The Great Clean Up

Morning folks,
Up early since I'm currently having a clean up with my pile of shame. Yesterday I decided enough was enough, I've still got quite a few games in my collection after all the trade-in's over the last year but I still got plenty that are not being played. I love my RPG's and I have tons sitting on shelf, some still sealed from over two years ago. My excuse being I will play them soon and that they would be hard to get again if I trade them in.

Well enough! there is plenty coming out that I really want and I can honestly most of the games I would not play this side of Christmas. Some even I cannot see myself playing after Christmas into 2014, so I'm going through the pile and pulling them out for trade in. Wondering how I'm deciding what to keep? well my most favourite games will be staying, my all time favourite stuff like Halo, Gears and Assassin's etc. Some stuff won't be worth trading in like the £1 and £2 so they will be kept on the side, once I've played them then I might trade them in.

But yeah anyway I'm working on it and all the funds raised will go to the next-generation console, right now my sights is set on the PlayStation 4. If I can raise enough funds then it be games next and maybe if I really do good (doubt it, highly doubt it) I would love to get the Xbox One as well. So yes folks over the next few days I will be busy tiding up and working on to reset my collection. It's not all cleaning though I am playing some great games as well.

First up I'm still working on Diablo 3 although I've not touched in the last few days due to other interests. I will be correcting that today since I really want to put some time into it and get it clocked, might even trade it in after I finish the story. Don't see myself being in the mood to work on the Platinum for a while, especially with so much coming out. That's my first game I'm playing and the second believe it or not is Payday 2. The other night I was watching some "Let's play" youtube videos and got to watch the game in action, it looked awesome.

I tried out Payday the Heist due to getting it free with PlayStation Plus and after two missions I was hooked. Picked up Payday 2 yesterday due to the massive improvements I saw in the video and yesterday I did three quick missions with the A.I. It was brilliant although I did make a rookie mistake during a deposit box robbery, shot the camera outside the bank setting the alarms off before even getting inside the place. Place was swarming with the Police before I had even setup the drill, lesson learnt be more careful!.

So that is my games I'm currently playing right now but I have got several I want to pick up, in fact next GTA 5 is out and it's on my radar now. I like the idea of setting heists and stuff so watching some more videos I want it, plus the idea of the huge multiplayer crew to help just made the deal a lot better. So next week I will be picking up that and I expect my time will be taken up by it, in fact I probably really give Diablo 3 a huge blast this weekend in attempt to try and get it completed it in time.

Busy busy anyway, plenty to play and plenty to tidy up so on this note I'm going to head off and continue with gathering my trade-ins together. Have a good one folks and thanks for reading my nonense!

Nearly here

Morning gamers,
I know it's been a while since my last post but I've been busy with weddings, work and getting ready for my holiday (finally). Also while I've been doing these things the constant reminder that the big launches are just around the corner is on the back of my mind. For me the end of year big releases starts on the 23rd of this month with three games coming out on the same day. Then barely just after a week two more release with a game each week after that, then don't get me started on October and November.

I am in the middle of working out which ones I would rather have more since of the cost, it's even worse with all the different collector editions that are out there. Especially with the games that have multiple like Ubisoft's stuff. So anyway I thought I would give you a look at my list of games that I'm looking into, of course this is the unedited version before I start cutting any out.

Friday 23rd August
> Saints Row 4
> XCOM The Bureau
> Splinter Cell Black list

Friday 30th August
> Lost Planet 3

Tuesday 3rd September
> Diablo 3
> Rome 2 Total War

Friday 6th September
> Killzone Mercenary

Friday 13th September
> Kingdom Hearts HD Collection

Tuesday 17th September
> Grand Theft Auto V

Tuesday 27th September
> Disgaea D2

Friday 11th October
> Beyond Two Souls
> Pokemon X & Y

Friday 18th October
> Lego Marvel Heroes

Friday 25th October
> Batman Arkham Origins
> Batman Arkham Origins Black Gate

Friday 1st November
> Assassin's Creed 4
> Battlefield 4
> Angry Birds Star Wars

Tuesday 5th October
> Call of Duty Ghosts

Friday 22nd November
> Watch_Dogs

Not a bad list really and don't forget I've still got the next-generation console to throw into their as well with the launch games that I want. Wish they hurry with the dates because I believe a lot of publishers are holding off giving information on their games until the dates are announced. Well I better shoot off since I need to head to work, would love to hear if you have a list of games.

Until next time have a good one folks,

E3 2013 Microsoft Conference

Finally the last video is now up and it only took me a whole month after E3 to get them up, sorry for the delay folks. Anyway first is the conference video thanks to IGN and then of course below are my thoughts on the games I liked.

Of course let's start with Metal Gear Solid, not really played any of them to be honest so I cannot say I'm a fan really but my god that opening demo was impressive. I was really impressed with the graphics and open world that truly seemed to live around you. If I was to give Metal Gear a try then it would start with this game.

Next up the new Xbox Plus system, still cannot help but chuckle at this. I have no idea why they now jump on the PlayStation bandwagon and from the looks only until Xbox One comes out. Just makes no sense to me and the fact we talking really old games as well, why even bother. Of course I might take that back if they offer some amazing games next month or something. Fable 3 at E3 time was a nice touch just shame I already have it in my collection.

New Dark Souls 2 trailer looked amazing and the boss fight they showed off, dang what a fight and I'm still confused about the mirror shield. Was the character stuck in their? looked awesome none the less but still reminds me that I need to complete the first one and Demons Souls. I say that like it's easy when I know it could take months for each. Not sure I will get this on day of launch since I've not really touched the first two, bit of waste of money really but we will see.

Ok next up is Ryse the Xbox One exclusive and now at the start I was put off from the demo. It looked to massively linear and stuck in a small section where you have to fight one on one. Not my cup of tea that but then the demo opened up and it really got interesting, I love the formation scene then the huge battle in the tower where you see some brutal combo moves and of course more of a God of War style combat fighting. At this point I would get it on day launch but of course I would love to see some more footage to make sure it is the right game for me and that my first thoughts was not right.

Minecraft coming to the Xbox One ... not sure what to say to that to be honest, at first I was like so they just porting it over and making you pay again. But then they talk about larger maps and more online players, that got my interest straight away. If we are talking PC version multiplayer then giant time lapse projects could be possible on the console. My mind went into overdrive thinking of different projects I could do with my friends so yeah this went from "doubt I will buy it" to a "omg want".

Quantum Break, seriously what is this game about? a tv show mixed with a game? are they merged? seriously they show off some great trailers but really could do with the information and a proper demo being played while being explained. Until then I'm not even getting my hopes up for this.

Now let's talk about something I'm really excited about and that's Project Spark, when I first saw it I thought of something like Little Big Planet mixed with a few pc games. Then as they went on I really got excited about it, watching them place the village then start playing while still building was brilliant. The game reminds me a lot of Fable but that's a good thing, I really want this game right now and I've even signed up for the Beta. Using the smartglass features was a nice touch as well, I can see this being great for creating the landscape. So yeah this will be a must buy for me but like to know the difference between the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions.

Talk about a teaser, Witcher 3 logo and a bit of information what they want to do with the next generation consoles and then a small teaser trailer. Could be good but need some gameplay plus again I really need to play the past ones, I'm sure I've got the second one for the Xbox 360 sitting on my shelf sealed somewhere.

Some more gameplay footage for Battlefield 4 but I'm at the point now that I've seen enough, hopefully they don't show any more extra stuff because at this rate I will have seen the entire game. It looks amazing and will be a must purchase this Christmas, hopefully it be a day one launch title for the new consoles as well.

New Halo game which to be honest I think everyone was expecting, not sure what to make of this weird flying robot though. I would love to know what this game is anyway since they all saying now its not Halo 5 so is it a spin off series? or something else. Either way the new CGI looks amazing so I have high hopes for the graphics and the game it self.

Some more Titanfall footage which is looking amazing and such a shame it's next year, I know there is plenty coming out this year but still I cannot help but want it right now. And on that note that is the end of the Microsoft conference and my thoughts.

Thanks for taking the time to check out all these posts and my ramblings, hopefully all of you enjoyed E3 and looking forward to all these new games. Think this year holiday season will be one of the biggest launches in gaming history and I cannot wait.

E3 2013 Sony Conference

Finally getting around to getting up the posts for the main two big conferences, starting off with the Sony one of course. Right now the PlayStation 4 is looking to be my first next-generation console so I was looking forward to seeing what else they had up their sleeve for the console.

Like all my posts for E3 I will only be speaking about the stuff that interests me, sorry folks. Anyway let's start with Beyond Two Souls a game that I'm not too sure what to make of to be honest. It looks amazing but yet I keep hearing different things about the story and every time we see a new trailer it's a completely different place. One minute shes on the run from the Police then the next shes an homeless girl on the street and now a agent working for the FBI/CIA. Really worried they trying to do too much with this game and that it will become one giant mess, fingers crossed it won't happen though.

Small glimpse of the new Batman Arkham Origins which is looking to be just has good as the other games, love the new grappling hooks that attaches to two things. Also glad to see the Joker will be in it although I'm hearing this will be their first meeting which could be awesome if it's done right.

Next up The Order 1886 and what a nice surprise that was, although it reminds me in some ways of a HD Dishonored with the setting. Looking forward to seeing some gameplay and more information for this game when the time comes, hopefully at Gamescon next month.

Killzone Shadowfall is still looking beautiful so far and the new A.I companion bot could be useful, I'm still on the side lines with this game. Mostly because in the past Killzone has a reputation of showing off awesome trailers but delivering something different to what we see. Don't think it will be the case here but I just don't want to get my hopes up just yet.

Final Fantasy XV not a surprise there to be honest, soon as the delays started for Versus XIII it was clear they wanted to hold off for the next-generation consoles. Glad they did because the small fight scene gameplay they showed off looks breath taking and it reminds me I really need to finish a Final Fantasy game. I was a bit surprised when they announced Kingdom Hearts 3 straight after this trailer though, well it's in development finally but still. Need to get the HD collection so I can start playing the series, in fact I think I have one and two still sealed for the PS2 under my bed somewhere.

Next up one of my games that I am looking forward too, Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag and they showed off a demo. Now at first I got really worried, the graphics looked amazing but it looked like every other Assassin game. Follow the target and stay hidden while you listen in for information, but then it just got amazing. Watching the town get blasted apart then having the Edward jump onto his ship and jump seamless into the ship battle with no loading screen. Thank you Ubisoft! I really cannot wait to get my hands on this game now. Shame the demo crashed during the ship fight but still it looks like this game will be everything I want.

Another nice surprise was the demo for Watch_Dogs, think Sony and Ubisoft wanted to get me hyper. Really cannot describe how excited I am for these two games. I loved how they used the cameras to guide his mate past the patrols but at the same time take action to take out a guard or two yourself. Fingers crossed both of these games will be launch titles for the PlayStaton 4.

I'm having to re watch the conference, well fast forwarding anyway to remember what games was shown because there was a lot. I was really surprised how much stuff I wanted from this years E3, don't think there was a conference without any games I wanted. Anyway back to the games and they did show of Elderscrolls Online coming to the consoles. Really not sure what to make of this game because it looks just like any other MMO and nothing special, glad to see they gone for the first person approach since everyone wanted that interface. But still just not sure about it because I feel there will be nothing amazing to make it stand out.

Nice way to end the conference with was the Destiny gameplay demo, ignoring of course the script talking the game looked amazing. Seriously though the guy needed to be more quiet and learn to aim because I lost count how many times he was shooting the floor. Still though the game is going to be awesome if it's done right.

So that is it folks for the Sony conference and from me this morning, I need to go get myself sorted for the day. Have a good one and I will catch you all later!

E3 2013 Ubisoft Conference

Finally doing another E3 post just took me nearly a month to sort it out, this time it's the Ubisoft conference which was great for games but terrible for the script (sorry but the horrible jokes really need to stop). The whole "look I play games too, I'm cool" is just not needed, talk about the new games and stop trying to "connect". Anyway enough with that and lets talk about the games, first here is the conference from Ubisofts Youtube channel just in cased you missed it or if you want to refresh your mind.

Don't forget I'm only going to talk about the games I'm interested in, sorry folks but this blog is about my gaming adventures. Ok first up is the new Splinter Cell Blacklist which is still looking awesome, shame they only showed a few minutes but I think that's because it's out next month so not too long to wait. Hoping the story is going to be pretty sweet and some of the game mechanics better then Conviction (really hoping anyway).

Next game was a surprise for me and that's the Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, looks like it could be a pretty sweet arcade game. So far though I've only heard about it coming to the PC (browser game?), seriously this would be an awesome arcade/PSN title or even a Vita/3DS game. Build up a castle with lots of traps to stop others from stealing your loot while you raiding their castle, who would not want to play it. Plus I love the CGI trailer for it, I do like my comedy films and it was spot on.

Rolling on another small clip for the South Park game which please god release this game, really hope nothing else happens because I really want to play the Stick of Truth. An RPG game based on the South Park TV series, how can this go wrong! the script looks hilarious. I'm just worried with all the delays and Publisher change over that it might not be as good as I hope, really got this game on a pedestal right now. Come on Ubisoft make sure to get it ready for Christmas and make sure it's brilliant.

I have noticed one thing with this conference that a lot of the major stuff I was interested in was only covered for a few minutes. Think it's because most of their games was covered in the main Microsoft/Sony conferences but you would think they would keep something for themselves.

Watch_Dogs and Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag both look impressive, I will cover them more in the other conferences but both games are on my top ten want list right now. Anyway last game of the conference I was interested in was the new announce of Tom Clancy Division. An RPG (well so they say) online shooter, drop in and drop out with your friends as you explore a world falling apart. The gameplay level they showed off looked good but I won't get my hope up too yet, I will wait to see more because all I keep thinking is "End War", good game but not as good as it should had been.

So that's it for me with the Ubisoft conference, was not the best one but it did show off some impressive stuff. They have quite a few games on my want list this year so hopefully they will be great, really looking forward to playing the new Assassin's Creed although I really wish I knew about the story with how its related to the present time.

Also got massive hopes on Watch_Dogs, man that game could be my game of the year for 2013 if it's done right. Anyway I need to go since I need to continue my gaming marathon so have a good night folks.

E3 2013 EA Conference

Morning gamers,
I've been struggling since E3 on how to write this post out, at first I had posts for each conference but I kept getting a writers block right at the start. In the end I decided to go with this and just write my thoughts plus dropping the twitter messages During the live streams I was posting my thoughts on Twitter, it was interesting to do but somethings I wished I could had change. Also it's a nightmare to copy and paste them over to the blog since everything has to be changed to work (font, text size etc.), plus after changing everything the blog post just went weird. Too much time waisted and it was just not worth it, you can see my thoughts anyway on my twitter account which is linked on the side.

Anyway let's jump straight in with the first conference which was the best one in my books and that's EA. Why did I like this one the most? well I found I enjoyed all the games shown, it had some nice surprises and overall I did not have to keep cringing at the presenters script speeches.

So where to begin, well the Garden Warfare at the start was a nice shock. At first I really thought I would hate it when they started talking about it but once they started playing it, well it went on my list to buy when it comes out. I can see it being quite a laugh with a few friends and I really do enjoy Plants vs Zombies. Of course right now it is exclusive to Xbox One and PC which was interesting move on EA's part. Especially with the next game Titan Fall that was shown off again, another Xbox One exclusive. Seems EA are really backing up the Microsoft team this generation. Anyway Titan Fall looks amazing, multiplayer battlefield/future sci-fi with mechs.

I love the fact the mechs are not slow heavy machines, it will definitely make the game more interesting. Few things in the demo they showed off that got my interest the most was when the pilot jumped into the mech and it took seconds to boot up. Nice fast paced jump in and jump out which will work well for the multiplayer, also loved when they rip out a pilot from another mech. Brutal finisher move plus when they jump out their mech and climb on top of another one to blow the circuits in the head to blind them. Shame it's next year though but hopefully not to long into the year, but I would like to see more how the story campaign works since it seems to be integrated into the multiplayer.

Ok onto the next game which wasn't really shown but my god did it cause a riot on the Internet. A small teaser to the next Battlefront game! which will be using the Frost Engine 3 and being developed by the DICE team. Mind was blown when they showed this off and my twitter feed could not keep up with my friends. Really cannot wait to see what they will do with this game but I won't get my hopes up yet, no doubt it be the end of next year at the earliest if we lucky.

Let's see what was next announced, I'm currently watching the stream again while I'm posting so I can remember everything I wanted to talk about. Ohh yeah Dragon Age 3 which I would like to see more and in fact I really could do with playing and completing the first two before buying this. It looked good, it has everything I want from a fantasy game. Dragons, monsters, end of the world but I could not help but chuckle at the green meteors since they remind me of Warcraft 3. But anyway yeah it could be a great game but a lot more needs to be shown off first and as I said I need to play the first two before I start to get excited.

Final game for EA which stole the show for me was Battlefield 4, how amazing was that? 64 player multiplayer now for the next generation consoles. Having that demo level being shown off with the full 64 players playing was such a smart move. I know everyone was shocked on what they saw and it amazing, I loved watching them drop the road with the tank on into the tunnel. The skyscraper at the end was another amazing touch, in fact I watched a new video yesterday that explains when the skyscraper falls it creates rubble every where so it changes the landscape of the level. You now have more cover but at the same time it creates this giant dust cloud so vision becomes impossible in the area it was.

Also the commander option with the tablet was pretty sweet, I loved the missile launch system but I do question how many people will use it. I know it seems to be the big thing this generation to have phone and tablet support but still not so sure on it, but I've not had ago so it could be amazing for all I know.

Anyway folks that is my thoughts on the EA conference, as I said I was really impressed with it and the games. My want list has grown a little thanks to them and I really cannot wait to get my hands on these games, only a few months for some. Don't forget to drop a line with what you thought of this conference, I would love to hear your opinion on what you saw.

The Day After

Morning gamers,
Well all the main companies have now done their conferences and all that's left now is the show floor information to come. It's been one hell of a E3 this year and I got to say I've been really impressed with all the games this year, I was really shocked how much there is I want this year. Of course it was just games though was it, we had the next generation consoles being fully revealed and now the dust is settled I think its time to start catching up with my blog posts and talk about what I thought.

To start with Sony have won this war with out a doubt, undercutting the Xbox One price by £80 and announcing there won't be any DRM or blocks on Pre-owned was a killing blow. Yes I have read yesterdays comment and saw people was annoyed that publishers can do one time use serial keys but that's already in place with the PlayStation 3. Sony was just confirming that they are keeping the PlayStation 3 policy, chill people.

Anyway for the best show I'm going to go with EA believe it or not, they really surprised me with the amount of games they showed off. Not just the amount though but how impressive they was as well, the 64 player match for Battlefield 4 being shown off was brilliant. Also Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare then the teaser for Battlefront, think they killed the internet when they showed that off.

So yeah it has been great E3 this year and thanks to it I've decided I'm getting a PlayStation 4 first, I do want a Xbox One since they have some nice exclusive games like Ryse, Titanfall, PVZ Garden Warfare, Halo 5 and Project Spark to name a few. If I could buy both at launch I will but the PlayStation 4 is the first thing I'm buying, the console looks better, cheaper, no restrictions and the share stuff looks amazing. Plus they too have some nice exclusives, e.g. Killzone, The Order 1886, Witness, Knack etc.

Think I need to put a list together of all the games I want and start working out a savings plan because it's going to be a expensive year that's for sure. It's a great time to be a gamer right now though, anyway I'm going to shoot so I can start getting the E3 conference posts up.

By the way before I do run off I do have to say this year had way too many techincal problems, games crashing, bad feeds etc. quite a lot to be normal plus for god sake stop with the terrible scripts. Watching people playing the demos on stage and do the robot talk is annoying "this is fun" "lets go this way" "hi friend, you come to join me on adventure". Stop it! it's annoying!

P.S. Your thoughts on E3 this year? Loved it? Hated it?

Xbox One Announcement

So it was finally announced last night and confirmed that the next generation console for Microsoft would be the Xbox One. Why a name like that? well it seemed I did call it and it's an all in one entertainment unit and not just a video game console. Below is the replay video from Gamespot.com so if you not seen the conference then check it out, if you have jump over the video to see my thoughts.

This is the second attempt to write this post because I'm finding it hard to write my thoughts for this console. When I first saw it I was really impressed with the look of the controller, it looked comfortable and brought all the great stuff from the Xbox 360 one. The console itself though looked just ok, one giant beast of a machine but as long as it does its job then I don't mind.

So it comes with 8GB ram, great that means it can cope at least then you got 500gb hard drive. Liking the extra space because I'm getting close to hitting my 250gb xbox 360 one. Then we finally have Blu-Ray player, hooray for taking a step forward. Then it went down hill after that, I think Microsoft forgot that the Xbox should really be a video game console first. Instead we spent a good part of an hour listening to all the TV features that it can do, don't get me wrong i love the snap feature if it can be used for gaming as well. I would love to open the Internet Explorer mid game so I can check out a collectible guide or a guide what Ingredients I need to make a potion.

But how great that could be they never did once mention it about being used with gaming, if I did miss that please comment at one point in the conference it was so I can re watch it. It really got to me how they skipped over all the gaming stuff, Xbox Live was barely talked about. A lot of us want to know what the new features are, it's great to know we can transfer are profile over but will it be permanent. If I transfer over am I stuck there for good because I want to be able to continue to turn my Xbox 360 on with my profile since the new Xbox One is not compatible with Xbox 360 games.

A lot of people was shocked they could not play their old games, I'm more shocked you did not see that coming since the Xbox One hardware is a massive step forward over the Xbox 360. To run the old games they would have to put more stuff in to get them to play, so to sum it up more money would have to be spent so the cost would rise up. Don't get me wrong I feel your pain because I would love to play all my games on one machine.

Anyway back to the poin at hand, Microsoft paid way too much attention to the TV part and the worst part is after the conference ended it was announced the Live TV would only work for America on launch day. Nice one Microsoft because it's not like the rest of the world was watching today.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I walked away not impressed with the console and the amount of conflicting interviews yesterday is just making it worse, everything from it can run pre-owned to having to pay extra to play co-op. Microsoft really need to step up and do some damage control, answer a lot of the questions because right now they making Sony look angels at this point. If I had to decide on a console right now this minute I would say none, don't get me wrong the PlayStation 4 sounds a lot better right now over the Xbox One but that's the problem, the console was never shown off working. It was all this is what we want, this is what we doing so it was concept stuff so I'm waiting to actually see the thing running all their the stuff they promised first.

In around 18-19 days is E3 so hopefully we will see more and a lot more games to make buying these consoles worth it. Too many so called next generation games are going to come out on current generation meaning that the next generation versions are just ports with slightly improved graphics etc. Not really worth the extra £10 price tag and really not worth forking out £400+ on the console to play them when the console sitting under your TV right now can play them.

So that's my thoughts folks, like everyone else on the Internet I was not impressed with the conference and I just hope E3 is better then I hope because right now I'm worried that won't have this great show. For now though I'm going to sit on the fence and wait to see what they do with the next generation.
~Iznic

P.S. Kinect 2 having to be plugged in all the time, what the hell was they thinking! I hope it takes less space because I could not get it working properly in my living room.

PlayStation 4 Teaser Trailer

You all know this would happen yesterday and to be honest I had bets that it would happen today but oh well. Sony has officially posted a quick teaser trailer showing of a blurred version of the new PlayStation 4. At the end the data shows that the full reveal will be at E3 so make sure to be there.

It's causing quite a stir and it will be interesting to see how Microsoft will top it today with the new Xbox, but anyway back to the PlayStation trailer. Well looking at the blurred image and the quick clips shown it reminds me a lot of the PlayStation 3 slim model. What do you guys think? anyway there quite a few sites that have slowed the trailer down to show off each image but to be honest you not going to get the full picture. Just one more reason why this years E3 will be epic.

Going to be a busy one

Morning folks,
Currently waiting on my PlayStation 3 to finish installing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, seriously forgot how terrible the load/install times can be. Reason I'm doing this is so I can redeem all the codes in my Anthology edition, spent the morning so far doing it for all different games since I keep putting it off and knowing my luck the codes will expire. Anyway while that is sorting out I thought it be a good idea to get a blog post up, especially with the fact my weekend was crazy and nothing was posted up. Plus this week will be a busy one since we have the Batman trailer going up today and of course the huge Xbox Reveal tomorrow.

Not sure how I'm watching the reveal tomorrow but I will be Twittering either way about my thoughts, then my plan is to copy all the Tweets onto a blog post to put up here. This is going to be test practise since this is what I was planning for E3, should be interesting to see how this will turn out.

So other then being excited to see what is revealed tomorrow I think it's time to update about my gaming adventures so far. Well in the multiplayer area I've got up to level 39 on Tomb Raider so getting close, of course it's taking more XP each level so it is dragging a little. Really cannot wait to hit level 60 so I can just focus on the kill achievements. On Gears of War Judgment I clocked the 10 wins on Team Deathmatchs in the week and now working on the 10 wins for OverRun, after that it just levelling up and working on the 100 kills for each Locust which will probably be a huge pain in the ass.

I did do some Call of Duty Black Ops 2 multiplayer this week, mostly because I redeemed my COD Ghosts weapon skins and wanted to see what they look like. Not bad to be honest just black with the white skull but the nice touch is the code gives the skin for every weapon in the game, thought it was just for the one gun so really happy about that. Had a few matches and laughs, in fact came top in my team on the one match which was shocking. I did plan to do some Battlefield 3 as well but Skyrim took over and well it was nearly midnight when I finished.

I bought a house in the game (cheer) and then took on another random Dragon who nearly had me, ok that's a lie the entire fight was not my best. So need to restock on health potions and find a better way to fight a Dragon because I struggle. Oh yeah I was in Windhelm and ran into a Orphan girl, as I walking past her I overheard her say that no one bought her flowers again.

Now folks when I heard you could have a family in Skyrim with the new patch I wasn't fussed about it, in fact I planned not too because my thoughts was "what is the point". I had a family in Fable and it just annoyed me, plus I love having the great warrior with no ties background. Anyway back to the Orphan story, so I over heard her saying she had not sold anything. Yeah who ever said that gamers are heartless and that video games cause violence have no clue because I had to turn around and talk to her. I thought buy a few flowers from her and help her to be nice (dang my good nature!), well I got the fully background history from instead. Both her folks are dead and she now selling flowers to buy food so she can survive.

Good lord my heart broke! damn myself for being nice and getting into stories too much. So I tried to adopt her but at the time I had not bought my house yet since I was still 600 gold short. Hearing her voice sound happy at the chance to be adopted then go sad when I don't have a house yet so I couldn't adopt her. Well as you can imagine I charged out to get more gold, of course I was so determined that ran right into a Dragon (the one I mentioned earlier) and was nearly a BBQ. Next time I load the game I will be adopting her, well I think I need to sort the house out first so she can stay there but that is the plan.

So that my friends is why I love games! because the story can really suck you in.

P.S. My plans for the week? other then watching a ton of new stuff being announced I will be working on my multiplayer games again, cleaning up lego Lord of the Rings and of course Skyrim.

Wolfenstein: The New Order

I was a big fan of the very original Wolfenstein game and was even a fan of the Return to Castle Wolfenstein (had a copy on both PC and PS2). Never really gave the latest one a try or though I did hear it wasn't too bad but of course too much came out at the same time so it never had a chance. Anyway seems Bethesda announced a new game in the series and looks to be changing quite a few things.

It's been confirmed for Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 with next-generation consoles listed as well for Q4 this year. From all sounds of it this will be a reboot of the series in some ways and I am interested in the altered history story. The good news since the announcement that it will be singleplayer only which made me very happy, not every game needs multi player and I'm glad all focus will be on making a great singleplayer.

Before I end this post check out Xbox360achievement.org since they have two posts showing off some awesome images from the game, first one is here and the second one here. I will be waiting to see gameplay footage before I start to take a massive interest.

Call of Duty: Ghosts

Evening folks,
Well it's the 1st May and the rumours about the next Call of Duty game was confirmed today but then we knew they would be. It was very unlikely for a Super Market to make a fake artwork and then stick up on their site for pre-ordering (Rumour post).

So what happened then, well they posted up a Facebook page with teaser images saying the Ghosts are Real then a teaser trailer finally went up on their youtube channel a few hours ago.

As I said it's a teaser trailer and not much is known about the game but saying that there is some interesting information in this trailer. First of more information is coming at the end of the month at the Next Generation Xbox conference, so this could mean a new partnership again with Microsoft. So far the last several games for the Call of Duty all the DLC map packs have been timed exclusive to the Xbox giving nearly a whole month or two before they see the light of day on the PlayStation.

Second bit of interesting news was once again it says "New Generation" instead of "Next Generation" for the Xbox, really want to know why they keep saying new and not next. Are they changing their console so it's not a console any more? all the patches and updates for the Xbox 360 have pushed it towards more of a full entertainment system then just a console.

Anyway I'm getting off track here and let's get back to the Call of Duty game, as I said there really is not much to go on right now. Some stores are already taking pre-orders and already GAME are offering a pre-order bonus, if you pre-order you get Ghost themed weapon skins for Black Ops 2 multiplayer.

So that's it for now folks, come back at the end of the month where hopefully we can see game footage and finally get some information about this new series for the Call of Duty franchise.

Watch_Dogs

Morning,
Seems Ubisoft went to town last night and put up a new trailer for Watch_Dogs, if that wasn't enough they then showed off the four special editions for the game. I swear I might as well just give my wallet to them since I want three of those editions (not to mention there is three editions of Splinter Cell and three editions of Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flags I want as well).

So let's start off with the trailer I was going to post up today from the PlayStation 4 reveal conference.

Another amazing game I want for my collection, that open few seconds as you walks down the street is just ... wow. I love how it just simple quick buttons to hack anything you want, blowing the power box in the chase. Lifting the street barriers to take out the Police car and then stopping the train to jump onto it, such small details can make such a big difference. Of course this trailer left me with lots of questions like what the hell is going on and who was hacking the cameras to watch him.

The new trailer that went up last night was just a quick two minute thing just confirming that the main character is a Vigilante and you after a group of people, from the looks they called a love one of yours. Still looks amazing and two minutes of plenty of actions finally with a release date and confirmation of the collector editions.

So lets get down to the main point of the post, well first the release date for North America is 19th November and 22nd November for Europe. Nice Christmas present right there for everyone folks, anyway lets talk special editions and collector editions.

Special Edition
First up is the box standard Special Edition, now folks I will be talking about the UK information mostly so don't forget to check your local retailers and online to see what your country is doing. Anyway first up is an exclusive to GAME in the UK, the special edition is the box standard game with a slight edition to the cover art to show that it comes with just one bonus mission. The mission is called the "Breakthrough pack" and rewards you the "_Vehicle Expert Perk"

So the information for this mission goes like this, there is a meeting going on in the city by a group called the "Chicago Club" and some corporate CEO's. Looks like a power play from the sounds of it and your job is to race around the city finding all the scramblers who are blocking anyone from being able to do surveillance on the meeting. Take them out so you can then photo this meeting to upload to the world to expose them. Sounds interesting and the reward is free cars from your underground contact and discounts, so the mission is worth doing.

Uplay Edition
Uplay is the Ubisoft online shop this is their exclusive edition, again you get everything from the Special Edition but this comes with a very nice steelbook. I love my steelbooks and I know quite few collectors, this will be a nice edition since I love how they done the silver background with colour for the character. You also get two extra missions in this edition on top of the Breakthrough, the Palace Pack sees a Police Raid on a Internet mogul who has a huge data bank of profiles in his home. One profile is yours so it's a race against time to get into the Palace to wipe the hard drives before the raid happens. You get two rewards for doing this which is a boost to getting more cash from hacked ATM's and a hacking boost which grants more opportunities to investigate in the network (not sure what that is about, guess we will have to wait and see).

The last mission is called "Signature Shot" and this time a Biometric weapon as been smuggled into the city for the leader of a gang called Black Viceroy's. This weapon will only work for the first person to use so you breaking in to get it for yourself. Of course the reward is the weapon it self, a Biometric Assault rifle and the gang's outfit for your collection.

Vigilante Edition
Now this is a collectors edition and you actually get the mask and cap with it. I know it sounds geeky but I really want this and yes I could see myself wearing those!

So yeah you get a very nice collectors box plus the cap and mask, also added is the sound track from the game. Disappointing though is you only get one bonus mission with this edition and that's the Palace Pack again. I would had really thought they would had included at least one more mission pack with this edition but oh well it's still pretty sweet.

DEDSEC Edition
The final collectors edition is the DEDSEC and like most of Ubisoft main editions it's the figurine again. The figurine is pretty sweet but I don't know, after the Black Flags one I don't think it comes close to the awesomeness. Would had been sweet if they had done a bonnet of a car with him jumping over it like you see in most trailers.

Anyway again you get a collectors outer box that it's store in, the soundtrack is once again added plus a map of the city. You also get a artwork book from the game along with a couple of pin badges and some augmented cards to play around with. The main cool stuff though is the steelbook which is the opposite to the Uplay edition, this time the background is back with a silver/little colour for the character. Add in all three missions as well and the figurine wraps up this edition.

By the way don't get me wrong I do like the figurine, it really shows off the main character with his phone but I do wish they had gone crazy like the Assassin's Creed one. So which one do I want you wondering? well I want the last three, I love steelbooks and collector items. Which one will you be getting folks?

PlayStation 4 Games

Morning folks,
To start this weeks posts off I thought I would do a little post about some of the upcoming games for the PlayStation 4 which was shown on the reveal day. I would give them a post each but in the end I found them to be a really short post. So let's start with the new puzzling game, the Witness which looks to be a PlayStation Network game.

I'm a huge fan of puzzle games and stuff like Professor Layton and Portal are up there on my favourite list. This looks fun and pretty addictive, not much to say about the game though since the only information released is that you are on abandon island. Talk about being vague with the story but oh well least the puzzles look fun and I love the idea you get to explore the island, so no doubt I will be getting this on day one.

The second up game is Diablo 3 which I want to say I'm shocked to see coming to the console market but at the same time I'm not. There have been rumours for a long time now about Blizzard releasing a game so it was bound to happen. I own the PC version and I do have to say I do enjoy playing the game even though I'm not that far into it. Problem is the game had massive trouble at the start with online issues (needs constant Internet connection), graphics and lag issues. It kind put me off and I've not been back since, I do keep saying I need to go back and play but you know how it is.

I have my fingers crossed that the console version will have a lot less problems then it's PC counterpart. The game is huge and the maps are randomised so you might be exploring different dungeons each time you load up the same area. Plus plenty of loot to be add and I've heard now they done a huge levelling system after you finishing with plenty of extra hard bosses to fight.

Anyway next up is a new IP from Capcom called Deep Down, fantasy action adventure game that really does shown off the new graphics on the PlayStation 4.

Here is the thing though about this trailer, was that gameplay? because if you pay attention to the bottom left you will see a item menu select there. Of course this would not be the first time a fake ingame trailer is put together that looks amazing but turns out like nothing like the real product, but one can hope.

So on that note lets end the post with the Final Fantasy tech demo which looks beautiful and I really hope they will turn into a game.

Xbox Conference, E3, Nintendo and More

Morning folks,
Plenty to talk about this morning since yesterday was full of news, of course one of the biggest was the Call of Duty rumour leak which you can find on a separate post. First let's talk about the Xbox, well they have finally confirmed the 21st May date for the reveal of the next Xbox.

Need to look up the times for the UK since so far I've been given 3pm and 6pm, so not sure how they got those times. Anyway it's interesting word play with the "New generation" and not "Next generation" so I do wonder what they got up their sleeve. I was wondering though why do this announce so close to E3 when they could just wait the few weeks and do it then.

Well I'm not wondering no more because after the invite was sent out Major Nelson posted on the Xbox blog some details, link can be found here. This conference will cover the console and talk about the future then E3 will continue with more information and the games line up. So looks like Xbox E3 conference will be heavily software this year.

Not surprising since if you think about it every developer will be getting their current generation games out so they can switch over to next generation. Next generation launch lines up and future releases will be shown, so this years E3 could be amazing and probably kill my bank balance.

So anyway mark your calendars for that date and keep your eyes peeled to see what Microsoft have up their sleeve but now lets change the topic to Nintendo. Not sure what to think at this time about them, it was posted up they failed to hit their income target and that they had another annual loss. Wii U sales world wide not looking good and being one of the main reasons. But anyway I'm not here to talk about targets, money etc. what really shocked me and made my jaw drop this morning was they announced no E3 presentation this year.

Instead Nintendo Direct is doing it's job to communicate new information and that they will do a few smaller events around the time of E3 instead. Since this year for them it will be new software and not hardware it seems it be too much money to waste on a big event. Which in a way I could understand completely but it is still shocking to see Nintendo take a step back. Anyway the full details can be found over on MCV here. I've got my fingers crossed for some awesome games this year for the 3DS and Wii U. Really don't want to see losing Nintendo, they not my all time favourite console but I love the DS and 3DS.

Anyway that's it for news today folks and I'm off to work so catch you all later,

inFAMOUS: Second Son

Not sure what to think of this game personally since I do own the last two thanks to the PlayStation Plus but not played them yet. I hear some great things about them and that I should make them next on my list to play but with so many games to play, kinda bit difficult really but anyway the main trailer is quite short for this game. Mostly because most of the presentation was spent with the guy talking about how many cameras there are and how long people wait in que's for the Airport.

This could be a good game but I'm holding judgement, since one I not played the past games and two it's a cut scene trailer and no gameplay. They say the trailer was made using the game engine but I will hold off getting excited until I see some gameplay, too many times we have been burnt that way.

So we have a checkpoint with a massive amount of cameras everywhere and what looks a like a paranoid government, could be a very interesting game if done right. I guess should play the past ones but anyway again probably going to see more at E3 especially with this being a exclusive to the PS4.

Knack

I really don't understand why so many people I spoke to did not like this game, so what if it might just be a PSN game. It looks great and yes I know it looks similar to other series like Spyro, Jak and Daxter etc. but is that not the point of the game, to be a fun loving great platform adventure game.

Graphics look very good and I love the idea you can build the character up or down depending on the situation, it will be interesting to see what will the limits be in that regard.  Like if you down grade yourself how do you rebuild yourself, do you have to hunt around for certain material or does anything in the environment help. Guess we will have to wait and see what happens, probably at E3 this year to be honest but anyway personally I probably would pick this up on the day launch unless too much is coming out.

I say that because my guess is that this will be a launch title so it could be a expensive day. So my readers what are you thoughts on this game? not interested or does it look fun for you? drop a reply below. Plus don't forget there is a poll on the right about picking up a PlayStation 4, would love to see some more feedback and you don't have to register to vote.

Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flags

Morning,
Well I was not expecting to come home from work yesterday to find Ubisoft had confirmed the rumours was true and that Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flags is the next game in the series. The box art shown yesterday morning in my rumour post is the real box (see below) and that the full details will be out on Monday 4th March.

Interesting thing is the full box artwork that they put up did show the PS3 version will get an extra 60 minutes of game play like last year with AC3. Also they have confirmed it's for current generations since both artwork going around is for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Anyway the official Facebook page for Assassin's Creed confirmed late last night there will be a trailer on Monday for the new game.

So thing's will be exciting on Monday, cannot wait to see the new game. I've been wanting a great pirate game for a long time and the Assassin's Creed 3 naval combat features where the best around so this could be awesome on a new level. Any of you tempted yourself for it?
~Iznic

P.S. Rumour Alert - VG24/7 Just posted up saying there was a slip up on the official website giving a release date for the game as 29th October. But here is the interesting point though it says "Coming to next-generation consoles October 29th", so this could be on next generation consoles and we could be seeing the new consoles in late October? time will tell.

Check out the full story on VG24/7 right here.

PlayStation 4

So it's finally been announced! all that waiting and secrets they have finally confirmed it but no pictures of the console. That was the only thing that annoyed me at the conference last week was not seeing the actual console itself but I can understand they want to hold some things off for the E3 event, plus the main thing a gamer should really want to know is what it can do.

They answered that quite well, I was like a kid in a candy store or on Christmas morning bouncing off the walls as they told us about it and showed off game trailers. I don't know what I was expecting to be honest but it was not that, I'm very impressed with what they doing and I will get the console on launch day.

So before I start talking about what I like here is the conference video itself, if you not had chance to watch it then I recommend you do so now.

Right a lot of the specifications announced I have heard are not final but I bloody hope they stick with it, especially the 8GB of RAM. It will need it or even more to run all those lovely new features they talked about, and thank you Sony for finally putting a separate chip in for downloaded. Instant downloading and play while downloading should had been put in the PS3 a long time ago, this was one of the things I wanted changing and they did it.

I love the idea of the new social stuff like the video capturing, I've been wanting to do it for a long time now but the price of some of the capture cards put me off. Plus the fact only a selected few will work with HDMI really kept me away, so the idea that a click of the Share button and my game play session is ready to be shared is awesome. I will be using it a lot for my blog here folks, so many times I've done something awesome and wish I could had shown it. Also it would be great to add into reviews once I got back into writing them again.

Also I do like the idea of allowing friends to watch you playing games, bit like eSports streaming and the options of them able to post messages into the game to help. I know quite a few friends asking where certain items in a game so now I could just show them, or if they ask what a game is like I can send them a video or let them watch me play. So that's all brilliant to me and I really do hope they stick to their guns and actually do all these features.

Very gutted to hear that it's not backwards compatible with retail or digital PS3 games but in the end I do have to agree with people, I don't buy a new console to play the past console games. Just means I won't be saving any money by trading my PS3 in since I will be keeping it, might need a few new shelves under my TV.

I'm not going to go into the games in this post, going to do each one separate so expect a few more posts in a bit. But anyway Yes I'm going to get the console (as long as they stick to all of this that was announced) and it probably will be day one and I really, really, really hope the UK See's it for the Holidays as well and not delayed. Don't ruin Christmas for us Sony and be a scrooge, a world wide launch should be your aim or within the same week.

It's going to be interesting to see what Microsoft has up it's sleeve for their console, every one is saying April announcement. On that note I'm going to go work on the game posts, don't forget to comment with your thoughts on the new console. Plus I have a poll running on the facebook page to see who will be buying on launch day, so far it's four yes and three maybe's.
