Morning gamers,
So I did pick up Destiny in the end and I have to say no regrets with that decision what so ever. I will not say its amazing and game of the century but it is a really good game. Good solid eight out of ten in my books, what is letting it down is the story campaign which is boring. What makes up for it is the graphics and amazing game play with friends, this is where the game shines. Playing with your friends and the time will just fly by and next thing you know you have spent six hours in the game, forgot tea and got some amazing boss fight stories for your troubles.
I also did pick up Minecraft at the same time on both consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 which came out just a few days before Destiny. Love them to bits or though I am putting more time into the Xbox One version since I have a friends on there up for playing so we have a community world built.
So as you can tell I've got plenty to play with right now and let's not forgot I got Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition for the PlayStation 4 sitting next to my TV. I have decided that I need to use the next few weeks to try and clock a game. My next new release is not until October 3rd which of course is Middle Earth Shadows of Mordor. Really looking forward to getting my hands on that game and from the looks of things I will have the whole of October to play it since most of my new releases got pushed back to November.
My plans until this game comes out is to try and finish the story campaign for Diablo, of course also put some time into Destiny and Minecraft. I also have the Lego Movie game for the Xbox 360 on rental so I could do with working on that and clocking it so I can send it back. Think that's a good game plan to start with this week, it's been a long while since I've clocked a game so I better set off and get started.
Have a good one folks and I will catch up with you again in the week

Holiday Fun
Morning folks,
It's been a few days since I got back off my holiday and just settling back down again. I thought since I've got the day off today it would be good to get another blog post up before I started any gaming.
Awesome start to the day with the announcement of Minecraft for the Xbox One coming out this Friday! that woke up me quite quickly when I checked the news this morning in bed. No doubt in my mind that we will see the PlayStation 4 any day now along with the Vita version as well. Will have to dedicate some time this weekend into making some awesome worlds, really cannot wait to get back into it since I've been holding off building anything lately.
I know you can transfer the worlds over from the old consoles but I wanted a fresh slate and start a new. Good news though is any DLC packs bought will be transferable, picked up several packs early on the year when they was on sale so that's a bonus. Also the price is awesome since if you own it already you get a discount. This was posted up earlier on twitter...
"Minecraft: Xbox One Edition is £3.99 / €4.99 if you own the Xbox 360 Edition, and £15.99 / €19.99 if you don't. Out Friday!"
£3.99?! bargain! just hope the same happens with the PlayStation 4 version when they announce the date.
Anyway enough about Minecraft for now since I will no doubt be posting a ton this weekend about it. So let's talk about another upcoming game and thats Destiny which is out next week. I really do not know what to say about this game, it looks good and I did enjoy the Beta. Do I think the hype for it is bang on? no I don't, I really don't see this being the game of the century that everyone claims it is. Don't get me wrong it looks amazing and it probably will be good, but don't think its this ten out of ten.
I have it pre-ordered on the PlayStation 4 just a box standard edition but I'm really not sure if I will get it day one now. Thing is though if I do wait and then when I pick it up later it could be brilliant and I will have a long grind to catch up with my friends. Also to note I have no games other than Minecraft slated for this month and October is already falling a part with delays so I would have plenty of time to play it or to work on some old games.
Will have to think about it over the weekend, probably wise to check out what is coming out over the next few months so I can plan my spending. I know November is jam packed this year with lots of goodies.
Anyway on that note I'm going to shoot since I want to get some time on Diablo, have a good one folks

Last Week
Morning folks,
It’s been a while since I’ve really last posted on here but
the last few months have been chaos for me. It was coming to the point getting
spare time to write out a blog post was becoming impossible. It’s even made it
a struggle to get game time in the last few weeks as well.
Anyway good news I will try harder to at least get one post
done each week to keep you folks up to date, plus I really do enjoy talking
about games here.
So I’m not sure what to cover in this post or where to start
since there has been a ton of new announcements since the last time we spoke. In
the end I’ve decided to focus on what my thoughts have been this week
concerning my gaming life and go from there.
Of course this week is all about GAMESCON which has pretty
much all I’ve been talking about this week with the new announcements. Started
off with the Tomb Raider 2 announcement about it being exclusive to the Xbox
next holiday season. That really shocked me and I was floored by the news, of
course with the wording “holiday exclusive” it was crystal clear that it was a
timed exclusive but still shocking. Keep hearing Crystal Dynamics was scared of
Uncharted being released so it does make sense to target the Xbox market while
Uncharted comes out then do a second release later on for the PlayStation fans.
Also on that day another item was added to my buy list and
that was the amazing limited edition Xbox One console in Call of Duty Advanced
Warfare theme. I love the three colour scheme with the gold trim and to be
honest it doesn’t really look like a Call of Duty theme which is probably why I
like it so much. Plus the added bonus of a 1TB hard drive is a must since I
found out the day that my Xbox One hard drive is at 41% full. I’ve barely got
anything on it and with so many games coming out in the next few months I think
I will need the upgrade.
I’ve put the order down anyway and I can decide closer to
the date if I need to cancel but right now I want to upgrade. After Tomb Raider
and the Xbox One the last thing on my mind this week was the World of Warcraft
announcement. Think every fan has been awaiting for the announcement for the
release date and finally on Thursday we had it. 13th November we
will see the release of Warlords of Draenor along with the awesome looking
cinematic trailer for the expansion.
All through the video I was shouting “you cannot do that”,
so many questions to be answers and could we be seeing a full alternate
timeline to play around with. Blizzard could go full force with this and bring
the Burning Legion into it in the next expansion, messing around with time
opens up so much stuff to play with for the future expansions I just cannot
wait to see what happens.
Shortly after announcing all this the physical collector’s
edition was put up finally after months of waiting, everyone knew it was coming
but of course we had to wait. Although we did have to wait nearly a day to
confirm that collector’s box matches the rest in the series. Check it out below
but I will be picking this up on day of launch.
That’s it for me today folks so have a good one folks,

Summer Time
Good morning gamers,
It's been a while since I've done a post and in fact it was before E3 the last time. The words busy cannot describe what's been going on and I won't go into the details but I'm hoping to get back to posting again. There has been a lot of changes since the last time we spoke and I really do not know where to begin with all this.
Biggest changes would probably be the best place to start I guess so let's start with the fact I hit over 160,000 gamer score finally last week. Clocked it without realising thanks to Valiant Hearts which by the way is amazing, graphics style is beautiful and the story gets to you. I'm about half way but I've had a few days off from playing video games since of work and being tired. Anyway back to the gamer score and it has been a long time earned, should have hit this months ago if not a year ago. Still hoping to hit a great score by the end of the year, will it be 200,000? doubt it but that would be awesome on so many scales.
Second biggest thing to happen would have to be me owning a Wii U, yes folks I did buy one in the end and it was just after E3 has well. Mario Kart 8 was calling to me and I did want to get Monster Hunter later on as well, the free game with Mario Kart was a nice bonus. E3 was not that bad either for the Wii U and I did like the look of Zelda and Splattoon, still think there could be more made for the console. But yes it was look appealling but what made me get it in the end was the fact HMV knocked the price down to £130 when I went in. I've seen preowned units going for £190 so that was a bargain and it included Nintendoland as well so yeah bought it straight away. Picked up Mario Kart 8 a day later and got Monster Hunter for free using the promo code.
So am I enjoying it? yes and no, not put that much time on it due to fact the last two weeks have been crazy, think I've clocked two hours on it so far but from what I've played I love it. Mario Kart 8 is awesome and would recommend it to anyone, my girlfriend has taken over it right now and clocked more time on it then me. I love the fact we can put the game onto the pad so we can watch TV still while playing, just makes life so much easier.
So other than those two there has been a few things but I won't cover those in this post today. I will promise to get some more posts done soon, it's just getting the time and not having writers block. Also really want to do some work on the layout and change the blog a bit to make it bit more appealing, so fingers crossed while we in the summer where there is less games coming out I can get all this done.
Until then my readers have a good day and I will catch you later.

Monday Thoughts
Morning folks,
Time for an update on what I've been up to in the world of gaming and that of course is all Watch_Dogs. Actually that's a lie I did play some Star Wars Old Republic yesterday for a few hours but yes Watch_Dogs took up most of my week. Have I finished the story campaign? no course not! been too distracted with the side missions and collectibles. Yesterday I finally completed Act 1 of the story after completing all the QR codes around the city. I will be working on the story more now that the rest of the collectible stuff cannot be finished without making progress into the story.
So what do I think of the game so far? I love it and give it a solid 9 out of 10 right now. Would I say game of the year? not yet and reason for that is I need to give it more time before giving it my final verdict. The game is stunning and graphics wise very impressive, check out some of my screen shots on this page that I took on the PS4 to see what I mean.
Game story is still too early to say and it's ok right now but I don't know, it's just not gripping me straight away. But then again if you look at Assassin's Creed with the first one, I love the game but it wasn't until mid/end game that I got sucked into the story. I think this will be the same and in fact I look forward to seeing where they take this new IP and hope to see a full series.
So far though I'm really enjoying the game and as I said I will come back to it with my final thoughts once the story is completed. I did also pick up the Season Pass as well so I will talk about the content for that as well once I've tried it.
Other than Watch_Dogs I don't really have much to talk about concerning what I've played since it took most of my week up. I will confirm that I unlocked the May 2014 card back in Hearthstone, I only hit rank 20 this month and did not play as much as I wanted to. Bit gutted about not making any progress since I really want to attempt to work my way up the ladder. I would like to try this month but it could be a interesting month.
We might actually be seeing the new singleplayer expansion being added. It's listed for summer time release which of course could be July/August as well but we could see it this month. If this happens I can see the arena plays being pushed to the side while I do the raid story. I will be going for rank 20 again since there has been another backing listed for unlocking this month. Check out the very colourful and unique rainbow card, no theme on World of Warcraft this time around.
Think that's it folks for my gaming, I do have some thoughts on upcoming games I want to talk about but I really could do with some lunch so I'm off to cook some Tomato soup.

Pre-E3 Announcements Part Two
Afternoon gamers,
It's time for another update although I will warn you that I am really tired right now, lack of sleep and having to get up early for yesterdays expo (UK Games Expo - Board/Card/Dice Games) has left me needing some sleep. So I thought before I try to do some gaming today that it would be a good idea to do a blog post or two, catch you up with my gaming and of course talk about the latest announcements.
So welcome to the second part of my Pre-E3 Announcements posts, in the first one I talked about Batman Arkham Knight, Farcry 4, Halo 5 and a possible HD collection for the Halo series (post can be found here). To start this post off I thought I would begin with the latest announcement and go with the new Lego Batman 3 game. We all knew there would be a new Lego game this year and possibly be even two but it was a guessing game. I'm still holding out that they will do a Lego Simpsons game which would be my game of the year if they did it (please please please make it!!!) but anyway last week the Lego Batman twitter account started teasing some pictures. Didn't take too long to work out it would be a new Lego Batman game but the real question was what would the story be. Still early days but check out the trailer below and it seems to be we going into space and if you listen careful you can hear the Joker laughing, really thought we would have the Lantern Corp. storyline or something but oh well still going to be great.
Guess we should expect to see more at this E3 which is only a week away now! seriously shocked how fast time does fly. So with Lego out of the way let's talk about the latest leaked game and that's Battlefield Hardline. It's a shame this got leaked because I don't think anyone would had seem this game coming. Hardline is cops vs. robbers with the Battlefield engine, it will have a singleplayer campaign that will act like a TV episode show with cliff hangers at the end of levels. Multiplayer looks intense with bank robbies, hostage rescue and a lot more. This could do really well if it's pulled off right and not just a general standard shooter.
Well this information was from the leaked game play trailer that had been taken down so I cannot link it to let you watch, the trailer was for internal and several months old so it could be all changed by now. Either way if it's done right it will be on my want list this year and hopefully I can rope a few friends in to play. Let's end this post with one more game that was announced a few weeks back and of course that was the new Pokemon games.
Although they technically not really new since it's the remake of Ruby and Sapphire, no game play has been shown just yet though. Going to have to wait until E3 I'm guessing for that along with any information of the game since Nintendo have only shown the cover art and that the release is November 2014 worldwide. I really thought we would be seeing the third instalment for X and Y since every other game set has one, well technically Black/White had a third instalment split but it was still the the third for that series.
So there we have it for this post, two great games lined up for this year and a possible new type of Battlefield from EA this year that could be amazing if it's done right. Could be a great E3 this year!! just hope no more push backs to 2015's with the game launches.

Pre-E3 Announcements Part One
Morning folks,
With E3 just around corner it's that time of the year where everyone starts announcing new games, show off trailers and of course good old rumours/leaks. So to catch up I decided to do a post series on everything so far and then I should be caught up (fingers crossed). Going to start off with Ubisoft announcing the Farcry sequel, Farcry 4 of course.
Few of my friends was shocked this got announced before E3 but to me it was a brilliant idea, stops people leaking it just before the event. They confirmed it existed and will be present at the conference with all the details, stops a troll from doing a big leak and trying to get a little fame for leaking a big announcement.
Anyway so yes we have a sequel which I will admit I was shocked to see, did not think there be another Farcry just yet. I still not played the third one yet and I do own it thanks to PlayStation Plus, think it's going to be one of those games I need to make time for this summer. Feel like I'm missing out but I got some time before this one comes out since it's slated for start of next year. There are some rumours about leaked story details etc. but I'm not holding my breath about them, wait until the E3 trailer.
So that's one announcement done so what's next? hmm so much to choose from so how about the new Batman Arkham trailer.
How good does that look? I'm talking a serious Game of the Year contender for 2014. Batmobile gameplay looks amazing and Arkham Knight at the end? badass. This is on the top of my list to buy for day one and I cannot wait to see more at this E3, hopefully some very cool limited editions as well will be shown. Would love a Batmobile figurine this time around oh man that would be amazing.
Right I need to continue on and going to end this part of the series with Halo of course, like Farcry they did a small announcement. The image below was put up confirming the full title Halo 5 Guardians and that the game is slated for Fall 2015.

If you remember my old posts I did say I was worried that a lot of the announcements would be for 2015/2016. So having both Farcry and Halo saying 2015 I was really worried, I really do not want to go a full year with only a few games. Don't get me wrong there are good amount of games coming out but it has been months since the launch of the new consoles and the releases have been quiet. Don't want to wait another year to get a good line up of stuff to play.
Anyway shortly after this a rumour started appearing which could explain why this is slated for next year. Halo HD remastered edition, the rumour slates that Halo 1/2/3 and 4 was coming to Xbox One. Now it's just a rumour right now but that would make a ton of sense, the Halo series is spread across two consoles and some people might had not played the first two. So releasing the full set for the new Xbox to allow everyone to try it out and catch up before they release 5 would make a lot of sense. Have to wait and see what E3 will reveal but I would be shocked if they didn't because Microsoft do not have that many exclusive for this year. Especially with their big guns like Gears of War only just been started and Halo 5 next year.
I will be adding Halo to my list to get since I'm fan of the series although I don't remember finishing number two, I do own it for the PC but just cannot remember getting to the end. I know I've done everything else though, have to fix that.
Well that's it for part one folks and are you guys looking forward to these games? all of them are on my want list except Farcry which is on my watch list. Probably will be added to my want list once I've started 3 or seen a trailer.

The Results
Morning folks,
Had a brilliant week off and yes I did spend a ton of hours gaming, just a shame it went so quickly. Good news though I did finish the three games that I had set has a goal in my last post. Finished off my rental game Lego Movie (Xbox One) and got the full 1,000 gamer score. Then I started and finished South Park Stick of Truth (Xbox 360) for the 1,000 gamer score has well. That was my third play through of that game and I got to say it's one of the best games I've had the pleasure to play. Finally I sat down and finished off the last four trophies for Walking With Dinosaurs (PS3) and now have the platinum trophy. It was a bit of a grind but the 2-3 hour mark that I thought it would take was spot on, so not massively long but still a pain.
Very pleased with myself with the fact I'm starting to get some games clocked again, I was doing really well at the start of the year then suddenly in March/April it just seemed to stop. Anyway that was my week goal completed and it does put me on a better standing with my goal before Watch_Dogs. I said 4,000 gamer score (target 160,000) and 2 platinum trophies would be nice. Well I've done the two platinum trophies now and half the gamer score. Could be possible to get the last 2,000 gamer score but all depends on how much gaming time I can get this week before next Tuesday.
Speaking of goals and targets that was my number 8 platinum for the year so I'm doing pretty good towards my 20 goal for the year. I do have possible two more lined up but not sure when I will get around to them just yet, currently playing the new Wolfenstein that I picked up yesterday and Battleship. Both are good games and I will talk about them in another post once I've put some more time into them and got a better opinion.
So that's it folks for me on my gaming for the week, I do have some plans for the blog and I've got a ton of posts I want to put up about all the new stuff that's been announced. I want to sit down later for an hour or two to plan everything out before I start posting. Expect a post later since I'm hoping to have something for then, until that time have a good one folks.

Week Off
Morning gamers,
Great news for me! its a week off from work!!! joy!! and its a chill week so I do have a few day plans but other than that I'm free to play games all week. I've set my plan for this week to finish three games that I've got sitting on my shelf.
First up is Walking with Dinosaurs for the PlayStation 3, the game is already finished but I have three trophies to get which is just doing several actions multiple times without a mistake. Bit of a grind but I'm thinking a hour or two make which would then net me a Platinum Trophy for my time. Also it will add to the little challenge I set for myself before Watch_Dogs comes out, clock two platinum trophies and hit 160,000 gamerscore.
Think that challenge might I had been a little too high and especially with only only two weeks to go roughly. Good news though is I did finish Lego Hobbit last week and clocked the Platinum Trophy, so if I can do Walking with Dinosaurs this week that would be the two Platinum Trophies done.
So that's my first game for this week and the second is of course Lego Movie for the Xbox One. It's my rental game that I've had for like a month since Lego Hobbit took over my time. I'm two levels shy from completing the story then it's all the collectibles to do. That is the longest part but it does help I think this game is the shortest and easiest of all the Lego games so far. I really think I can clock this game by the end of the week without worry. Should also net me around 500+ gamerscore so it goes towards my Watch_Dogs challenge as well.
Final game that I would love to get done this week is South Park Stick of Truth on the Xbox 360. Yes I picked it up again on a different format, even though I've clocked the game twice on the PlayStation 3 (platinum trophy) I still want to play it again. Cannot tell you how good this game is but you probably realise that if I'm playing it again the third time this year. Good news is though it will be a 1,000 gamerscore to the challenge so that 160,000 will be a lot closer just not sure what to do after these three games yet.
Well that's a lie since I've picked up quite a few games this week out of the bargains so I could work on them, plus I got a ton of Live for Windows PC games to work on that will give me some gamerscore. Anyway folks I'm going to head off and get some gaming done, expect some more posts soon since I've got plenty I want to chat about but until then have a good one.

Only a month to go
E3 2014 is just around the corner and I cannot wait to see what happens. I will admit this year I'm a little worried that we will see lots of great games only to be told next year or 2016. Disappointed will not describe me if that happens, the line up since the release of the new consoles has been a bit quiet so it needs a good boost soon, glad that in twenty days we have Watch_Dogs to dig into.
Right now for me I have three games I really want to see this year and they are, Uncharted 4, Battlefront and Mass Effect 4.
EA confirmed yesterday that Battlefront will be making appearance this year at the show, really hoping it will be their shooter this year since Battlefield only came out last Christmas and Medal of Honor was shelved. I loved the first two games and I really hope they can bring that greatness to their version.
Uncharted 4, you don't need me to describe why I want to see this game! the series is awesome and to be honest I was shocked we did not get this game in the launch window for the PlayStation 4. It would had done really well but I'm guessing the time factor got in the way plus all the employees that left didn't help. So I'm hoping we will see this game finally at E3 and get a date for it, again I would love to see it this year.
Finally Mass Effect 4 which just needs to come out! another one of my favourite games series up there with Assassin's Creed. Over the last year we have seen plenty of teasers pictures and I think it's time we saw a trailer and a date.
Come on folks make this Quarter 4/Christmas one of the best gaming launches ever!

P.S. Expect some more posts about E3 leading up to the event

Evolve & Destiny
Morning folks,
Well I was planning to play a little of Hearthstone and World of Warcraft this morning but maintenance on the servers has cancelled that idea. So I thought instead to get a post I was going to do later sorted now. You see I wanted to talk about two upcoming games that have my interest and of course show you guys the new trailers in case you missed them.
What are the games you ask? well Destiny and Evolve of course!
So let's start with Destiny which everyone should know about now, if not its a first person shooter MMO without the fees that is coming out to consoles in early September. Bungie have made some huge statements about this game for the last year and it promises to be one hell of a game if they stick to what they say.
And that is where I have my doubts you see, so far from what I've seen it's just a generic shooter and nothing amazingly special at all. Don't get me wrong I like my shooters and I will probably pick it up but I just don't see any "OMG!" moments when I watch the trailers so far. Check out the newest trailer showing off the "Devils' Lair".
Looks good but I just don't see anything special that makes it greater than anything else. Graphics look good and the gameplay reminds me sort of Borderlands in some ways but other then that what's the big thing? where is the wow factor.
Hopefully we will see some amazing stuff very soon, no doubt at E3 in June and closer to the release. Think it will help if they showed off trailers where you can see more people playing because it looks quite empty right now, graphics are stunning but you got to get that wow factor to make people stick with it. But anyway this game is still on my list to buy and keep an eye on of course. In fact it was just announced that GAME in the UK is giving away a faster speeder in game when you pre-order and buy the game from them. You can see the upgraded sparrow in action below which is a nice little bonus, wonder how long until we will see some collectors editions.
So onto the second game and one that has really got me excited to play it and that is Evolve. It was announced quite a while back and if you don't remember then it's coming from the girls and boys that made Left 4 Dead (amazing game). This game is basically a online multiplayer game where it takes 4 vs 1, you have a hunter team chasing then a weird alien monster.
It had my attention straight away when they said they made Left 4 Dead, the concept sounded very interested. You have this monster that starts off slightly weak but can evolve into different phases making it stronger. Then you have a team of four players with different classes trying to hunt it down quickly before it gets too powerful. Sounds good and I put the game onto my list to be watched, now we have a trailer showing off gameplay in action. Check it out below but just watching it has one hundred percent sold this game to me.
You can tell the players are doing things a little slow and scripted so people can see what is happening but you got to be excited for the game. I love the hunter traps that keep the beast down but even then you got to realise how powerful this creature is when it turns on them. Also I was amazed with the environment map working against everyone, that moment when the creature comes out the water and eats one of the team. I kid you not I was cheering and jumping out of my seat, plants as well trying to eat one of them. Amazing, simply amazing! this game is a must in my books and I'm very excited to get my hands on it. Some awesome different skins and a new monster for downloading later are being offered for pre-orders if you look around.
Well that's it for me folks and hope I've sold Evolve to you guys, it worth a pre-order in my books. Hopefully Destiny can wow me soon but it's not off my buy list just yet.

Achievement Hunting
Morning folks,
After seeing the world record holder hit one million gamerscore it reminded me how much I loved working on collection achievements. Over the last year I really paid more attention to the PlayStation due to the fact there was more exclusives and of course friends on that console. I love trophy hunting as well but both systems have their good parts and flaws.
For example the Platinum trophy for finishing a game sounds so much better then saying I got the full one thousand gamerscore. But on the xbox every achievement counts towards the end score while on the PlayStation gold/silver/bronze trophies are not really talked about other then when you say I need x trophies to get the Platinum. Really need a system with both of those mashes together but anyway I really do want to start collecting achievements again since I've been stuck on 155k for a long while now. My dream would be to hit 200k by the end of the year but I doubt that in some way and maybe 175k is a good goal.
Reason I love achievements and trophies so much is that it's fun to go out and do the weird challenges, to try different modes or to find some cool easter eggs. Plus the fact you do get your moneys worth from the game when you spend all that time working on them. In the past I would just complete the story, I would never go out of my way to play on hard mode or do multiplayer/arenas. Go for all the collectibles and try to find every last secret in the game. There was some games that I would play over and over but not on the scale I would now. To me achievements and trophies are the best thing gaming could had come up with.
Anyway enough ranting and back on topic, I did go through my games to see what I have and I do have a lot of stuff to complete and finish off for the extra achievements/trophies. In fact I got a lot of PC games that xbox live enabled, with the possibility of the service closing I really could do with starting to work on these while I still have the chance. Think I might load up Fable 3 PC first and take it from there, I think I might juggle a few games over the next few weeks. I have Lego Movie Xbox One on rental and I'm expecting Lego Hobbit PS4 to arrive today, very excited to play that one since I hear its awesome and longer then Marvel.
I do have plans to to do two new post series on the blog as well that will be based around Pokemon and Warcraft (yes again, they seemed to be a hit last time). Plenty to do and not enough time, maybe I will try and focus on one or two games at a time. We will see and on this note I better go get ready for work. Don't forget to drop a comment or two, would love to hear why you love/hate achievements or trophies.

Calming Down
Morning folks,
Well the mad March rush of new releases is finally coming to a end and the bank balance can now stop crying. It's amazing how the start of the year is turning into a new Christmas for the last couple of years. There is still a few games coming out for me over the next two months but a lot less compared to what just come out and more weeks in between releases so there should be time to clock games and trade them in.
Hopefully you all had a great week and have been playing quite a few games, for me I was working on South Park Stick of Truth all weekend. In fact Monday morning I finally clocked the Platinum trophy for it which now brings me up to six for the year so far (twenty is my goal for the year. So not doing to bad so far with my challenge with my friend. Anyway back to the game and I got to say it was amazing, if you love the show you really need to give it a try. It's a really long episode is the way to sum it up and I recommend to do all the side quests because is so many gags you will laugh at. Got to say it's on the list for Game of the Year so far.
With that out of the way I'm now working on a few games, well I am and I'm not. Not really got stuck into anything just yet, still trying to do the Xbox One Achievement Challenge for Titan Fall and get level 50 by the end of the month. Last night I hit level 34 so I'm close but I'm really running out of time and in fact I need to do roughly five levels a day just to hit it.
Really doesn't help that I keep getting terrible lag and rubber banding in the game though. In fact I lost connection several times yesterday and it ruined one amazing game for me. Would say it's my connection but I've checked it and nothing is wrong plus it seems I'm not the only one. Just hope they can sort it soon because its making the game unplayable sometimes.
Fingers crossed with that anyway so other then that I am starting inFamous Second Son, picked it up the other day along side Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls. Only done say an hour max but so far it's pretty sweet, graphics are amazing and the game play is not too bad. Will hold judgement off until I've got into it a little more then I will tell you guys what I think.
So that's it for me this week folks, Titan Fall and inFamous will be taking over my game time. Not sure yet what I will do after those two but expect a post soon with what I've done. I do have a few more posts in the pipe line just need to write them up, hopefully I can get one or two up later but until then have a good one folks.

Saturday Update
So after the excitement of the new Assassin's Creed reveal I've not really done much in the way of gaming this week. Mostly because my work pattern is all over the place so my free hours went out of the window again. I'm still trying to get the achievement challenge for Titan Fall which is to get to level 50 by the end of the month. Got roughly around nine days to do it and I'm level 29 at the moment, still very doable but I need the time to sit down and play. Hopefully this weekend I will able to get to level 40+ but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Still working also on my second playthrough of South Park Stick of Truth, going for the full platinum and working my way through the check list of collectibles. Again I'm hoping to make some head way today and tomorrow since I want to trade it in on Tuesday for the Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls Collectors Edition. I will be re picking up South Park again later on the Xbox 360 to get the full 1,000 gamerscore and to keep it for my collection, yes it's that good and worth several playthroughs.
That's my goals anyway for the week to hit level 50 and to clock a platinum trophy for South Park. I do have some other games I want to work on but at this moment I'm trying to get these two done first. On the topic of upcoming games it's got a small flourish of games over the next few weeks then dies down for the rest of April and May. Blessing really since it was getting very expensive, next week we have Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls and Professor Layton x Phoenix Wright. Then several weeks into April sees the Lego Hobbit releasing then the last game is not until the end of March and that's Watch_Dogs.
It's good really since with all that time I can actually start working my way through some games, finish some and work on some marathons I've been wanting to do but not had the time. Like for example I want to do the entire Mass Effect series again (I have the PlayStation version not been touched) then the entire Assassin's Creed saga from the start. Refresh my memory on the full story plus I do have the entire range on PlayStation untouched so I have plenty of trophies to get. Has you can see I have plenty to play on the books plus there is plenty of past games I would like to pick up for a playthrough so hopefully I will see some deal of the weeks soon on them.
So yeah I have plenty to keep me occupied for the next few months, about you my readers? working on good or got plans for a marathon or two?
On that note I'm going to head off and get myself ready for work, so have a good one folks and don't forget to leave a comment or two. Would love to hear from you all.

Assassin's Creed Unity
Morning folks,
Few days ago a "leak" came out about the new Assassin's Creed game and showed off two screen shots from the ALPHA. It revealed the game was for the next generation consoles only and that another game was in the works for the past generation. Also it it revealed the setting for the game being France in the 18th Century. The leak was posted up on Kotaku which you can find here, there is a quite a few screen shots to check out plus the logo (See below)
Anyway last night was the final reveal from Ubisoft and it was confirmed that the leak was real, the new game is called Assassin's Creed Unity which takes place in the French Revolution. Check out the teaser trailer below ...
Cannot lie I was hyper yesterday when I saw the news and I had to stop myself from jumping on the spot. I'm looking forward to see what's new and how the story is going to fold out with the Templar's, plus I'm very excited to see what the second game could be. Will it be in the same setting or a completely different one, so many questions right now and lets not forget what awesome collectors editions will they do this year. Although it's going to be expensive year if there is two games this year.
Anyway soon as more gets posted up I will do more updates but for now Arno the new Assassin will have to wait, graphics look amazing by the way.

Gamers Year Day 6-20
Might be a little out of date with the keeping you guys up to date with what I've been playing but oh well. So good news in the past two weeks I finally clocked Lego Marvel on the PS4 which the flying stuff was a nightmare for me. Had quite few bugs and problems as well but overall I really did enjoy the game in the end, if I had to score it I would say a solid 8 out of 10. The graphics was amazing for the series and the open city was brilliant, got to be the biggest lego game so far. As I said though the flying controls and bugs held the game back for me.
Anyway so that was platinum number one for the year and my first next gen game fully clocked (will be referring to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as current gen from now on). That was last week and now I'm on holiday this week I decided to give Minecraft a big session yesterday, roughly ten hours in fact and got the platinum trophy for that as well. Got to say the PlayStation 3 version re sparked my interest in Minecraft again, not played it on the Xbox/PC in months but after learning enchants, potions etc. I really want to do more maps again and the Enderdragon was awesome, really good boss and a nice addition to the game.
Took a lot of prep work though to get that stage and I would say 80% of the time I spent playing was working towards that goal. So yeah really good game still and I will be making sure to give Minecraft an hour or two each week, need to make a map that I will use constantly. Don't worry I will post up screen shots of my work and when the versions come out for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 I will be able to do videos finally.
So two platinum trophies so far for my year challenge so not bad at all, I want to get at least one this week while I was on holiday but I was not expecting it on the second day. My next goal is to finish the story for Assassin's Creed Black Flags since I've still not done it. Kicking myself for that but I really want to give the game time it deserved instead of small thirty minute windows. So today that is what I will be playing, of course I will be playing some other stuff as well but not sure yet. On that note folks I need to dash since I want to get on and I have a lot of things to do first before I can play some games.
Have a good one folks,

Gamers Year Day 3/4/5
Evening,
So four days to cover in this post for my year progress and like I mentioned in the last post not a lot was done this weekend. But I did have a good gaming session yesterday which made up for the whole weekend, anyway onto the day posts.
DAY THREE - 3rd January 2014
Not much to report for this day other then I did start the multiplayer for Assassin's Creed Liberation. This game is on my list to get the platinum for but I won't be doing the singleplayer stuff just yet because I have planned for this year to do a full marathon for Assassin's Creed. The entire series starting with one since it's been a few years since I played the older ones, plus the fact I picked up the anthology set last year on PS3 so got plenty of trophies to earn while doing it. Anyway I decided to start the multiplayer since I heard it was similar to a facebook style game and takes a bit of time to get all the trophies.
It's shockingly bad and I'm really surprised with Ubisoft allowing it to be like this. You send agents out on missions or do combat missions which involve stats, actually that's a lie your stats don't matter you always win. Only thing that does matter is energy since you need that for your agent to bring in points. Every seven days is a cycle where the world fights for control of cities and the side with the most wins, of course everyone picks Assassin's so it's one sided. Honestly if I wasn't going for the platinum I wouldn't be touching the multiplayer at all.
So yeah I've started the grind with that on the night and also I picked up a new game for my collection while I was out. Spotted Lego Chima for the Vita in HMV for half price which was the cheapest I've ever seen it anywhere. Tried out the first level and it's pretty much similar to Lego Lord of the Rings so I've put aside next to the games to be clocked over the next few months ready. I know I'm putting a pile together and shouldn't but it unless I'm going to play but it was cheapest I've seen it all year, was not going to turn it down for that price. That was day three pretty much wrapped up so onwards to Saturday!
DAY FOUR - 4th January 2014
Very little to report other then continue with the grind of the multiplayer for AC Liberation, about half way for the first trophy though.
DAY FIVE - 5th January 2014
Sunday was the best day for gaming for me and especially since it was my day off, had a proper chilled out day to myself. Started off with the PS4 and did a few collectibles on Lego Marvel, even got past the annoying flying challenge I was stuck on (how I hate the flying controls). Actually was really getting back into the game and will be focusing more time on it to try and get it fully clocked.
Jumped over to the PS3 and went back on Minecraft and clocked about another six trophies, I'm pretty much all covered now on the crafting stuff. I spent hours building the mine cart track for the 500m trophy then spent over an hour bow duelling with skeletons to get the 50m sniper trophy. Got to say that was one of the most annoying trophies I've ever earned. So all that is left now is four trophies for the platinum, all combat ones as well so I'm currently working on finding some diamonds to make a full set of armour and weapons so I have the full advantage.
Finally I rounded the day off with a multiplayer session of Tomb Raider with a friend, trying to get all the multiplayer trophies for the PS3 version out of the way ready for the next generation at the end of the month. Did pretty sweet last night and got up to level 16/17 I think with about four to five trophies for my troubles.
Very good end to the weekend really and I'm charging full steam ahead for my year challenge, really getting back into the spirit of earning trophies and achievements. Just wished I had bit more time over the weekend since I really wanted to get something clocked. Not much time left today either as well thanks to work so don't expect Day Six to be any good but I am about to head off and get a small session in before bed so on that note have a good one folks.
