Pokemon Shiny Event

Folks don't forget that in the UK right now is the shiny legendary event, I say this now because the first Pokemon is about to end on Friday so it's your last chance.

Shiny Dialga is the current Pokemon you can gain right now and then on Friday it will switch over to Palkia, later on and finally Giratina. Not sure how to get your hands on these Pokemon well pop into your local GAME retail store and bring your copy of Pokemon White/Black/White 2/Black 2 along with your DS/3DS.

Just boot the game up and load up mystery gift then check out the wireless connection, all the stores should have a DS in store distributing the Pokemon over a wi-fi channel. It's that simple so don't miss out while you still can get them, don't forget the chances of getting a shiny in the game is something like 1 in 8,000+.

P.S. Gamestop in North America is running this event as well but using a different times and dates so check out your local store for details. Same for any other countries around the world, check out your local major retailer for information or serebii.net will have the answer for you.

Pokemon Event and X/Y Preorder Bonus

There as been quite a bit of information released for Pokemon over the last few days so I thought it be wise to do a post around it in case someone misses it. First off there is a giant Pokemon event happening soon where you can download three shiny legendary Pokemon for Black 2 and White 2.

For those in the UK it's a GAME event and all stores will be taking part (that I can see), it starts 30th August with Shiny Dialga and will end on 12th September. Then the day after 13th September you will be able to download Shiny Palkia up until 26th September. Finally on the 27th September Shiny Giratina will be up for download until th 12th October.

As you can see this all tied into the release of Pokemon X and Y, they have also announced in the UK that GAME will have a exclusive pre-order bonus. A Pokeball 3DS cartridge holder which can be seen below.

Very cool and I better start working on finishing Black 2 ready for X and Y, think I've got 6 of my 8 badges so far so not long now. One last thing was mentioned last night on the GAME twitter account that over the next few weeks there will be some Pokemon news worth checking back for. Really hoping it will be the announcement of the themed 3DS XL's that Japan is getting. Now before I go I have posted the dates for the North America download below which is being run by GAMESTOP, check with your local store to make sure they taking part.

Deoxys Pokemon Event Update

Morning folks,
If you remember a week or two ago I did a post about a upcoming download event for Pokemon where you get Deoxys. Well it went live yesterday and I nearly forgot, anyway serebii reminded me and put up some more details about it.

First up it's for the English games of Pokemon White 2 and Black 2 only, the event will end on the 31st May. Just connect your console up to the wi-fi and download it through the mystery gift system like normal.

The Deoxys is level 100 and holds the life orb plus it comes with the following four moves:
Nasty Plot
Dark Pulse
Recover
Psycho Boost

Sounds like an awesome addition to any ones team so yeah make sure not to miss out and keep an eye on serebii for any more future events. I will post about any that do appear but Serebii is the best place for all things Pokemon.

Deoxys Pokemon Event

Starting 8th May and ending on the 31st May you will able to download Deoxys for the first time on Pokemon White and Black or White 2 and Black 2.

This is for the English versions of the games so North American and most of Europe, not much details have been announced yet on the Pokemon except it will be level 100. To get it just simply hook up your console to your wi-fi and download it by the start up menu like in the past.

Keep your eyes on serebii.net for more information like move stats etc once they announced, I will update once I find out as well but usually serebii.net is the best placed for Pokemon news.

Meloetta Pokemon Event

Morning folks,
Just a reminder to any Pokemon fans out their in the UK, the Meloetta event will be starting tomorrow across the country. Pop into any GAME store with your DS and a copy of either Pokemon White 2/Black 2/White/Black to download Meloetta to your game.

As far as I am aware it will be the same one that America is currently doing so it should be level 50 with a PP Max. If you take it to Castelia City in your game it will be able to learn Relic Song which will allow it to change into it's Pirouette Form. Also been told in the versions White 2 and Black 2 it will unlock a FunFest Mission to play.

So don't miss out folks since the event will end April 19th 2013 so you have plenty of time to do it, for those in America the event is being run by Gamestop right now and ends on the 24th March 2013. Australia will be getting the event at EBGames starting April 19th with no information yet on end date, check your local store for information.

Will be popping in myself with all my copies of Pokemon tomorrow, still need to finish Pokemon Black 2 so really could do with adding it to my must play list. Oh by the way if you live in America did you see the good news about the Pikachu 3DS XL? yes you will be getting it finally, not information yet on which stores will be stocking it but I would have chat with your local retailers.

Pokemon Event: Genesect

Morning folks,
I really need to get back into "sleep ins" because getting up at 7am with no work for hours is just killing me. Anyway since I'm up I thought I would start with getting all these posts up I've been promising myself for the last month, so first up is the Pokemon White 2 and Black 2 download event for Genesect.

This is the first time anyone has been able to get this Pokemon (legally), the event is through the normal Wi-fi channel so just connect your DS. The event ends on November 12th for America and Europe so don't leave it too late to get it. The Pokemon is level 15 and will activate a special event at the P2 lab in Pokemon White/Black/White 2/Black 2, it will also come with the move set Solar Beam/Signal Beam/Techno Blast/Magnet Bomb.

Well I did think that was it for the Pokemon event but I just checked the official site for the Europe end date and found a few C-Gear skins events are live on the Global Link site. So let's begin with three new Pokemon dolls for your dream house (Black Kyurem, White Kyurem and Meloetta), in game you get a mail from the Pokemon Fan club this month giving you the password. Make sure to check your club mailbox for that password since I cannot find one on the net so I'm guessing it's one time use instead of the normal generic ones.

Next up is a Pikachu doll and the password is somewhere on the Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 website, for the UK the password is RAPDRA (if you live elsewhere just pop to www.pokemon.com/BlackWhite2 then go to news).

Keldeo Ordinary form C-Gear skin is also up for the original Black and White games, password is KELDEOCGEARBW for the UK. Again just pop to your local Pokemon web page and look at the news stories to find a post with the passwords. There is also a Keldeo Resolute form for the new games White 2 and Black 2, again the password should be in the same news post but for the UK it's KELDEOCGEARBW2.

Important: Make sure to register your new games to the global link, I forgot to register my Black 2 so all the events related to that game would not appear until I had done it.

Finally there is a Halloween C-Gear for Black 2 and White 2, it's a Pumpkin Pikachu and it does not need a password just click the button to get it. So that's it folks so make sure not to miss out on any of these and the list of ends dates are below.

Got to Defeat Them All

Afternoon folks,
Currently having a giant marathon of Pokemon White today in the hope that I can get the story completed in time for the sequel. The other day for some reason I had it in my head there was only six gyms so that was why I posted it was possible to get the game done, then I remembered you needed eight gym badges. Anyway I'm currently on five thanks to this morning and now fighting Team Plasma but I needed a break since my 3DS needs charging, plus I could do with a cup of tea.

I'm currently using the one Pokemon strategy that I talked about several months ago, my starting Pokemon Tepig is now a Emboar and it's level 44. It's great since most of the NPC's right now are average 24 so a lot of the time I'm just breezing through the fights, really got my fingers crossed that I can do the story by tonight. It would be so awesome since I've not done the Elite Four since Pokemon Gold (first time around) back in the day, I always pick up the games when they come out but usually stop around the 4th gym. No shock there really since most of the games I get shelved, anyway so yeah it's all about Pokemon right now.

Thought I would give you guys a small update before I get back to it, really enjoying it to the point I've actually had the TV show in the background playing.

P.S. Will be sorting my trade in pile later ready for Dishonored and Pokemon White 2, going to be a costly week but at least nothing else now until the 30th with Assassin's Creed 3. Although I do have a bad thought that I might had missed something.

Hello October

Seems there was a glitch with my Lovefilm app on my iPad so Lego Batman 2 for the PlayStation 3 did not arrive after all. Instead Portal 2 was sent and it's took over my life this week, every other game as pretty much been shelved thanks to it. Yes I know I said I would work had this week on all my new games that I picked up but it's Portal 2, have you played it? then you would know why I'm addicted to it again. If you not played then you need to stop reading this post and go get it! go on shoo! go buy/rent and play it.

I was hoping to finish the story for Pokemon White this week so I was ready for the sequels on Friday, it could still be possible since I just arrived in Nimbasa City yesterday which is the fourth gym. Funny thing is I think this is where I got to in Pokemon Black then I stopped, think I got stuck with a Team Plasma battle since my party was not high enough level to take them on. Anyway so yeah it could be possible to finish if I put the hours in this week, but you all know what I'm like that probably will not happen.

I've also not played Warcraft or Borderlands 2 this week either, not since last Sunday session so I really could do with making some time for them both. I promised myself that I would get the news games completed when I buy them and not just shelve them. I've got pretty far with Borderlands 2 so I really do not want to forget the story and controls, which would mean having to start over again which I hate doing. Plus in Warcraft I just did my first couple of Dungeons and hit level 87, I was well on my way with the progress plus I just found out you can run your own farm so I was working on that.

Really could do with some more time and I've got Pokemon White 2 and Black 2 this week coming out as well, plus Dishonored which I'm still not one hundred percent sure on just yet. Think I will just have a small scream and bang my head against the wall, anyone got any spare time to sell to me? could do with Lot's.

Ok enough with the moaning and complaining, my goal this week is to try and clock Pokemon White, put some hours into Warcraft and Borderlands 2. On that note I'm going to go play some games, don't forget to drop a comment with what you guys are playing.

Keldeo and Genesect Events

Morning folks,
Thought it would be a good time to update the event posts since one of the Pokemon events is live and the second one was announced a few weeks back.

First up Keldeo is currently live at your local GAME and Gamestation stores, this event will run until 11th October 2012 (for other European countries check out serebii.net for information). It's a level 15 Pokemon and it's carrying the item PP Max, also it as several mini in game events.

In Black and White you can teach it the move Secret Sword by taking it to the Moors of Icirrus (must have Cobalion, Virizion and Terrakion in your party). By getting this move you can also activate Keldeo Resolute form when it's traded over to Black and White 2.

So make sure to pop in store to get this Pokemon, oh I almost forgot! you can get the Pokemon by going in store and activating Mystery gift on your game. It's downloaded through the wireless section but if it does not work check with a staff member that their cartridge is distributing because sometimes it can be forgotten to be turned on in the morning.

Genesect will not be a in store event like Keldeo since most of the rumours was pointing towards that, instead it will be just a normal Wi-fi event. So far only the dates have been confirmed and that's 12th October until 12th November 2012, this is for Black 2 and White 2 by the way and not the original games.

Pokemon Announcement

Afternoon all,
Well what did you think of the weekends announcement then? I was shocked to be honest. For those who have not been following, it was announced earlier on that last weekend would see a new Pokemon game. I really did think it would be the sixth generation and on the 3DS since the handheld could do with some good games this year. Instead it was announced to be the missing third game in the Black and White series, all past Pokemon games have a third game that comes out several months to a year after. Usually it combines the two together with most of the Pokemon then add something extra to get people to buy it, either a new feature/story etc.

What makes this game shocking for me? well it's being split into two games and called Pokemon White 2 and Pokemon Black 2. I cannot get my head around how this will work since if it's still the fifth generation then that means pretty much no real new Pokemon and still using the Unova region. I always question myself when I buy the third game since its just the last two together but I always tell me self "this new feature looks awesome". This time around it's going to need to be something huge to justify splitting into two games, because right now alarm bells are ringing in my head screaming "someone is pulling a fast one".

Then again have to wait and see for more news since there is none right now, for all we know it could be the best games so far and put Pokemon on the top. So far all they showed was a picture of Kyurem in its new forms, Black Kyurem and White Kyurem. Oh and that the new games will be on the NDS since its the third game in the series, was really hoping for a true Pokemon game on the 3DS. Guess will have to wait another year then for that to happen.
