoulder enchant so I've been told. Wow just flicking through the achievements and found out there are daily cooking quests for all the major cities, I thought only Stormwind (major alliance capital) was the only one. For those who don't know me well I really love the profession side to MMO's, the daily quests are usually unique quests to help raise your level and usually pretty fun to do. Plus an achievement on top for added measure is always good in my books, guess I will need to take a detour to these major cities before I pop to see the Therazane.

Wonder what else I'm missing out, ohhh new fishing quests too as well in the cities, ok at this rate I'm not going to get anything done. So my plan is to do today's quests in each of the cities then go to the factions, won't be going into too much detail though so don't worry.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Just did my first cooking quest at Darnassus (gathering jars, was ok nothing special) and the reward maxed out my cooking profession level so now I'm a Illustrious Grand Master Cook and got an achievement for the trouble. Then the fishing quest was pretty fun which involved me having to catch baby Octopus in the shallow water at the base of the city. Each city as five unique quests for cooking and fishing, of course they do repeat so it will take at least five days to get the achievements if I'm lucky. Not sure if I will keep coming back each day or just try my luck each MMO night and hope for the best.

Ok I thought I was losing it since just arrived at Ironforge the Dwarf capital yet no daily quests to be found so I've just looked into it and I can only do one cooking and one fishing quest a day. So I've done my allocation for the day at Darnassus so this is going to take a lot longer then I thought, on top of that while I was there I checked out the Druid trainer to find I got a ton of skills to learn. Now I really am behind in Warcraft to say I didn't learn all my skills.

Going to get on with my questing now and starting get that faction reputation built up, anyway going to stop writing less now and actually play

Therazane The Stone Mother
Just finished with Therazane for today and it was great, levelled my reputation up to Revered so one more level and I'm maxed out with them. I was also able to upgrade one of my rings so that's boosted my stats more and I have noticed I'm doing a lot more damage now in fights thanks to the new gear. Also during one of the daily quests I was able to dodge all the mushroom attacks from the boss which unlocked a Quest Achievement, so overall a good nights work but need to call it for now
or I won't have time for Star Wars.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Last week I ended the game after doing the flash point Black Talon but I never did set up my new gear that I picked up so I've just tried on the gear. Looks a bit like a Stormtrooper to be honest but very cool none the less, check out the screen shot to the right.

Just sent my companion out on a mission to gather some Underworld materials (one of my professions), while shes off I'm going to do a space mission then head over to Hutta to clear up my old quests that I missed.

---------------------------------

Ending it for the night, I did clear up two quests after making my way to Hutta but I've got the man flu so my head is killing me. So going to hit the sack and try again next week. Hopefully next week I can give both games more time especially Star Wars.
