Morning folks,
Really did not want to get out of bed this morning, so hope everyone is ok and having some great gaming time. I'm enjoy the British summer while gaming my evenings away, plenty of fun. Actually while I'm typing this I've got The Simpsons Tapped Out on the iPad playing.
It's not a bad game, basically its a free to play game for the iOS devices but has no become available on Andriod through google play.
Basically Homer has blown up Springfield so it's up to you to rebuild it with the help of Homer and Lisa. You place the buildings where you want, sign jobs to the characters which earns you money and XP. Buildings also generate XP and Money over time as well, the xp levels you up which unlocks more story quests which unlocks new characters, buildings etc which of course you use the money for to build.
It's pretty fun game but can get repetitive quite easily and there is a lot of premium items that costs donuts which you can get a few free but the rest you have to buy. That's where I draw the line because some of the pricing is ridiculous, one of the event items unlocked a wishing well with the Leprechaun character and that cost roughly £7. So yeah if you do start playing this game be careful what you buying through the premium service.
Anyway back to good things about the game, well the story is written by the shows writers and the voices are doing by the right actors/actresses. Holiday events having been occurring in the past year, we have had Halloween, Christmas, Valentines Day, Saint Patricks Day, 4th July and so on. My verdict is worth playing, it's free so you cannot lose just be careful spending on the premium stuff.
Now I really should get back to the original post I wanted to write out, was not expecting to do a small review of the game. So yeah where was I, oh yeah I got the Platinum trophy for the retail version of Back to the Future. That's pretty much it for my gaming this week, reason being with Lovefilm turning off the game rentals I wanted to get as much out of my rental list as I can before the August deadline. I will be working on Phantasy Star Online again tonight, hopefully get a chapter or two out of the way. Got a few days off over the weekend so I'm hoping to get a small gaming marathon at one point, trying and get a few chapters done. Maybe even put some more time into the Last of Us as well finally.
In fact I could do with putting some into my MMO games since they have been sitting their for weeks. Maybe sort out a MMO night some time in the week and try to make it a regular thing, could be fun. Anyway folks on that note I'm going to shoot since I need to get a few jobs done before I head to work.

Summer is here
Morning folks,
Blimey it's hot in the UK right now and I'm not a fan, hay fever has been playing me up rotten although I have now got some tablets that seem to work. So prefer the winter where it's so much easier to get yourself wrapped up to be warm, much harder to get cool.
Anyway enough of me ranting about the good weather and time for an update on the gaming side of my life. Well I'm currently playing quite a few games right now, first up I have the retail disc version of Back to the Future from lovefilm. Currently playing that on the side so I'm slowly working my way towards the platinum trophy, in fact I'm a bit annoyed with Lovefilm right now. It was announced last week they will be dropping games rental soon, then it was announced the other day it stops on August 8th. Talk about a short notice and no reason why, although there is a lot speculation it has to do with the next-generation games. Why can the whole thing I have no idea since the PS3 and Xbox 360 will be still getting games for a long time. Shame though since I rental quite a lot of games through, either to try something I'm not sure on or to play something on a different format.
Side from that bad news I have started Phantasy Star Universe, if you remember in my last post I had three games to choose from. So far I've completed the first three chapters and I'm actually enjoying it, still won't keep it once I'm done but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. The chapters are like anime episodes with opening songs and closing songs, plus previews for the next episode. Gameplay is massively repetitive with you just running through rooms/fields and corridors, kill x amount of bad guys to get a key to open the next area. Then either a mini boss or boss fight at the end, then that's it really.
Also some good news folks I did put a little into The Last of Us yesterday and I've finally got a bit further into the game, think it's about to open up now so hurray for that. I will be trying to put some more time into it over the next few days as well.
Finally I've pretty much back to where I was with Phoenix Wright Trials and Tribulations, in the middle of the third episode. Usually play handheld games on the weekend when I'm out and about but I've not worked on it the last two weeks since I've been busy. Well last Saturday I spent a few hours on it and now I'm onto new story that I don't recognise. Again will be working on this in the future and trying to get it completed so I can work on Apollo Justice.
That's it folks in the ways of my gaming, not much really exciting just slowly making my way through the collection. Oh I did nearly forget to say I finished the story for Bulletstorm on PS3, couple of more trophies for my collection. Did delete it the other day so I've now got some space on my hard drive, well did have since I've downloaded X-COM to play. Really love that game and wanted to play it again, started up the first two missions again so yeah another game to play on the side. Yeah I'm one of those people who play a ton of games at the same time, it's very rare I will just play one unless it's amazing beyond words.
Anyway that's it for my gaming today but I do want to speak about a few things, first up have you seen the list of upcoming games at the end of the year yet?. I checked last night and I think from the end of October to the end of November there is a game every week I want. Last year all over again but this time all the games are triple A in my books and pretty much all coming with collector editions I want. Plus add in the fact there are two next-generation consoles to be released around the same time as well. Dreading it to be honest and not sure where I'm going to get the time to play all this stuff.
Speaking of future games I will be doing the changes to the Upcoming Games and Next-Generation pages on my blog over the next few days. I will post up once everything starts along with some details on what I'm doing with them so keep an eye out for that.
Ok think that is it for me today, I'm going to go enjoy my day so have a good one folks and I will catch up with you soon.

Success!
Afternoon folks,
Well yesterday was the first time in ages I was able to accomplish all my tasks that I had set out to do for the day, ignoring the non gaming stuff I did get the two platinum trophies yesterday evening like I had hoped. I was shocked because I really did not think the Ratchet and Clank QForce would appear for a while, but after two hours of grinding it popped on my second run. Had to take a break since it was getting to me watching Ratchet run around in circles and keep jumping off cliffs to hover safely down.
So I will be updating my blog stats again in a bit to add these two new completed games and now it leaves me with the difficult task of choosing some new games to play. I will be trying to motivate myself to play The Last of Us over the next few days but I need a game or two to play on the side when I'm not in the mood to play it. I've got plenty to choose from and I'm thinking I really need to work on games that I won't keep once I've finished them, the more trade-ins I've got the better. Plenty of new games and consoles coming out at the end of the year that I want so what not save some money using old games that I don't want anymore.
With that in mind I do have a few games that stand out to me, first is Phantasy Star Universe from Sega. Once I've played the singleplayer story I really cannot see myself sticking with it after, there are few achievements online but I tried that in the past and hated it. It's also an MMO so you have to pay for the subscription to play online, after getting two of the boss achievements trying to get the others was just too much of a pain for me (scratch that just saw the servers was shut down last September lol). Anyway so that's one game right there, next is the Tomb Raider HD Trilogy on the PS3. I picked it up cheap to play it again for trophies a long time ago and never got around to it, now I own the Underworld on digital thanks to the PlayStation Plus. Don't really need to keep it once I've finished it since I do have Anniversary and Legends on the Xbox 360 (special editions as well).
Final game that jumps out to me is Skylanders Spyro's Adventure, think I only did the first level or two and never been back since. Friend from work as told me it's a good 1,000 gamer score and not a bad game, the only problem is if I do complete it and like it I would want to keep my figures so I could work on Skylander Giants with them. Having a powered up character really should give you a advancing start.
There you go then, those are some of the possible games I have to work on right now. Of course I got a ton from PlayStation Plus that I want to play which would help with me cleaning up my hard drive on my PS3 since it's currently full right now. Also lets not forget I have a ton of games that I want to play and keep afterwards, way too much to choose from. I will do another update in a day or two once I've picked what games I will be playing.
One last thing I want to talk about before I do go though folks and that is the Next-Generation HUB for my blog, plus the Upcoming Games Hub as well. I'm looking into doing something different with them so if you wondering why they not being updated as I put my blog posts that is why, I will be doing a blog post about the changes in the next few days once I've finalised what I want from them. Now on that note I'm going to go and play some games, earn a few trophies/achievements and enjoy the sunny weather.

Where to begin
Morning folks,
Once again it's been a while since I've last updated but I don't need to tell you that I've been busy since you should be use to it by now. Anyway this is just a quick update post with what I've been playing and my plans for the rest of the week.
So to start with lets talk about the amazing The Last of Us which I'm still pretty much at the beginning with. Reason why I'm not playing it right now? well I'm not a fan of horror, it's one of those genres I hate along with sports. Of course the start of the game is heavily based on the mutants in a dark ruin city so you could not get any closer to horror then that. So yeah I've found it very hard to motivate myself to play it but one of my work mates as told me it will get better very soon after where I'm up to. A lot more humans to fight etc. and more like the trailers that was shown off, think over the weekend I will give it another bash. Need to try the multiplayer as well since it's meant to take ages to get the trophies for that part, hoping it will be fun to play.
Since I've not been playing that I have been working my PlayStation 3 harddrive since it's full right now thanks to PlayStation Plus. Deleting games that I would not play and completing ones that I do want to play. Last week I clocked all five episodes of the Back to the Future game, really good story and a short game to be honest. It's a point and click adventures where you solve a few puzzles to have the story progress on. Friend as told me if I play the retail disc version there is a separate trophy list with a platinum for your troubles, so added that to my rental list. Speaking of Platinum trophies I am hoping to get two more tonight, although it's more likely to be one.
My latest rental game is Rise of the Guardians and I've only got two more worlds to clean up then the trophy should be mine, hour or two max I'm thinking. The other trophy is for Ratchet and Clack QForce which I'm still stuck on the last trophy. Basically I've got to boost/walk and hoover so many miles to clock it but there is no way to track the progress so far. Think I need to do 40 more laps boosting then god knows how many jumps hoovering. Soon as I finish Rise of the Guardians I'm just going to go for it and hope it does not take all evening.
That's it for my gaming anyway folks, I have been playing Company of Heroes 2 on the side but not enough to talk about it. My PlayStation as pretty much took over right now as I finish up these games, soon as I complete a few I want to sit down and get some of the game done then. Anyway folks that's it for my plans for now, clock those two games and make some progress on the Last of Us. I will do another update once I made some progress and update you with my next gaming plans. Also I'm hoping this afternoon to get another E3 post sorted before I start my gaming marathon because at this rate they will be up when E3 2014 is starting.

Time Flies
The saying time flies when you having fun is very true, plus when you not having fun as well. Hello all and sorry for the delay in posts recently but I've been a little busy. Anyway I thought I would get a quick post in before I need to start rushing around to get ready for work.
So where to begin, well I've bought the Last of Us but really not got that far into it, to be honest I really want to play it but I had a few games I wanted to get sorted before I started to get stuck in with it. For example I had Bioshock Infinite from Lovefilm for the last month (maybe more) and I was about half way through when the Last of Us came out. So over the weekend I spent two evenings playing it and I'm now happy to say it's finished.
Not got the 1,000 gamerscore on it but I can do that another time, right now I just want to finish the stories on most of my games. Anyway Bioshock is a brilliant game! opening is good the middle was a bit dull and could had done with some work but the ending made up for it. It was one of those that left you stunned with the information you just learnt, I won't spoil it but give the game a try.
Anyway so yeah that was one of my games out of the way, the second was Saints Row the Third. It's been on my list to play since the start of the year so I did say to myself that over the summer that I would work on it since there is really nothing coming out. Well Sony decided to throw the game into the PlayStation Plus free games for next month, kicking myself for buying it now. But the version I did pick up was the complete package with all the DLC, so I decided to get all the DLC done before I traded it in (I can complete the main game another day now). That was done on Sunday so I'm doing pretty well with my goals, the last one I've got now is to get the last trophy in Ratchet and Clank QForce which is a proper grind.
I will be working on that on the side while I'm playing The Last of Us this week. Finally going to give it the time it deserves now but the only problem is that Company of Heroes 2 is launching today, doh!. Going to have to split my time for both games since there is no way I can let that sit there on my shelf waiting for a week or two.
On that note I need to go and sort myself out ready for work, it was good catching up with you folks and I promise to try and get another post in the next day or two. Really could do with finishing off the E3 posts lol.
~Iznic
P.S. Really should not have made that promise since I've got two great games to play which no doubt will keep me busy

Summer Begins
Afternoon folks,
Well the summer has begun and it's been nearly two weeks since I've done anything really on my blog. Sorry about that folks but I thought I had only missed last week but checking back I let the side down on the week before as well.
It's been quite busy here and I've had a lot of my plate, any free time I had spare I decided to use for gaming of course. Anyway I'm off for the week now so time to chill, have a few days out and maybe get some gaming in as well. In fact I just got back from the Last of Us lock in in my local GAME store and I got to say I am shocked and amazed on how great this game is.
The demo I played is an extended version of the God of War demo that had just gone live on Friday. So starting off I was given a run down of the information I need to play through with, first up I had only four bullets and told not to expect to find many either. Nice start and I feel really weak now, next up yes I have shiv type knife for stealth kills but be careful it can break after use. Dang I was not expecting to be this defenceless, good news there is a crafting system so through the game you can search for items to use to make useful stuff. So for example scissors, tape, cloth etc can all help to make med kits, knifes, hell there is batteries to power your torch. At one point I combined a plank of wood with scissors using some tape to make a pick club.
I will say this now do not expect to run through blasting away and full on attack, the horrible mutants are blind but can hear noise. Soon as you start shooting they know where you are plus it takes some good head shots to kill them, if they get close it's over. The game is about strategy, using stealth and cunning to get through the level. For example they blind but can hear noise, later on in the demo I got a Molotov cocktail so I had no regrets throwing it on the floor to watch the mutant charge over to the noise only to set it self on fire while I move past quickly. I even got into a one versus three brawl mid way through the game after killing a mutant with an headshot because they heard the gun go off.
The game is brilliant and hard if you not thinking about what you doing but my god folks I would recommend this game to anyone after playing this short demo. I really cannot wait for 14th June now so I can start getting into it.
So other then going to play the lock in I have finally finished Lego Lord of the Rings on the PlayStation 3 last week, clocked the platinum trophy on Sunday I think it was. Very happy to finally finish it and get it sent back to Lovefilm and since then I have been working on Ratchet and Clank Qforce which is a tower defence game. It's quite short with only five levels so I finished the story this afternoon and now just moping up the missing trophies.
I've currently not really got any plans for this weeks gaming other then just play what I feel like, found it quite hard to be honest to get into anything. Got plenty to finish up and plenty to start as well, just need to find something that will take my interest. Well anyway that's it for now folks because I want to go play some games, have a good one and I will try to get a few more posts up later.

Future Plans
Good morning readers,
Hope you enjoyed watching the FUSE trailers in this mornings post and that I might have persuaded you to get another game, if not oh well there is always next time. So I have quite a few things I wanted to talk about today which is unusal for me since I only normally do a general blog post once a week and this will be the third one.
Anyway first up pre-orders have started on Diablo 3 and not for the PlayStation 4 but in fact for the PlayStation 3. I honestly could not remember the announcement about this and was a little shocked, anyway I've put my order in mostly because GAME is offering a pre-order bonus. You get a in-game "Infernal Helm" which offers bonus xp when it's equipped and a giant poster (see below) which is doubled sided.
I love my poster collection so it was a must have for me so my pre-order is down, hopefully a few friends will pick it up as well so I can get a team together for a laugh or two. Speaking of upcoming games Sony posted up two trailers showing the unboxing of the Last of Us UK special editions, the Joel and Ellie editions. They are both exactly the same just focusing on one of the main characters, personally I've got my order down for the Ellie edition.
I was a bit uncertain about the canvas wrap box but after seeing it there I've changed my mind, it looks pretty sweet and perfect for this type of game. Also very happy to see the awesome poster is included as well, I've seen a couple of them in stores for display purposes and they look awesome.
So that's for gaming news the last thing I want to talk about is the main topic title for this post and that for future things I want to do for the blog. I'm thinking about doing a round up post each week which will list all the posts I've done for the week with links to them. Of course if there are no posts for the week there won't be a round up post.
Another plan as to do with yesterday when I was on shopto.net website, I cannot remember for the love of life why I was on there but I was searching for a game that was coming out. Anyway as I was searching I was shocked on how many games I found that are coming out that I've not seen in ages, we talking last E3 and beyond. Plus plenty of games I've never heard about but the main ones that stood out to me was the games I remembered seeing that I had forgot about. So what I want to do is create a page on the top of my blog where it will list everything, bit like the next generation and E3 pages where the games will be listed in categories so like keep an eye and must buy.
I want to keep this list updated regularly so once a week or two weeks, of course adding new games as it happened. But this way I won't forget these awesome games that get forgot about because of the main triple A games come out and push them to the side.
That's my idea anyway for the next two updates/changes for the blog, plus I need to start something for Game of the Year this year. I've played through several new releases so far so I need to start a list on where I think certain games stand so far. Right I really could do with finishing this post and get ready for work, if you guys have any ideas you would like on the blog don't hesitate to comment or send me a message on the Facebook page or even my twitter account. Both are linked on the bottom right of the blog, I'm always up for hearing new ideas.
