The Daily Grind - Day Twenty Five

Hello one and all,
Well I've had a busy morning of getting some reviews up finally, hopefully you like the new format on them. Not trying to be a professional reviewer just my thoughts on what I played. Anyway it's time to get some gaming on the go, got most of the afternoon before work so planning on doing a few levels here and there.

Going to start with good old Uncharted, been looking forward to continuing where I left off after that lovely cliff jump. Oh before I forget I did change the layout to the review page, instead of using tables just made a list since it worked out simplier and looked better.

----------------------------------------

Just loaded up the save and found myself under fire, the guys on the broken bridge above decided to try and take pot shots at me. Found a new pistol, think it was called a wesker?? powerful thing. Oh sweet, Jet ski! and armed with a grenade launcher! the guys who made this game sure know how to please a gamer.

Elena as a point, a colony just does not vanish without a trace from history without something bad going, I'm going with the cursed treasure line as well.

Ok one thing that does annoy is taking cover and getting out of cover takes too long and sluggish, can cost you your life way too many times.

Well after four attempts finally made past the first bridge area, just exploring the ruins and restocking the ammo. Ohh a treasure and that brings me up to no. 5 and a trophy. It's a silver frog this time. Found a way out finally and now on level 9 with the jet ski again.

Lol just got off the jet ski and you get ambushed by three guys straight away, so after two deaths prepared myself with a grenade launcher and took all three out with one blast earning a nice little trophy, score!

Fecking hate the part im on now, have to swim across but then stuck behind a wall with 10 guys and barely any ammo, usually get rushed and the cover shooting sucks when you being rushed but if I stand up I get mowed down.

Just got the 20 kills with the WES pistol trophy, guess counts all kills even when you die. Sorted this time, just before I got out the water stayed on the ledge and used that to take out two then quickly grabbed a uzi to finish off the rest and used the last of my grenades.

----------------------------------------

Made it into the tower and now making my way up to the top so I can use the cable to cross into the shipping building. Ok that was smart, had to move a chain so I can jump to it but the camera as moved so the chain is behind the camera so I cannot see it anymore... ok I see, what I should had done was make my way across the other side of the tower to get to the chain.

Just went down the zip line and let Elena in so off to go find the boat, now on level 10 and with a treasure right next to the door which is a jewelled golden brooch. Going to stop for now and take a break. Thanks to all those trophies I'm only 20% away from hitting Level 12 on my PlayStation profile and finishing the first goal for this year, very excited!

----------------------------------------

Just had a break and the post man as dropped off Prince of Persia Forgotten sands, nice bargain that. Also realised that once again I forgot my 3ds, *sigh* so hang on a second while I put it on charge and check what I got from yesterdays visit. Oh wow the battery is pretty much still full, yesterdays shift earned me 3 hits...all staff lol. Got two more puzzle pieces and now only one off from finish the Mario and Boswer panel! Time to finish off the sub boss now on Street Quest.
Woot Armoured Fiend is down! last boss fight next time, hopefully tonight will give me a lot more street hits.

Just quickly checking the Pokedex to see what I've unlocked this time, oh wow a Bouffalant which looks really cool. Really need to make some time for Pokemon Black finally, although I keep saying that every time I update the Pokedex.

So anyway I've got quite a few things I wanted to post today and to be honest I don't know where to start, guess I will start with my thoughts about new releases. As you know I keep buying new games and they just go straight on the pile, this is why I'm doing the summer challenge.

It's not just to finish the prequels ready for the sequels or to clock a few games on my pile of games. Starting August sees some huge titles being launched and I'm determined to play them on day one when I purchase them, I really look forward to these games and all I do is put them on a pile for several months or even years before they see the light of day.

So this time I want to pick them up, come home and just start playing straight away, have that wonder of the new game on launch being played. Being able to talk with everyone who's playing it and not have to play catch up later on. Easy said then than done since a lot of the games are coming out the same month or even day but I am determined to turn a new leaf this year, this will start with August for the release of Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines and Deus EX. After that I want to do the same for all new releases or purchases I make, so I really need to make sure I get some games clocked leading up to it while it's dead.

----------------------------------------

Anyway back to more fun things, just watched a few trailers of Bioshock Infinite and it's shaping up nicely. I know it's not really fully linked with Bioshock 1 and 2, but could do with finishing those two off as well. Check out below for two videos on skyline and factions...

Also on the subject of new games, Bejeweled 3 is coming to the arcade and PSN nearer christmas. Really love those addictive games!

So what to do now? think I'm going to jump onto Warcraft and see if I can do a run of Lord Ahune, not sure if my daily was taken last night since it was technically 12.30am meaning it was today when I did it last night. Guess there is only one way to find out

----------------------------------------

Just did another run of Lord Ahune but still nothing again, this time he dropped the tank cloak and then my bag dropped few more blossoms. Try again tomorrow, while I was waiting for the group did do a few archeology sites and finished one of the troll common items which leveled me up slightly.

----------------------------------------

Right I'm back and armed with a cup of tea, going to try out Green Lantern now but need to keep an eye on the time since of work and all that. Hmm think I will just play it on Emerald Knight difficulty since my mate said it wasn't that hard and there is an achievement for it so might as well get it done in one go.

Wow! love the attacks, power keeps changing on different hits so one minute its a sword, next an hammer then two huge fists which is pretty sweet to be honest.

Ok combat is great but could done with a better explanation just then, basically a teleporter generator appeared. It keeps teleporting in man hunters until you destroyed, what I didn't know was when the shield goes down you use the grab ability to pull the core out!

Right better stop and I know only had ten to fifteen minutes but need to make sure I'm all sorted for work and not late.

----------------------------------------

Well it's later then I hoped to be ok to be honest, currently 12am since I got back late and decided to have a nice tea while watching catch up episodes of Pokemon lol. So before I end this post I'm going to check my 3DS, that's right folks! I'm checking it on time finally! hell as frozen over and pigs do fly.3 hits this evening which makes sense since it was really quiet tonight in store, only one puzzle piece today as well. Hopefully do better with street quest...

Got the Ultimate Ghost down to 55% health so not bad at all, thinking two or three more days should have it done (long as I keep getting my regular mii's which are level 7). Anyway that's it for tonight, have a good one folks and will see you tomorrow evening (got work in morning then seeing Green Lantern at the cinema afterwards).
