The Daily Grind - Day Twenty Four

Good morning one and all,
Ok just a warning I doubt I be gaming much today since I'm at work pretty much all day again, hoping will get some time tonight since the new patch is meant to be going live for Warcraft but we will see. So for the few minutes/hours I do have spare I'm just getting on with the huge to do list I made last night which includes plenty of things for the blog, especially since I've still not finished off the E3 updates and according to the timer on this site that ended around two week's ago, doh!!

So bare with me while I catch up with what I need to do and I will start updating, oh that reminds me just saw on one of the book blogs I follow that Bioshock is getting a book that tells the story of the fall of Rapture! that would be awesome and in fact I'm going to go look to see when it's out. Oh sweet the day after my birthday, 19th july :) good timing!

Right anyway so just going to check out the achievement guide for Thor, wondering if it's an easy game that I could use as a pick up to go along side Uncharted. Bit like Megamind but not as easy lol

Hmmm according to the guide it will take roughly two play throughs and very hard mode for one play through which is quite challenging. No level select either so if you miss something and unless you saved just before then have to replay again, dang!. Would like to clock this game but I'm not so sure this is a pick up game and might save for it after playing Uncharted.

I have been tempted to get Green Lantern lately since I been loving the super heroes game, and one of my friends at work picked it up the other night and clocked it. From the looks its a decent 1,000 gamer score game and enjoyable to play, but deep down I know I should just rent it. Can't wait to see the film on Thursday though!

Ah feck, just remembered 3DS!! cannot believe I did it again. That's it I need to put that on my to do list from now on, check when I get back in. Right first the Pokedex update and let's see what I've picked up this time, the winner is Zebstrika which looks pretty cool to be honest. Time to check the street pass now, only two hits this time. Come on puzzle swap! just once piece this time. Going to finish up with the quest game and then get on with the list of jobs.

Just finished off the Armoured Demon and cleared that room so now heading up to the top floor to take on the sub boss. Took him down to 60% health so hopefully get a few more hits today which will allow me to finish him off.

Argh my friend just text me to say that the Green Lantern game is like Spiderman Friend or Foe which I really enjoyed, so want it now lol

Well I was weak...bought Green Lantern, my mate traded in his copy and picked up Thor so had that as pre-owned. If I can clock it quickly and the trade in price will pretty much give me my money back, but don't want to rush it since I want to enjoy the game. Also while at work I found out that Professor Layton and the Lost Future had a price drop on the pre-owned! so with my discount got it for £15 which is a bargain. So got that too now and will be playing that soon since I love the series. So anywa yes been spending my money again when I should be saving *sigh* what's worse I saw a ton of games I want too, must hold off and be good.

Right time for some Warcraft, cannot wait to see the Firelands stuff. Ok that strange, its not downloading the patch???

Feck I messed up, the patch is next Tuesday not today. Although did just find out the Midsummer Festival as gone live today, it's 12am so might had missed today's chance for the boss, still going to go do it though. For those that don't know you can join a group each day during the event to take on a Ice Lord boss for a chance to get some rare loot, he drops a Epic cloak each time then you can also get a bag of goodies which has a chance to have a cool Epic staff and a slim chance of a rare pet. Of course the bag can only be got once a day, anyway I'm off to go kill him and take my chance.

I'm back and the boss was a breeze today, took him down on his first phase. The loot today was rubbish though, he dropped the healers cloak and my bag only had the box standard blossoms in. So no rare loot for me.

Well since that's over going to check the net for any updates then hitting the sack since it's late, ohhh Nintendo will be honoring the Zelda soundtrack!! finally about time they did the right thing. Meant to be getting a e-mail with instructions on how to claim one. Nothing yet in my mail box, will check again tomorrow but glad they finally seen sense.

Final news is that they released a picture of Robin for Batman Arkham city, looks cool I guess but not sure what to think about having him in the game.



Well that's it for today guys, sorry it's short but thanks to my long ass shift nothing could be done about it. I do have the morning off tomorrow so hopefully plenty of gaming then! so thanks for reading my madness and have a good one.

The Daily Grind - Day Twenty Three

Morning,
Quite tired this morning but I did stay up late last night playing Warcraft but glad got this morning off and not in until the evening/night shift tonight. So far this morning I just checked out game.net to see the coming soon list to see if anything as changed, I have do have a spreadsheet of all the games I want with costs/release dates etc lol easier to see what month will kill me which is currently September and November. Although October starting to fill up too now as well.

Ok just saw a news post on facebook from shopto.net, Halo Anniversary will have some Kinect support. How in the world will that work I wonder??

Anyway I'm going to do a level or two of Uncharted then I'm not sure what I will play or do next, have to wait and see.

Dang the shotgun is powerful, just sent a guy flying with a shot! Although the one thing that does annoy about Uncharted is that when you shoot someone you can see all the bullets hit into their chest or neck and they still live.

Currently in the fortress trying to solve the puzzle of the tower and the keys crossing symbol, have no clue lol ok If I'm guessing then it as to do with the ruin columns outside.

Ok just broke half dozen so I'm guessing on the right track, ah there we go making it up the tower now after navigation several walls. Hmm set a keys where at the top so guessing that leads into the room with the keys symbol, well that wasn't too hard. Although how do I get back down lmao... oh wait a rope, how convenient!

Now in another courtyard and no doubt about to get ambush but in the distance I can see the tell tale sign of treasure! feck! mounted gun, I was right and wish I wasn't lol.

Come on stop throwing bombs, that's cheating! Got to wonder who are these guys, do they work for those debt collectors or just run of the mill bad guys who live here. Would be nice if they explained it in the story

Ok just stood back and kept picking off the guards one by one then ran out of bullets, luckily there was a stash of weapons behind me. Once I finished them ran into the courtyard taking cover while the mounted gun fired at me, lady luck was on my side since I found a grenade launcher and took out that gun in no time with it.

Right that treasure I mentioned was a Spanish Silver Coin and now brings me up to four collected so far.

Well that was fun, after that battle had a small fight in a corridor at the top then got to use the mounted gun on everyone who turned up below, did not stand a chance!

Ok found another clue in the story, message left by drake on the wall with a cool looking map. How in the world did he survive two shots in the face with a shotgun! argh!

Just navigation several walls trying to get to the main tower and love the fact he only thinks of Elena now and again lol. Made it to the main room in the giant tower and man the view is awesome!

Argh she died, it went to cut scene then they shot at her and I had several seconds to protect her which of course at the time my controller was on my lap since I was watching the cut scene, won't do that again.

Ok now we getting somewhere, seems an old "friend" of Nate's who is a gold hunter is the one in charge of the army that I been killing. Now in the middle of a daring escape using a jeep, a sweet mounted gun! this will be fun

Dang keep dying, the gun is ok for damage but takes too long so it all relies on the grenade launcher which takes time to reload. Got to say love taking out the quad bikes with it

lmao quad bike just drove right into the truck, cheers for the help! another guy just drove into a tree as well.

THAT WAS AWESOME, head on chicken with a truck and at the last minute grenade to blow it up which sent it flying over are heads. This game is making itself into my top 20 favourite right now, nothing like a high speed chase along the cliff side.

Well now starting Level 8 after driving off the bridge, very interested in the story now since this hunter mentioned working with others? wonder if that's the debt collectors group. Going to save up for now.

Hmm this morning it was reported that Japan was getting a new PlayStation 3 slim, still 320gb but the consumes less power. Anyway it looks like now its being reported it can run PlayStation 2 games as well, pretty awesome that Sony finally allowing it to happen again, although I been able to since I've got a 60gb.

Dang just reading a report that Battlefield 3 will be only 30fps at 720p....I know consoles cannot compete with modern computers, but come on ! even Call of Duty runs at 60fps and they said the new one will too. I know I been hearing bad reports of the demos of the console versions look nothing like what was shown on PC but this is just ridicules.

Right I'm going to load up Little Big Planet since my friends keep telling me they found tons of levels to get a load of trophies on, so going to take a quick look and see if I can't grab a few trophies for a few minutes of work.

Updating how I hate you, seriously cannot understand why it takes so fecking long for the PlayStation to update yet on a Xbox it takes seconds. Good thing I'm not short on time otherwise I would be getting a gaming session with how long it's taking.


Wow just saw the Japanese special edition PS3 for Tales of Xillia, its a beauty! if they release that over here I would gladly upgrade to it!

Anyway just had to play a few story levels to unlock the multi player so now searching the community, ok here we go, 21 trophies??? lol ok lets see if its true. Well the first two trophies it offered I've already got but so far its a cool level.

Ok first trophy, kill 100 craniums?? that was it, the others did not get?? oh well try another level and this will be it for this game run. Meh nothing again guess I got the trophies already, right can't be bothered to do any more on it.

Think I might continue Dawn of War 2 Retribution now, I'm playing through the campaign as all the races and if I can remember right I'm on my fourth race (six total). Story is pretty much the same and the levels just a slight change here or there with a different ending cutscene.

Did one more level and quit, think I need to set up my laptop so I can blog while I'm playing this game. But did find something exciting when I went to play, Steam had a news post that Dawn of War 3 is in development and will be MMO-like! cannot wait to see some screenshots or news about that!

Just been doing some odd jobs and came back to update the Pokedex on the 3DS, no power...could had sworn I put it on charge yesterday. So charging now but got like an hour before I will be leaving for work and was hoping to get some street pass hits today, hopefully be enough charge to last the evening. Anyway going to try out a few of my iPad trial games I've downloaded to see what they are like.

Pyramid HD is a pretty nifty game, just a simple city building game. I'm big fan of those types games so no doubt it will keep me busy for a while lol. Anyway going to go get myself ready then hopefully will have time left to do some gaming or something at least.

Dang the time gone by too fast so not really got time to play anything, when I get back I'm tempted to sit down and watch my film that I rented, Jonah Hex so gaming probably wont be happening. Anyway I better go before I'm late so take care all!

Ok small update and its quite late, just ordered myself some tickets for Gamefest! its the first Game Convention held by GAME and is taking place at the NEC in Birmingham. Tickets will be up for sale soon (Staff allowed early access), find the site here www.game.co.uk/gamefest but won't work yet for the public. Think its a great idea anyway and so far Activision, EA, Nintendo and Disney have signed up to be there! so maybe get to play Battlefield 2, Call of Duty and what would be cool Wii U but kinda doubt that.

Also at work picked up some new games, Uncharted 2 (ready for when I finish the first one) and re picked up Civilisation Revolution. Been wishing I never had traded it in to be honest so glad I found a copy finally, great stragey game to keep you busy. Oh and I also picked up a WOW time card, the new patch is tomorrow and since started a new character with my mate kinda want to play it more now.

The Daily Grind - Day Twenty Two

Good morning one and all,
Been back for a few hours and just been tiding up along with doing some unpacking, hope you been having a great weekend and got plenty of gaming done. Right before I start my marathon today I need to check my 3DS, once again I forgot about it last night and let the battery run dry. Seriously need to get into the habit of checking it after work, give me two seconds while I plug it in then will update with yesterdays stats.

WOW! eight hits on the street pass, come on puzzle pieces ... so got four pieces this time around which is awesome but to make it even better got the final Pikmin piece so that panel is now finished. So all thats left to do now is the Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Mario & Bowser panels, shame Nintendo don't release any new panels to continue when you finish. Anyway time to do some street quest, feck! forgot I'm in the dark room so lost two heroes. Fecking hate that room! but least I had a white shirt mii light it up. Took out one armoured demon and nearly finished off the second one, no rooms cleared though but to be honest not far from finished the play through. Right just need to update the Pokedex then on to Uncharted! oh got a Basculin Pokemon which looks a lot like a piranha.

So time for some Uncharted!

Escaped the submarine to be met by Sullys debt collectors, nice gentlemen! Story starting to get real interesting now. Well I'm not currently fighting my way through the tomb ruin again and got to say I'm really impressed with the combat system, very easy and simple controls. Feck my first death lol really should take cover more

Kinda knew that reporter would be back later, guessing his love interest?

Feck, just saw something sparkling in the cover went to look and then got ambushed and grenade nearly killed me. Ohhh the sparkling was a treasure, a decorated gold ring! nice...not really going out my way to get the collectibles. Just enjoying the game and can do a second play through with a guide for that.

Lmao love it, jump out a burning plane and parachute as an hole in it. Of course also left the map on the plane.

Just took look around where I landed (by some weird angel statue) and found another treasure, Silver Inca Figurine this time. Locked gate so shot the lock and kicked the gate in, love the fact the gate doors fall off yet when the lock was on it did not budge.

Found another treasure, this time a silver fish charm which was hidden behind a tree not far from the gate. Love looking for treasure and collectible stuff in games, one of my favourite games is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix since you spend pretty much the entire game in Hogwarts collecting lots of stuff.

Using the sixaxis to balance is slight annoying

Died again since ran out of bullets, there is a small bloody army in this small clearing lol

Right started again and hiding behind a pillar with only 12 bullets, but did just get my trophy for 30 head shots. Trying to make every bullet count

Just fighting my way through the ruins and really must have taken out the entire population of the island so far, will admit I'm impressed with the A.I. They don't stay stay still, always on the move and dodging, will always try to flank you as well. I want to complain but I'm happy I'm finally taking on a challenge, one of my tactics is to move back through the way I came which is usually a door or a small path so it forces them to come one and stops flanking been done on me. Course have to be on guard for grenades and surprise attacks while reloading.

Anyway going to take five while I get myself a cup of tea

Back and ready for more action, hmmm ok got a huge waterfall and got to make my way across some how, so far died once. Think these ledges to the side might be the key, well I hope anyway

I was right but got shot and killed while jumping, no cover and they kept dodging so think next time I need to keep moving and hope to find some cover. Did get the 50 kills with the pistol trophy though for my troubles.

Feck, killed them this time but a broken ledge dropped me this time. Hmm now a cinematic cut scene as the floor gave way, I jump to the safe area but Nathan just rolls forward right over the side...wtf...lol

Ok second time was better but now getting shot at while I'm climbing, lol just blew up their car since they decided to leave a gun powder barrel on the back and its now acting as a bridge for me to move along on.

oh for feck sake, died again, got to say when it comes to jumping the controls can be naff, same curse as Tomb Raider.

Found the plane well, whats left of it anyway but did get the map back and can see some kind of ruin fortress in the distance with the remains of the parachute of Elena had.

wave four - two guys
wave five - two guys
hooray finished oh wait behind me two more guys.

Well just finished off the last wave and found a lovely spike trap as come around the corner, poor bad guy ran right into it. Ok just made it across some cliff and started taking out some bad guys silently only to get spiked trapped lol, had no idea so attempt two!

Just took out another huge army and now on level 5 the fortress which I'm not currently climbing up, overall I'm really enjoying the game but can clearly see this is one huge game.

Ok two things, one finally got the hang of the sixaxis controls for aiming the grenades and two, love the UZI!! great weapon.

Found Elna snooping in the ruins video recording, reporters *Sigh* but having lots of fun taking shots at the courtyard, although they got a mounted gun aimed at me.

Dang, just started to go inside and there is another mounted gun protecting the passage. LOL Nice!!! just ran down the passage moving from cover to cover, the gun was just above on the next level so tossed a grenade up and blows up the entire thing and collapses the balcony.

Right just jumped down into a flooded hall and now being attacked from all sides but good news though, AK47 - 50 kills trophy so awesome. Think I will keep swapping weapons since I'm assuming there is a 50 kill trophy for each? in fact might just check first before I continue

Yup according to the trophy sites there are ton of trophies for getting x kills with each weapon, might just stick to the UZI for the time being and look out for any new weapons.

Just synced my trophies so facebook is being updated and noticed I'm now on 77% towards level 12, never thought I would hit that goal. I only set two levels since I never use my PS3 and really did not think I would work my way through the challenges since the last two years I've failed them. Proud of myself for getting this far and completing so many games as well, hope this keeps up and I would love to get rid of huge chunk of my back cat games of I've got piled up.

Going to stop for now and take a break, got a few things I would like to do (non gaming) and since got plans for online later I think I need to get on with it now while I got chance.

Ok did not tidy up instead my sister's boyfriend played some co-op Portal 2 with me which was awesome! we did about 10ish chambers and got to say it was awesome but from the looks could do with two controllers if I wanted too. Just need to get my mate from work to come online finally and would be awesome! right anyway now going to do some tiding.

Just realised I've got post from yesterday and lovefilm as sent me two game discs since I had a free disc code, got Megamind on the Xbox 360 and Thor on Xbox as well. I hear Megamind is a very easy quick 1,000 points and Thor been wanting to play it so cannot wait to get stuck in.

Loading up Dragon Age Legends since just found a newsletter e-mail with another code for a free item "Evra's Horn" which can be used to call an hero into action again getting rid of the timer, awesome

It's playing a lot smoother so guessing there must have been a patch in the last few weeks, and it's a lot faster too for animations and turns.

Did a couple of battles and got to level 13 along with spending several thousand gold coins on upgrading my keep, moved the rooms around too so the bonuses worked better. Anyway think I'm going to jump back into Portal 2 and do some of the co-op stuff using a second controller, really enjoyed playing it earlier and want to do some more challenges.

Only did about one or two rooms and clocked a few achievements, it really is easier with a second person playing. I'm now currently torn with what to play to be honest, not sure what time my mate is coming on but guessing later. Hmmm just read up on Megamind and its quoted to take between three and six hours so might start it and have it as a side project.

Well its boring...very boring lol x is shoot and a for jumping thats it really, nothing special and the story is horrible. then again I was not that big fan of the movie, just sticking with it for the nice 1,000 boost in gamerscore. Took about 20 minutes to finish the first level and unlocked several achievements already, in fact two seconds while I get the stats. 150 gamerpoints with four achievements, not bad lol

Second level down and another two achievements worth 55g, now level three finished and defeated the boss without dying so another two achievements with 90g. Dang this is really easy all you do is run through the levels shooting the bad guys, jump over gaps and put batteries into doors that's it! Just checked my achievements and I'm now on 400g already...

Just completed level six of ten lol and that was the second boss battle, once again another achievement for not dying while defeating the boss. They are simple to take out and if you are worried you can let yourself die before the fight, you will respawn and get 100% health before the fight. This fight was simple, defeat minions and avoid steam coming from the floor. Press a button to cause steam on the boss, could not be more easy ... well actually it points to the button you got to press! so yeah really easy. So now standing on 600g and counting, time for a mini break and cuppa of tea.

Right I'm back with my cup of tea and ready to get back into it, dang! Stallion83 who is the worlds no.1 for gamerscore (legit) just posted up on twitter that he is 13k off from 600k!!! blimey and hes going for it in 18 days ... talk about a challenge!

Well just finished another two levels so that leaves me with two left, next one is the boss of this section then the final boss for the last level. With those two levels finished I should clock the game to 100% and get 1,000 gamerscore, been ages since I had a super easy game like this lol.

Well that was the boss defeated for that section without taking damage again so all that is left now is the final boss level of the game and then I'm done!

Done, according to raptr it was just over two hours to get the full 1,000 gamerscore. Dang that was quick, might put the PlayStation version on my rental list for a quick platinum trophy. So going to go update my stats since I think that is it for the Xbox 360 tonight.

That was no.29 completion this year WOOT! and thanks to the gamerscore I need another 23k now to hit the 140k mark, of course since I was updating I added my two new games that I bought on the weekend (Dungeon Siege and Zelda) so my 2011 new releases complete percent as dropped down to 25%. Could do with working on one of those new releases really, ah! my mate is online and ready for Warcraft.

Just spent a couple of hours playing and my god it was fun, tried out the Goblin zone for the first time and got to say so far its my favourite starting zone. We both went as Shaman, I'm going to be ranged damage (elemental?) and my mate is going resto. As he said with him as healer we should get into dungeon groups a lot quicker, anyway we both got up to level 7 before we called it a night. It was so much fun, volcanos exploding, hot rod racing, breaking into a bank, escaped inslavement and blew up monkeys with explosive filled bannanas. Being a goblin is never boring lmao, next time I will take more notes and some pics to update here better.

So going to call it a night now, it's been one awesome day off and got plenty of gaming in as you can tell. Thanks for reading my madness and hope you have a good one!

The Daily Grind - Day Twenty One Part Two

Hello again all,
Well hearing reports that the soundtrack was limited so just great, thanks for heads up nintendo! Great job once again.

So I'm currently playing Zelda and I'm already stuck lol no idea really what I'm meant to be doing, I've explored the village and cannot go see the deku tree until I got a sword and shield. So popped over to the shop and they want 40 ruppe for the shield so now I'm currently breaking rocks and exploring looking for more rupee. No idea where to find the sword though, hang on the map of the village as a south section of corridor looking lands I've no seen yet.

Ah it's part of the training area I did not look at, a small hole in the wall. Well might as well go take a look. Lmao just got ran over by the boulder but did get the sword out of a chest at the end! Just going to go buy the shield now and head off to the deku.

Just had to stop playing when got into the deku tree since ran out of time and need some lunch.

Just had a session of angry birds with Lynn and she's beaten one of my scores so now sitting at work waiting for my shift to start and trying to beat her score lol

Zelda was good but I need more time in it to learn the ropes and get into it, right going to write later since playing angry birds and work will start soon.

Back from work and Lynn wanted to play some more angry birds, so was showing her what each bird does and ways to aim better. Of course thanks to that she now owns another four high scores meaning she has five of the ten high scores. Dang it! Proud of her, proud of my teaching skills too but now my gaming completive side is taking over lol

Anyway while I was at work was speaking one of my mates about Warcraft and we going to do a gaming session tomorrow, starting new characters Which should be fun. Hoping this will be a regular thing but have to see how it goes, will blog about are journey tomorrow. In the day though planning to have a huge uncharted marathon so my day is all sorted.

Before I forget I will be editing these posts when I get home, if you see any weird words I'm sorry but the auto correction software on the iPad keeps changing things when I'm typing and don't notice. Also blogspot does not like the iPad one bit, anyway going for a bit since about to have tea.

The Daily Grind - Day Twenty One Part One

Morning one and all,
First grind post using the iPad so this should be interesting. Well last night I caved and bought Dungeon Siege 3 limited edition and Zelda for the 3Ds, also got a free mini comic for Dungeon and a gold case with a poster for Zelda. Really looking forward to playing them so might try out Zelda in a bit since got my 3DS with me this weekend, actually that's a point I've not checked the street pass again!

Right first thing first, going to register my Zelda so I can get the soundtrack so I will be right back.

Really annoyed right now since cannot get the sound track, keep getting "try again later error" of course if you close the page you cannot go back. A lot of people are having the same problem and some saying it was limited but no where says that and since you got to the 30th I don't think it is. Just means I got to leave the iPad on all day so it doesn't shut the web page down, just great.

Well sense that is messed up going to check my street pass, nice four hits yesterday. Fingers crossed for some puzzle pieces finally ... Wow actually got two new pieces this time and according to the stats just 20 left until I'm finished. I've never bought a piece with my coins so quite proud of myself. Anyway time for street quest and the outcome is ... One blood ghost defeated, two armoured demons defeated and one armoured ghost along with three rooms cleared. Good run today but now stuck on the dark room, luckily the work avatar is a White shirt so need make sure to get a street pass hit from it today.

So now that's done going to try again with the soundtrack then play Zelda!

Going to end this post and make it in parts since I'm using emails to update the blog not sure if there is a length limit. By the way tomorrow when I'm back home I will take a picture of the posters I picked up and the goodies. Anyway see you in a bit for part two

No post yesterday since I did no gaming really, just work and a tv marathon on the night. So how's everyone? hope you all ok and having a good timing gaming. Another big launch today with Zelda coming to the 3DS and also got Alice along with Dungeon Seige 3 hitting the other consoles. I am tempted to buy Zelda and Dungeon Seige, well to be honest I can name half dozen games I actually want but I'm trying to be good. In fact really I shouldn't buy those two since I got enough to get through and I can always pick them up later, but I'm cursed with that buying bug and want them! argh! decisions decisions.

Anyway about to check out my 3DS since I did take it to work with me yesterday and completely forgot to check it again, no doubt the battery is dead. Yup its dead, hang on going to plug it in then check what street pass I had yesterday. Right I only had two hits which sucks but better then none I guess. No puzzles pieces again which sucks big time and only did damage to one ghost so nothing cleared or defeated. Going to load up the Pokedex and see what new pokemon I got, hmm got a Litwick...I really need to play Black and White, its a candle lol not seen all the Pokemon yet.

3DS as an update waiting so going to sort that then leave it to charge ready for later and the weekend, maybe not needs more power to update. Going to leave that running for a bit then and get on with some of the announcements.

Last night Blizzard posted up the new trailer for the next patch 4.2 Rage of the Firelands, looks pretty cool and the patch is going Live 28th June which is when my time card runs out. I've used zero of this time card so up until then I'm going to attempt to play some WOW and if I don't give it the time then I'm no renewing, simple enough right? wasting too much money on time cards I'm not using. Ohhh my friend Lesley pointed out to me that Family Guy are going to do an online game and preparing a Beta for it, signed myself up for that! should be a laugh. If you interested pop over to CVG website post on the matter.

Also just found out if you register your Zelda today with the Nintendo website you get the soundtrack for free as a bonus. Seriously stop trying to tempt me! although I am shamed to admit I've never played a Zelda other then Twilight Princess and that was for one hour. Think that's why I want to pick it up, to give the series a good go and of course another 3DS game finally (got Samurai Warriors but not played it yet).

Dang! shopto just put up their review of White Knight Chronicles 2 and the screen shots look amazing! seriously want this and Origins for PSP. Why do they have to bring out so many games :(

3Ds just finished updating so leaving on that charge, going to head for a second to sort a few things then I will be right back to moan and complain some more, maybe even play a game! shocking I know!

I'm back again and pretty much need a lot more time, seriously got too much to do! *sigh* anyway tomorrow going to be my first weekend using the iPad for updates etc so should be interesting to see how that turns out.

Anyway I'm currently browsing the latest deals on twitter to see what bargains are out there and there are quite few! So just ordered from Zavvi the family game night 3 on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, :) achievements and trophies. Yes I'm that addicted but to be honest, the time it will take would probably cost me more if I rented it. Next up is Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands over on game.net for £7 brand new, tempting and after watching the review video below from gamespot.com going to order it to give it a shot.



Right so now got an hour before I need to leave for work so going to play some Uncharted for a bit, will be ending the post early due to the fact going to work then won't get home late.

The Daily Grind - Day Nineteen

Morning all,
Got to say wow! cannot believe I'm doing the 19th post for this, don't usually stick with things normally. So going to be spending the morning finishing off the collectibles for Batman AA so I can post it back to Lovefilm this evening when I go to work. Also need to update the challenge stats as well to include this game. So not going to waste any time and jump straight in, not going to go into detail today about the collecting since I found reading that bit yesterday a little boring but will be ranting when I cannot find a Joker Teeth again lol

PlayStation just booting up, tell you guy's one thing I've had a huge temptation while at work to buy some of the super hero movie tie in games. I know they usually terrible but some reason I really want to play Green Lantern and Thor, thing is I need to save my money for the end year and from the looks of releases there is nothing now until August so plenty of time to save. Well there is Dungeon Seige and Zelda this week, going to hold off on Zelda and very tempted to get Dungeon Seige since I've heard the limited edition with the extra items is the same price as the normal edition. Need to behave! anyway time for some Batman.

Feck got it wrong yesterday by the way, I did find the teeth in Medical instead found the West area ones. Anyway I've just started off well with finishing off the North Area so I'm only left with Medical (teeth), Caves (Chronicle and Trophies) and thats it! Think I will go to the medical since that will be hardest to find.

Found the bloody thing, read up on a guide and it mentioned there was some on the cat walks in the toxin room when you saw cash. I could not remember it very well so thought that would be the best area to look and I was right, one was sitting on top of the office out of view. Nearly missed it as I was about to leave. So going to head to the caves now and finish up, will do a few challenges as well then call it.

And that's it I've found all the stuff and Riddler is now been captured again, just realised I got to go solve the Chronicles of Arkham which is pretty easy so will only take me a minute or two to go there.

Sorted, ok going to go get a drink then will do a few of the challenges to earn a few more trophies before I send this game back. Really enjoyed it and I swear this game gets better every time I play it, cannot wait for Arkham City now.

I'm back, so going to attempt a fighting challenge first where you take no damage. So going to spend the fight just countering, wish me luck.

Dang failed on the second wave, forget this I'm going to do the challenges I love, the silent knight! Going to do the all silent take downs in one challenge first before I try doing all the goals set. hmm did not get it? wonder if it was because they saw me, *Sigh* not having much luck just going to work on the goals and call it.

That's it then did three challenges and got the Predator Bronze, going to stop there now and send this back later. So time to update the challenge stats to include batman so be right back.

Well according to my stat that was the 28th game I've finished this year, very please with myself and I would like to think I would least complete 50 games this year. That would be amazing for me and quite possible with the rate I'm going at.

Anyway just watched the Dungeon Seige 3 trailer and it looks good, to be honest I really do want to buy it but I think I'm going to hang off. I can see it dropping in price in a few weeks, same for White Knight Chronicles 2 and Origins. Really want them but I just won't play them yet and no doubt a price drop later on. Here is the trailer for Dungeon Seige anyway...

So going to go start Uncharted, keep putting it off and not sure why I do that. But I'm determined to give it a good shot and if I do like it, going to finish it!

Just an heads up but I will be talking about playing Uncharted so spoilers!!!!

So on a boat with pirates, a empty coffin and a mysterious old book. Sounds like an awesome adventure is about to begin and so far it's not bad, graphics are nice but the controls are slightly weird but I can live with them.

Poor media girl oh well, so looking for El Dorado then :) should be good. The waterfall and river is pretty impressive. Really feel like Tomb Raider right now with the exploring old ruins.

The story so far is starting to get interesting with the fact that they going with a giant golden idol not a gold city. Done a few puzzles on the way through the rooms and I like the diary guide, gives you hints on what to do in each room. Got to say I'm liking the game and about to hunt down the tracks to see where the idol was dragged too.

Ohhhhhh giant waterfall with a U-Boat? ok the plot thickens. Going to save and quit for now since I need some dinner and a drink, could do with doing a few jobs as well before I start playing again.

Blimey it's late but I am determined to get this post up tonight but of course I've come home to plenty of new announcements. Cannot believe it's nearly midnight

So Batman Arkham City cover art as been posted up earlier and the PC version is showing Windows Live supported, so possibly another game that will stack! very happy if that is true and will gladly buy it on the PC as well. Also in the news department there is a Halo Stats app out now for the iPod and iPad which allows you to login and see your bungie stats for Halo Reach. Free of course and gives you a cool blue flame helmet for in game, might download that tomorrow.

Finally Ubisoft as announced a ton of special editions for Assassins Creed Revelation, check out Xbox360achievements.org for all the lists and photos. I really want the Animus edition since it looks amazing but cannot find anyone stocking it so far, everyone seems to be doing the 2nd big on so might put a order down for that for the time being then upgrade it once the Animus makes appearance.


Scratch that, adwil24 just made me aware that Ubisoft store is stocking the animus edition, guess its their exclusive and its just £10 more then the collectors. Pre-ordering now!
Never ordered from the Ubisoft site before so hopefully be ok, can always cancel if I have doubts anyway. Did notice they selling the Assassin Creed 2 hoodie that I saw a Ubi rep wearing the once, might have to order myself one of those when it's pay day!

Right going to check my 3DS stats and then call it a night, so lets see how many hits I had today. Three hits so not bad but seems someone turned off the store DS, dang! have to remember to turn it on tomorrow. So fingers crossed for some new puzzle pieces, wow all three had stuff I need! thats awesome. Just finished street quest for the night and only finished off the one room with just one blue ghost defeated. Least I'm in the tower now so not long now, so anyway time to shoot off. The Daily Grind - Day Eighteen

Afternoon all,
As you can tell from the earlier posts today I've spent the morning on the iPad seeing what I can and can't do. I will be able to blog but nothing massive with tons of images or videos until I can find an app to help me. But least I still be able to post though!

So anyway I'm taking a chill out afternoon and going to try and finish Batman AA off, logged back into the gardens and got the lovely task of rescuing the hostages without being seen which will then lead to the Titan Facility.

Well that was a lot easier, I guess you get use to it after five play throughs anyway on wards to the Titan facility.

Just took out the two titans and the facility, cannot remember now what happens next. I know I visit ivy then go after croc which will have scarecrow then croc. Then that will lead back to Ivy and finally the Joker. But I do remember a water facility having to be done as well which I think is after croc not sure. Oh another upgrade again so going with the special combo throw this time

Ah so now looking for Ivy to talk to her! and with that also got myself the Line Launcher gadget. Looking forward to seeing what new gadgets you get in Arkham City.

Ok spoke to Ivy now going after Croc but Just did a huge fight and man did I suck in it, kept getting hit usually not this bad. Must pay attention more and use counter more often.

Just got to the main room to leave the gardens and a ton of thugs come in, so thought I would do a inverted take down. Of course they spotted me and now down to 25% health dang! been playing really terrible today

Ah for feck sake, three explosives on the floor did not take down the thug only just knocked him down for a few seconds. Finally! got two, inverted take down on one then used a sonic batarang to explode the collar on another who came running to check. So just one left and just waiting to glide tackle him now

Just got into the mansion to find Cash to get the info on croc but on the way out ran into a group of thugs, dang was I close... got a combo of 16...so close to 20. Think I will hit that when I do the fight at the elevators with the titans.

Anyway on my way to Intensive Treatment and I think that was the first time I've took the sniper out on the top without taking damage. Hate the bugger with a passion

Ah forgot about this room, bombs set on the gargoyles, so jumped down and took out one with a sneak take down. Then I quickly got onto the roof again and use the sonic batarang to take out another who came to investigate. The rest of them not so sure what to do, since I've broken most of the glass roofs when I was in here the last time

Got to love Joker while you fighting these rooms, really motivates the team by scaring them of Batman. lol

Well the room is cleared now thanks to several glides and silent take downs, now if I can remember right this is the final fight with Scarecrow now.

Never noticed that but when the cut scene comes up for Joker in the Bat car, you cannot skip it because it asks for you to press the J button lol.

Well that's scarecrow finished which as awarded me another upgrade so picking up the special combo take down and now going after Croc. Not long left now, Croc then Ivy and finally Joker.

Right here I go, sneak across the wooden platforms while a half man half croc tries to eat me, good plan!

Got to 50m towards the first plant spore and he jumped up, down you go again! and again lol

First spore sample collected and not going to bother to keep saying when he pops up since he just popped up another three times now. But did get the second spore so not long now

Bye croc! hope you enjoyed the fall! thanks for another update. So picking the special combo boost so get the combo at x5 not x8. Anyway time to go finish off the last two bosses, well first bat cave then bosses. Will also get the final gadget upgrade the ultra batclaw as well.

Just escaping the cave and heading back to the main island but got myself another trophy for doing the collections. Think everyone on facebook will be hating me by the end of this since I'm flooding my facebook with trophy unlocks.

Ok I'm on the part of shutting of the water so the titan fight will be soon, keep forgetting whats meant to happen next lol. Anyway just took out the west pump room and upgraded my explosives so that I can remote pick which one to blow up if I wanted to.

Just took out the east room, went straight in and took two out by hanging them up quickly. While everyone was busy going to see what happened, snuck into the vents and got under the control room and use the batclaw to break the floor dropping another two thugs. Snuck out and took down another then waited for his buddy to come over so I could use the sonic batarang to blow up his collar then the last guy was taken out with a glide while he was coming to see the carnage.

Love when a plan comes together, just going to setup three explosives by the door since I remember two more thugs come in after you turn off the controls.

LOL that was awesome, walked to the door so they charged me and one went flying from the explosive so took his buddy out then finished him before he could get back up. Time for the huge titan elevator fight now and hopefully my x20 combo.

Bombs set by the door, here we go!

Woot got the x20 and the rodeo trophy as well thanks to this one titan, lost a bit of health so hopefully can still make it through wave 2.

Sweet made it with 40% health left so not a bad fight after all, right time for Ivy !

Just upgraded the batarang to have the remote control and quickly did the catch trophy. Time for the boss fight! bring it on you overgrown weed.


Every time I play this game I find something new, early on I found a crazy thug on top of the statue attacking the head and now learnt you can keep throwing batarangs at the boss plant it will do damage not just when the pod opens to show Ivy. :)

Anyway just got myself one more upgrade so having the combo batarang to my melee fighting which is the last of the attacking upgrades. Joker left now and the end game collecting

Party just ahead and I'm hoping to get the x30 and x40, I've only ever got the x40 once! so maybe I be lucky again.

Just took out the two titans and the huge wave of thugs, so now time for the final fight with Joker.

Well just did it but dang that was hard, my fourth run through was the easiest I've ever done but this time I really struggled with that fight. Maybe because it's been so long or maybe I just suck lol

Anyway woot! finished the game just got to do the collectibles now so going to start with working on Arkham West first.

Just done all the trophies and riddles, doesn't take too long thanks to the map but just now looking for the missing joker teeth.

Hmm no luck so far, probably like one set somewhere that I missed, going to go sort the Penitentiary then come back to it. Actually did not take too long so back outside again and wondering where those joker teeth are, bloody laughing buggers.

Meh off to the Medical instead

Just finished the first floor and now doing the lower floor, just got the last upgrade as well. Feck not again, more missing teeth! think I need to find a guide because this is getting annoying.

Went outside and found the missing teeth in the medical but still no look with the west area so heading to the east side now which won't take too long hopefully.

Done and done, heading to the garden now, lol found a chronicle of Arkham I had missed and yet I had walked past it at least four times. Anyway did not take too long to find everything, think the problem is the teeth since they cannot be tracked on the map or by the ridder map. On my way to the mansion now but no riddler map yet so should be fun

One more for the count and now going to go complete the north area with the intensive treatment and batcave.

Just had my lovely tea (cooked the family Chicken Tikka Marsala) and going to spend a few minutes finishing off a few more areas before I call it a night.

Well finished off intensive treatment area and now stopping for today, before I call it a night there are two trailers I want to show you. First off in the day a game play trailer appeared for Hitman, right now it's a leak video which I'm usual unsure what to believe with these but if it is the actual game play dang! it looks amazing.

Final video as only just been posted up over on Xbox360achievements.org and its the launch trailer for the new Transformers game, Dark of the Moon. Unsure what to think to be honest, it looks good but in the past the movie tie in games are always terrible. War for Cybertron was pretty good until you attempted hard mode and did the last boss levels. Anyway see what you think by watching below

The Daily Grind - Day Sixteen

Afternoon,
Busy day so far and wish I had more time, how's things for you guys? hope you having a good weekend of gaming.

So what's my plans you wondering, well I've got blog updates, E3 updates, gaming and stuff to do in my room as well so when I say it's busy, it really is. Before I get on with anything I must update Dragaknight stats! the page is finally working today so I can see the posts again.

All done, blimey he is getting through that goal quite fast. Stands on 12 of the 40 which is 30%, might had not hit the 20 by June goals but the end of year will be easy.

Game last night started taking orders for the Mass Effect 3 collectors edition, ordered straight away lol but only just noticed now that they listing a bonus mission and character included. It just keeps getting better and better, seriously cannot wait for next year.

Since I'm on the topic of new games, there is a new trailer for Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines. Reveals Chaos! and my god the combat looks amazing in it!

Also this morning my mate Galerian on twitter made me aware of a game I'd missed while watching E3. Kingdom of Amular reminds me a lot of oblivion which is a good thing in my books, watch the trailer below to see what you think. I was sold in the first few minutes and then seeing the crafting system and those mage scythe weapons was just the icing on the cake.

Ok time for a breather from all these trailers, think I'm going to jump on the PlayStation 3 and start Batman first. Need to clock my rental and get it sent back before these weeks become months.

Well that was the shortest install or could be the fact I was flicking through several websites and not paying attention to the time. Hate the whole installing/updating taking ages on the PlayStation 3.

Time for my fifth play through, feels weird on the PlayStation controller though.

This is one of the best games ever made, it's just so easy to jump in and out. The game play can be both stealth and combat. It's just flawlessly made! Anyway the Joker as made his daring escape and I'm currently hunting him down, still quite earlier on in the game but already earned a few trophies.

Ah finally the first Titan, this is the start of the main game now :) ohh first upgrade too, has to be the inverted take down. One of my favourite all time moves in this game

Time to track down Bole and find Gordon

You know after all these fights with Batman you would think they would know dropping a evaluator on him won't work. Time for some climbing them! ah my first hidden message of "spirit of arkham".

Trying to get the x10 combo but they just won't get back up lol anyway got to love the bad guys in this game. "Batman won't stand a chance" and yet I'm already behind them taking them out one at a time silently, anyway about to do my first giant room where you got to take down all the guards. Love these areas

Soon as I got through the vent took my first guard down by sneaking behind him, quickly got on top of the outpost and jumped through the window in the roof to take down the second. Less than five minutes and already they down two :-D love this game!

Finally one down through the window in the roof again, ohh second wave :) bring it!

All done and my second upgrade and going to go with the armour upgrade, always need health when I get into brawl.

Oh dear Bole is down for the count lol like we did not see that coming, :) ah good old Ridder just made his first radio broadcast. Anyway I'm already collecting the riddler trophies, recordings and solving the riddles as I'm going through the game.

Finally made it outside and still on the hunt for the Commissioner Gordon, off to the car to get some explosive gel.

Hooray! combo x10 thanks to the guards outside the medical wing

Got my first trophy for collectibles, I'm on a roll today...and another upgrade, going to pick up the auto detection on the explosive gel. always good for a trap.

Finding this game a lot easier thanks to all the play through, keep taking down multiple guards at the same time using several traps all at once. Going to take a few minutes break

Back with a cuppa! cannot rescue doctors and stop super villains with out a cup of tea at hand.

Well I've saved the doctors and ambushed the patrol that came up from the lower floor, just picking up trophies and taking joker teeth before head down. Got another upgrade as well thanks to the fight, going to take the second armour upgrade since I know later the health will come in handy with the long titan fights.

Ah Scarecrow time! love these boss fights with him.

First run in with Scarecrow is over, time to continue the search.

Wow I'm father in then I thought, on the bit where you have to stealth your away through the room taking everyone out then take on Harley which leads into the boss fight with Bane. Time really does fly when you having fun.

Just unlocked the second collectors achievement while I was in the middle of taking down a guard, found a riddler trophy in the vent behind him.

Well that's Gordon free, Harley taken down and Bane defeated not bad if I don't say so myself. Right another upgrade for all that work which I'm going to pick up critical combo strikes. Time to head to the batcave, going to pick up as many collectibles as I can on the way so the clean up job later will be quicker.

All done with the Bat cave and now have the batclaw, right time to find the good old doctor Young. Making my way through the catacombs and thanks to solving some riddles I've picked up the third armour upgrade so my health should be sweet from now on.

Made it to the surface again but found some sniper towers, hate these things with a passion.

Got past them and several teams of thugs but caught by the second set of towers and lost of my health.

Inside the mansion now so time to find the good doctor, dang! just got a x15 combo was so close to the 20. Anyway just went into one of the side wings and found a ton of riddles etc so got another upgrade so I've got the last armour upgrade. Got to say I'm flying through the game today, might put Uncharted on hold till I finish this since I think I could get it done in a day or two.

Was a bit sloppy with that fight but had to chuckle at the end since the riddler said I was doing so well I could help look for his socks next time.

Made it to the archive wing and currently causing chaos by dropping from the gargolys and hanging up the thugs. Just setted up a few explosives on the walk ways, hopefully it will catch a few thugs for me since they don't want to split up.

Dang the double explosive didn't work!

Finally got them all by doing quite a few gliding take downs then retreating quickly, also picked up another collector trophy on the way. Thanks to that I'm now 50% towards level 12 which is one of my goals this year, very chuffed about that.

Second scarecrow fight time! even though I'm quite far in, I know I've still got a quite bit left to do. Going to stop in a bit once I've finished this boss fight to get on with some tasks I need to do.

All done and got an upgrade for my trouble so picked up the sonic batarang, good for tricking thugs to traps. Right that's it for now, time to get on with some tasks and while I'm at it get another drink. See you all soon

Well I'm back and to be honest really want to do a bit more of Batman, really getting into it.

So time to find the good old warden and Harley again

Found the warden and now have the Cryptographic Sequencer, what a mouth fall! anyway taking a small mini break to make some tea.

And I'm back, noodles for tea so now full and ready for some more gaming. Time to go find Harley and finish her off for good.

Just did the huge fight on top of the cells and sucked a little since lost a bit of health but did get enough exp to do another upgrade, so upgraded the power of the sequencer. Later on there are few control panels that take some time and can be a problem.

Phew, hate that timer with the gas bomb and having to deactivate three control panels and save two guards. Done now so back on the hunt!

Love this game but think the thing I do hate about it is that you spend way too much time in detective mode and don't really get to see the beautiful graphics of the game much. Don't get me wrong I love the idea of detective mode, it worked well just wish there was mode balance.

Just locked her up and really did enjoy that fight this time around, hate having to keep jumping from each platform before getting shocked while at the same time fighting tons of goons. Used explosive a lot though to thin them down. Anyway time to go find the titan facility

Ohhh another upgrade, blimey I'm leveling up quick today...hmm thinking the sonic batarang upgrade that makes collars explode. Could be useful in the room clear out missions.

Never noticed that before, just outside on my way to the gardens and noticed one of the crazy inmates sitting on top of the statue head of the warden.....lol batarang soon sorted that

Working my way through the gardens right now, done quite a few riddles a long the way. Had to laugh at the opening room, filled all the gargolys with hanging thugs. Anyway got another upgrade so increased the range of the sequencer.

So that is it for now, going to go watch a film that I've had on rental for two weeks lol.

Film was ok but not great, just came back on to post this up but before I opened the blog noticed a update on MMO champion. Seems a new loot staff for druids in the next patch turns cat form into a fire cat when in combat. Looks awesome!

The Daily Grind - Day Fifteen

Evening all,
Been a very very long day but I can now relax and chill since off tomorrow, woooooottt!! so to celebrate going to finish Resistance 2! bring it on!

Just watching the credits now, what a game! the ending was awesome and very happy I decided to give a good go. Best few hours well spent! looking forward to seeing Resistance 3 now

So better update my challenge stats, give me two seconds while I look up how many trophies I earned.

Right the winning numbers are: 1 gold, 1 silver and 12 bronze trophies which to be honest doesn't seem a lot. Shame but was still worth every minute though! So just going to add that to my 2011 progress and update all the lists to say I've finished this game. According to my list this was number 27 for completed games this year, very chuffed just wish the last few months had more completed games like the first couple.

Ok that's all the challenges updated, one of my goals this year is to finish fourteen old games and now on four down with ten to go. Getting there! and the summer classic challenge as started with 1 of the fourteen down.

Need to update Dragaknight stats but facebook won't load for me to see the stats, have to wait till later to do that. Anyway time to think about what to play next, thinking I might work on two games. Want Uncharted to be my next game since I want to see if this series is to my liking, really don't want to go and order Uncharted 3 collectors edition or Uncharted for Vita if I won't like the series. Now the second game is my rental Batman, I want to play Batman but wanted to wait until after Uncharted but since it costs me to rent I'm going to attempt to work on both.

Anyway that's later, right now going to take a breather!

The Daily Grind - Day Fourteen

Good morning one and all,
It's a beautiful day today and my hopes are high, why do you ask? well I'm hoping I be getting a call while at work to say my iPad 2 is ready to be picked up. Seriously cannot wait!

Anyway back to gaming, last night I did mess around with my 3DS and the streetpass again. Picked up four hits but still no more new puzzle peices yet, but did complete another three rooms on street quest with one ghost with a shield, one armoured ghost and two blue ghosts down for the count. Nothing for the Pokedex and from what I can gather you get three random Pokemon sent through the StreetPass Nintendo Wi-fi?? per day. Getting very confused with how this works but going to give it a another shot today


While I'm waiting for my lift to work been browsing the net, keep eyes open to see if any stores have picked up the collectors editions that where announced at E3. Also just checked out Bullestorm's achievement guide, very tempted to attempt a few of the achievements I'm missing.

Ah my lift is almost here, time to go so see you later and hopefully will be updating with my iPad...knowing my luck tuesday next week

Just about to check my 3DS, ohh four hits today with a puzzle piece this time, which as finished the Metroid Other M Panel. SWEEEEETTT now on four panels finished, Super Mario Bro's, Zelda and Kirby are the others. Time for street quest

Results are one blood ghost down and one room finished too, so not bad. Ok just closed down the street pass menu and my Pokedex icon as a blue light light up?? maybe I've got new content! woot I have new data waiting. Finally got a Mandibuzz lol what a horrible looking thing.

Well that's the 3DS updated, so I'm going to chill and play some Resistance. Really want to try and get that last level finished!

Ok so I've took over the mansion house again, this time I ran around the top floor while dodging hundreds of auger bullets. Of course soon as I finished clearing the enemy wave got the check point and something huge is now outside. Ok it's called a marauder according to the radio chatter, don't like the sound of that. DANG! the auger just picked it up through the wall, that's one huge beast! Ok new plan going to shoot rockets through the windows at it since there is no way am I going outside with that thing!

woot! four rockets and its down for the count, not as tough as I thought it would be. Onwards to go support the squads

Well that did not last long since just died, there are three titans attacking some houses where I need to be... make that a second death thanks to the floor vanishing underneath me

Third attempt was the charm and made it to the house full of rockets but died again, attempt two!

SWEET! one well placed rocket took out two of them and then finished the last one off with auger fire!

Ok that victory message was too soon, retreat!! just got on the river boat and was clearing the bottom floors, got to the top and found a titan??? thought I had killed it!

Never mind its a new one that as spawned to the side. Just taking pot shots at with a standard rifle lol this will take a while.

Well 180 bullets and its down for the count but now got the lovely job of escorting the bomb which as now turned out into an all out street war. Keep running out of ammo too quickly as well which really doesn't help, but got to say this game rules so far! so looking forward too Resistance 3 now.

Moving up now, I'm guessing I've got to be at least half way through now since we talking about setting up the bomb. WOW just looked up and there is one huge fleet of Chimera ships above and I think the flagship is right above me, if it's not then that's one big normal ship. No wonder we losing the war with that firepower coming after us.

Ok so task is to capture a shuttle for the bomb, of course working are way through a swamp...so no doubt those bugs, invisible things and grims will be meeting me soon. Ah a pipe to walk into..bets on bugs!

Guess what I was right! lol good thing I was ready with spike grenades ....big open ground when exiting the pipe now...got to be invisible chimera next.

yup died from one while reloading my gun, bad timing that!

Ok killed four of them this time around but could be more, standing in swamp water with three of my five man squad left. Quite nerve racking lol looking for moving water or sounds of stamping

ah feck! two more, scared the life out of me...another one lol going to have an heart attack at this rate.

Time to take out the outpost and there's one thing that annoys me, auger fire from the enemy is constant. Ever heard of thing call reload! Need to get me one of those rifles and get some revenge.

Break time me thinks, I need a cuppa and this small outpost is clear. Meeting up with the other squads now, so no doubt huge fight is going to happen next.

Back with a muller corner yogust, the food of gaming pro's lol anyway back to the gaming. So basically the squad as gone up a lift to find the shuttle which of course has lead to a ramp with several giant waves charging down at us, followed by two titans right after the wave.

Currently one is dead while the other as me trapped with no ammo, hoping my squad will finish him off ... dang spike grenade got me in the end.

Second attempt worked, all down and now fighting my way to the top. Just realised my time is short and got to go meet the girlfriend out of work soon. Time flies while having fun!

This is it, landing on the main ship with the bomb...its end game time!

Dang titan and auger rifle toops are nasty to fight against, just staying far back and snipering while my squad mate uses his mini gun to finish them off or to provide cover for me.

Control room now so hopefully finishing soo but think I'm going to run out of time. Might get my stuff ready now and then can game until I got to leave. Ok from this point I'm going to stop talking a step by step of the game, don't want to spoil any more of the game for you.

Finished the control room but got to stop to go catch my bus now, dang sooooo close! I know I will finish it in about 30 minutes ... back from work tomorrow afternoon so will clock it then. Anyway thanks for reading my madness

The Daily Grind - Day Thirteen Part Three

It's not over yet people :)

So before I continue with any more E3 stuff I'm going to do some more Resistance, with the knowledge I've got less than two levels to do I'm really excited to finish. So be warned there will be spoilers as I play

Dang, meeting up with my team but going through a room full of grim pods...wonder if these are non spawners just to make you tense.

Non spawners phew! was getting a bit nervous there...met up with the squad but got ambushed, really should move more

Dead again, with my squad now taking on tons of chimera but one snuck up behind me while I was snipering

Shield drone and no ammo, that's my luck alright .... actually luck as changed, my squad got the shield down and I find some sniper ammo.

Lol here we go, room opened and full of grim pods, don't think these ones will be non spawners this time. Nope! incoming!!! wow there are loads

Ok doors are closed and three times nearly died

All out war are broken out around the tower, must be getting close to the end but got lots of question still unanswered about the story.

Dang dead soon as I jump down into the war zone, run and cover

Ok got father but got ambushed from a wave that came from behind, ok this time I know what to do...oh feck!! forgot about the invisible ones, scared the hell out of me! titan!!! talk about throwing everything at me

Ok found a rocket and took him out while playing "RUN AWAY", now armed with rockets and the mini gun wraith! :) bring it on! oh wait another titan and swarm of bugs so now nearly empty of ammo.

whoa!! hawthorn is down! nooooo


dang full on headshot and dead again, but got to love auger for these missions. Shooting through walls helps a lot and come on! "lets split up"...famous last words.

Ok I have no idea how I got through that wave, two grim exploders blew up next to me! lol

....ah feck lost another team member to the boss......

Im guessing this is the last chapter now from the looks of it and got to say I'm glad I made time for this game, its awesome!. If you into shooters you really need to give this series a try.

Taking a break, just cleared the first house and it got attacked, auger fire sprayed the roof could not dodge. Now back to the start to take the house again...*sigh*

I'm back and got less than an hour before I need to leave, so going to take the time to talk about the other announcements that happened at E3. Going to start with one of my all time favourite games, Hitman!! last night the trailer went up for the next one Hitman Absolution and my god does it look awesome. Really hope all the moves shown in the trailer will be in game because that would be brilliant, check it out below!

Cannot wait to play this game, in fact I think I need to sit down and play Blood Money again. Have been hearing reports the A.I is really impressive in it as well, calling for help, flanking etc so really need to be on your toes this time around.

Professor Layton as a new trailer up, going to check it out now but basically the next game is for the normal DS, the next one after is for the 3DS. Forgot that Japan are a major ahead and we need to catch up. This time around its a prequel and the first in a trilogy to come out, this one will be the first case for Layton and Luke. Looks good anyway and still need to pick up Lost Future
