New Week

Morning gamers,
So I did pick up Destiny in the end and I have to say no regrets with that decision what so ever. I will not say its amazing and game of the century but it is a really good game. Good solid eight out of ten in my books, what is letting it down is the story campaign which is boring. What makes up for it is the graphics and amazing game play with friends, this is where the game shines. Playing with your friends and the time will just fly by and next thing you know you have spent six hours in the game, forgot tea and got some amazing boss fight stories for your troubles.

I also did pick up Minecraft at the same time on both consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 which came out just a few days before Destiny. Love them to bits or though I am putting more time into the Xbox One version since I have a friends on there up for playing so we have a community world built.

So as you can tell I've got plenty to play with right now and let's not forgot I got Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition for the PlayStation 4 sitting next to my TV. I have decided that I need to use the next few weeks to try and clock a game. My next new release is not until October 3rd which of course is Middle Earth Shadows of Mordor. Really looking forward to getting my hands on that game and from the looks of things I will have the whole of October to play it since most of my new releases got pushed back to November.

My plans until this game comes out is to try and finish the story campaign for Diablo, of course also put some time into Destiny and Minecraft. I also have the Lego Movie game for the Xbox 360 on rental so I could do with working on that and clocking it so I can send it back. Think that's a good game plan to start with this week, it's been a long while since I've clocked a game so I better set off and get started.

Have a good one folks and I will catch up with you again in the week

Holiday Fun

Morning folks,
It's been a few days since I got back off my holiday and just settling back down again. I thought since I've got the day off today it would be good to get another blog post up before I started any gaming.

Awesome start to the day with the announcement of Minecraft for the Xbox One coming out this Friday! that woke up me quite quickly when I checked the news this morning in bed. No doubt in my mind that we will see the PlayStation 4 any day now along with the Vita version as well. Will have to dedicate some time this weekend into making some awesome worlds, really cannot wait to get back into it since I've been holding off building anything lately.

I know you can transfer the worlds over from the old consoles but I wanted a fresh slate and start a new. Good news though is any DLC packs bought will be transferable, picked up several packs early on the year when they was on sale so that's a bonus. Also the price is awesome since if you own it already you get a discount. This was posted up earlier on twitter...

"Minecraft: Xbox One Edition is £3.99 / €4.99 if you own the Xbox 360 Edition, and £15.99 / €19.99 if you don't. Out Friday!"

£3.99?! bargain! just hope the same happens with the PlayStation 4 version when they announce the date.

Anyway enough about Minecraft for now since I will no doubt be posting a ton this weekend about it. So let's talk about another upcoming game and thats Destiny which is out next week. I really do not know what to say about this game, it looks good and I did enjoy the Beta. Do I think the hype for it is bang on? no I don't, I really don't see this being the game of the century that everyone claims it is. Don't get me wrong it looks amazing and it probably will be good, but don't think its this ten out of ten.

I have it pre-ordered on the PlayStation 4 just a box standard edition but I'm really not sure if I will get it day one now. Thing is though if I do wait and then when I pick it up later it could be brilliant and I will have a long grind to catch up with my friends. Also to note I have no games other than Minecraft slated for this month and October is already falling a part with delays so I would have plenty of time to play it or to work on some old games.

Will have to think about it over the weekend, probably wise to check out what is coming out over the next few months so I can plan my spending. I know November is jam packed this year with lots of goodies.

Anyway on that note I'm going to shoot since I want to get some time on Diablo, have a good one folks

Gamers Year Day 6-20

Might be a little out of date with the keeping you guys up to date with what I've been playing but oh well. So good news in the past two weeks I finally clocked Lego Marvel on the PS4 which the flying stuff was a nightmare for me.  Had quite few bugs and problems as well but overall I really did enjoy the game in the end, if I had to score it I would say a solid 8 out of 10. The graphics was amazing for the series and the open city was brilliant, got to be the biggest lego game so far. As I said though the flying controls and bugs held the game back for me.

Anyway so that was platinum number one for the year and my first next gen game fully clocked (will be referring to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as current gen from now on). That was last week and now I'm on holiday this week I decided to give Minecraft a big session yesterday, roughly ten hours in fact and got the platinum trophy for that as well. Got to say the PlayStation 3 version re sparked my interest in Minecraft again, not played it on the Xbox/PC in months but after learning enchants, potions etc. I really want to do more maps again and the Enderdragon was awesome, really good boss and a nice addition to the game.

Took a lot of prep work though to get that stage and I would say 80% of the time I spent playing was working towards that goal. So yeah really good game still and I will be making sure to give Minecraft an hour or two each week, need to make a map that I will use constantly. Don't worry I will post up screen shots of my work and when the versions come out for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 I will be able to do videos finally.

So two platinum trophies so far for my year challenge so not bad at all, I want to get at least one this week while I was on holiday but I was not expecting it on the second day. My next goal is to finish the story for Assassin's Creed Black Flags since I've still not done it. Kicking myself for that but I really want to give the game time it deserved instead of small thirty minute windows. So today that is what I will be playing, of course I will be playing some other stuff as well but not sure yet. On that note folks I need to dash since I want to get on and I have a lot of things to do first before I can play some games.

Have a good one folks,

Gamers Year Day 3/4/5

Evening,
So four days to cover in this post for my year progress and like I mentioned in the last post not a lot was done this weekend. But I did have a good gaming session yesterday which made up for the whole weekend, anyway onto the day posts.

DAY THREE - 3rd January 2014
Not much to report for this day other then I did start the multiplayer for Assassin's Creed Liberation. This game is on my list to get the platinum for but I won't be doing the singleplayer stuff just yet because I have planned for this year to do a full marathon for Assassin's Creed. The entire series starting with one since it's been a few years since I played the older ones, plus the fact I picked up the anthology set last year on PS3 so got plenty of trophies to earn while doing it. Anyway I decided to start the multiplayer since I heard it was similar to a facebook style game and takes a bit of time to get all the trophies.

It's shockingly bad and I'm really surprised with Ubisoft allowing it to be like this. You send agents out on missions or do combat missions which involve stats, actually that's a lie your stats don't matter you always win. Only thing that does matter is energy since you need that for your agent to bring in points. Every seven days is a cycle where the world fights for control of cities and the side with the most wins, of course everyone picks Assassin's so it's one sided. Honestly if I wasn't going for the platinum I wouldn't be touching the multiplayer at all.

So yeah I've started the grind with that on the night and also I picked up a new game for my collection while I was out. Spotted Lego Chima for the Vita in HMV for half price which was the cheapest I've ever seen it anywhere. Tried out the first level and it's pretty much similar to Lego Lord of the Rings so I've put aside next to the games to be clocked over the next few months ready. I know I'm putting a pile together and shouldn't but it unless I'm going to play but it was cheapest I've seen it all year, was not going to turn it down for that price. That was day three pretty much wrapped up so onwards to Saturday!

DAY FOUR - 4th January 2014
Very little to report other then continue with the grind of the multiplayer for AC Liberation, about half way for the first trophy though.

DAY FIVE - 5th January 2014
Sunday was the best day for gaming for me and especially since it was my day off, had a proper chilled out day to myself. Started off with the PS4 and did a few collectibles on Lego Marvel, even got past the annoying flying challenge I was stuck on (how I hate the flying controls). Actually was really getting back into the game and will be focusing more time on it to try and get it fully clocked.

Jumped over to the PS3 and went back on Minecraft and clocked about another six trophies, I'm pretty much all covered now on the crafting stuff. I spent hours building the mine cart track for the 500m trophy then spent over an hour bow duelling with skeletons to get the 50m sniper trophy. Got to say that was one of the most annoying trophies I've ever earned. So all that is left now is four trophies for the platinum, all combat ones as well so I'm currently working on finding some diamonds to make a full set of armour and weapons so I have the full advantage.

Finally I rounded the day off with a multiplayer session of Tomb Raider with a friend, trying to get all the multiplayer trophies for the PS3 version out of the way ready for the next generation at the end of the month. Did pretty sweet last night and got up to level 16/17 I think with about four to five trophies for my troubles.

Very good end to the weekend really and I'm charging full steam ahead for my year challenge, really getting back into the spirit of earning trophies and achievements. Just wished I had bit more time over the weekend since I really wanted to get something clocked. Not much time left today either as well thanks to work so don't expect Day Six to be any good but I am about to head off and get a small session in before bed so on that note have a good one folks.

The Minecraft Journal: Entry One

Well I had a blast yesterday on Minecraft yesterday and I got to say I've got quite a few ideas I want to work on now. I spent a few hours playing multiplayer with a mate on survival although we only got to build a small house with a fort wall around it, spent way too long dealing with creepers and had a few heart attacks with spiders.

Did get time to check out his world and my god does it give OXM a run for their money, mage towers, castles, huge houses, arenas, giant creepers and a giant Iron Man. It's amazing what you can do with the new creative mode and it's left me thinking about a lot new projects I want to work on. Thing is though I love creative mode but I like Peaceful more, I find it more rewarding having to find all the materials myself and having to make them or mine them. Of course this does limit you with what you got in the world and increase the time a lot to the point huge projects are near impossible.
Also some materials have to be harvested off monsters so survival will needed to be switched on as well, so yeah there are few issues but I still enjoy it none the less.

Last night I started up my Peaceful world, not sure yet what I'm going to build but I don't want there to be plans just log in and build. I did start making a small house to start with so I will get some pictures up later but it's nothing special, I just need a base of operations.

I do want to have several worlds on the go alongside my peaceful one, thinking a survival map and of course a creative map. Although I did have two projects I wanted to work on the week and only one that jumps out to me. Thinking a map that is taken up by a giant castle, I'm talking hundreds of rooms, corridors, towers and walkways. I want it to be huge and when you walk inside you get lost in a giant labyrinth. This could be my fourth map if I ever start it so yeah I've got plenty I want to do.

That's it for this post folks and yes I know it's short but I wanted only to do a quick introduction to my Minecraft Journal posts. I will be doing these Journal entries as I work on my projects and yes I will add pictures so you can see my progress on them as well, I might even open the world up to allow others come visit. Anyway until next time have a good one and hope you enjoying Minecraft!

Lots to Play

Afternoon folks,
Been one of those weird weeks this week so I'm happy to say I'm off for a few days now, time to chill and game of course!

So let's talk about my gaming last week and what I want to do this week, well my plans for Lego Lord of the Rings did not go to plan like I had hoped but it's not too bad. After my post last week saying I really need to work on this game I realised I've had the disc for nearly a month, well since I'm renting it this does increase the cost the longer I have it (still cheaper then buying it though). Anyway so my plan was to complete two of the story levels each day since the game as three movies with six levels, I had already done a few levels so with this plan I should had clocked the Fellowship of the Ring by the end of the week and nearly done the Two Towers. Then my plan was to have a long session on one of my days off to finish the story off, then that leaves the hard part of doing all the collecting which I could work on next week.

Of course things went wrong so yesterday I finally finished the Fellowship and today the Two Towers with the Return of the King still waiting to be played. Hopefully after writing this post I can get the last six levels done but I do have some gaming plans later. But good news is least I'm working on the game and made some progress.

So that's my one game I'm playing but my main game is Skyrim which yes I'm still playing, I'm like one quest hand in from catching up from when I first played it. Really enjoying the game but I am spending way too much time having to make trips back to the vendors to sell my loot that I keep gathering. I cleared out a mine the other day which had a bandit camp in, should be around a ten minute job to clear it out but I had to do four trips back and forth to sell everything I looted.

Having a great laugh with it anyway and again I'm hoping to get a small session in today, I really want to get the next quest done which will mean I've gotten up to where I was last time. But the reason I keep saying I hope to do things is because I have plans to play Minecraft with a mate later.

I want to start up a community map and make it a regular thing again, I had a lot of fun when the game came out with mates so I want to get it up again. Especially with it being the 1st Birthday for the Xbox version, I even have two projects I want to build on the side as well which I will talk about another day. Speaking of the Minecraft Birthday check out the video below for the Official Xbox Magazine server party, they have a dedicated xbox switched on most days with a map that's been running for a year. This video shows off the first part of the other night where they celebrated by building awesome stuff and of course doing a tour of the world they got. I love all the amazing projects that people have built and how they made a city to link them altogether, I want to do something like that.

Well I'm going to call it for now folks since I really want to get some gaming in before I jump into my marathon multiplayer session, so have a good one and I will try to get another post or two up tomorrow morning.

Midweek and Start of the Month

Morning gamers,
Thought I would get another post in before work and update you with my latest gaming news. So I've pre-ordered the DEDSEC Edition and the Vigilante Edition for Watch_Dogs, I'm still excited for that game. In the ways of gaming not much as happened since Sunday/Monday where I had a nightmare with Hitman 2 Silent Assassin.

The game is quite old now and back in the day it had quite a few bugs that I had forgot about, well they back since they just ported the game over and gave it a quick HD look. It took an hour to two just to finish the first level, I had everything happen to me like the game froze so had to reboot the PS3. Best one was the fibre wire would not work as in it just went through the guy and not kill them, buttons not registering is the best so trying to go into sneak mode quickly is luck based (lost count how many times I've failed mission because of this).

Oh and the beautiful one when I loaded up the level and got a warning that I had been spotted, yeah this guard on the other side of the map (two buildings, trees, fences walls etc in the way) somehow spotted me doing something bad. Loved to know what it was since I just loaded the level and not even moved, was quite comical really.

Anyway after two hours I've finally clocked it and got the Silent Assassin rating (pure luck), the second mission went a lot better and nothing to report wrong. So fingers crossed it was just the first mission that was the problem but it did leave me annoyed.

Other then that I did play Minecraft for a little bit on Monday, it's nearly been a year since the game came out on Xbox Live and got me addicted (9th May). So I thought about starting a new map/game as a Birthday Celebration, so far I've just got a small one room building made and had some bad luck with creepers on my second day. Will be putting some more time into this week and hopefully get some screen shots up for you with what I make.

That's it then folks for what I've been up to, I will be continuing Hitman and Minecraft this week. Oh there is a new game that as caught my attention, Zombie Tycoon 2 which is hitting the PSN today.

Zombie vs Zombie real time strategy game and it looks like a lot of fun, so might try the demo if they have one and give it a go. On that note I better go get ready for work so have a good one folks, hope you all having a good week.

P.S. Saw Iron man 3 yesterday evening, how great was that film!

Minecraft Update 9

4JStudios have released a trailer for the upcoming update 9 which finally brings the Ender Dragon and "The End" to the game

You can find a patch note list just here on the Minecraft Wiki but of course this could change sine the patch as not been released yet. Most of the changes are bug fixes or improving new features, interesting to see the End since I never had chance on the PC to try it yet. Also it looks like they will be doing some changes for the console version, thing that stood out to me the most was an exit portal so I'm guessing you can still go back into your game once you done with the Dragon.

Anyway I really could do with jumping back onto Minecraft, got plenty of projects that I wanted to work on and I've not really been on since Update 8 which had creative mode. Plus seeing the Assassin's Creed and Claptrap skins just makes me want to go play right now, shame my TV has been taken over by the girlfriend.

Minecraft Episode Three

Morning folks,
Really shocked that this is Episode Three of my Minecraft post series, I thought I was on four or five by now and only just found out when I went to double check the number before I started writing. Really need to keep up to date since I've done a lot more since the last post. I've been kicking myself lately since I keep creating different worlds to play in and got nothing really to show off for my time, where my friends have stuck to one world and built crazy houses.

My problem is I want to build huge things but without the threat of monsters because its just a pain having to keep worrying about attacks at night, then at the same time I do want to play survival. So I'm going to have two worlds on the go, one which will have my projects on set at peaceful so no attacks and a survival world.

Going to use my well I think its my sixth world for the peaceful one since I started building a giant floating fortress. Need to go back to it and finish it off, the only reason I've not bee on it for a while is the amount of time it takes to get the materials just build the one floor.
Framework
The world is full of mountains so I had built a giant house beside one then started to have a network of mines going into the mountain from the house. Then I started to build long bridges connecting the mountains so I could get around, so as you can see above when I started with the castle I just extended off one of the bridges.

I had to plant a ton of saplings below to create a small forest to help supply me with the wood for this project. The plan is to have a castle with about three-five floors, the roof will have a small garden that as small gazebo type building that stores water that creates a small waterfall that will drop down the centre of the castle into the basement.

Originally I wanted the basement to be a glass bowel that would fill up then have a few holes in it to cause waterfalls coming out to go into the lake below. But now I'm going to create a small island underneath using dirt and stone to give it that authentic look, still have a waterfall or two coming out of course.

Measuring out the waterfall
Had to use wood a lot to work out where I wanted things before putting the stone down, since I had to put cobblestone into a furnace to get it to be brick stone again I did not want to waste any of it. Wooden planks can be picked up and put down again easily so as you can see above I was using blocks to find the middle and started cutting the shape out where I wanted the water to come through.

When it came to the gazebo I was in two minds about the design so once again I built it out of wood, I decided to have a lip on the top for the water so then I can have waterfalls on the top that go into the garden to make small streams and ponds. Glad I did build a rough wooden design because I forgot that there would be a second floor layer of dirt so had to move everything up one.

Gazebo Rough Design
Even made a trip to the Netherworld to mine some glow blocks to use in my design, in the picture below you can see the roof taking shape and the final design of the gazebo. The golden looking blocks in the walls are the glow blocks so they light up at night, as I said the problem is time consuming getting all the blocks. Especially with having to put all the stone back into the furnace just to get the smooth looking block again.

Roof Taking shape
For the time being I'm not building the walls just a rough out line, I want all the floors done so I can get the windows in the right place. Also thinking maybe adding a balcony or two later and I've merged the first two floors together to create a big hall way, the second floor is a balcony walkway that goes around the room so the centre is fully open.

Taking Shape
In the picture on the left you can see my crazy wooden scaffolding that I had to use so I could make the lower floors, also the dirt stairs next it is so the grass can slowly grow up and spread into the garden on the top. Just takes a while for that to happen but once its done I can cut down everything.

So that's it so far for my castle world, I will be trying to finishing it off and have a laugh on this world. Thinking of building a underwater house nearby but we will see, anyway that's it for now. Hopefully in the next episode I will have some more final pictures for you to see along with the survival world up and running. Thinking of doing a ton of tunnels again like I did in my co-op world with my mates, that way I can work in the night without being attacked. Would be similar to a space base, in closed domes and walkways connecting everything, ohhh plans are starting to form in my head now.

Until next time folks have a good one!

P.S. Built anything fun on Minecraft? give a shout will love to see/hear what you built

Minecraft Episode 2

Where to begin this post, it was probably one of the most epic co-op sessions I've ever done! me and two friends for nearly eleven hours of Minecraft fun. The plan was to play on Easy mode and survive the monster attacks while building anything we want, we had already worked on the map before and built a small house on top of a mountain.

The idea was to build a giant tower with a platform on the top where we could build without fear of attack, so that's what we did! I spent most of the time working on the platform while my mate Mike made a huge ass mine and then my other friend Jay decided to build a giant bridge to our old house which happened to be on the other side of the map. Reason being if we died we would spawn back over there then it took nearly a day to travel back to where we was working.

It was a lot of fun and my god we had some strange things happening, Jay's bridge is crazily long and takes several minutes to cross. Think he was planning to add a rail way to it so it would take less time to cross but the lack of Iron ore got to him in the end so I'm guessing that will be for another night.

The Long Bridge
Mike's mine goes right down to the bed rock and expands out, includes plenty of lava pools too! To make it easier I built a huge wooden tunnel in the air that covers the entrance then connects to the roof of the house we was working from. That way we could travel at any time without attack and then since it worked so well I had a second tunnel built to connect the tower to the house. In fact I did start a third tunnel on the platform that travels to a nearby mountain and started working on a second mine, funny story I thought I had found a natural cavern so had the lads come back me up but turned out it was just a small cave with nothing to worry about. As we turned to leave two creepers appeared on the stairs, the words "Panic" came to mind lol.

The Platform, Mining Tunnel and House
As you can see in the picture above how it turned out,the lava came from under the platform is connects to Mike's lava tower house thingy (no idea what to call it) which I will put a picture below. You can see the mine tunnel on the left side in the air that connects to the mine. Oh yeah and that's Jay super tree on the top, a lot of threats where made when lava was mentioned with that tree lol.

This is the start of my Wizards tower which caused quite a few problems. Original the waterfalls where lava and yeah I set fire to most of the trees below. Then when I put water down it turned the lava into cobblestone so the water went over it and expanded so it flash flooded the area. Yeah I was not a good person for the environment, I really thought Mike would be the one to cause that much trouble.

Anyway the giant balcony is the future sight of my new greenhouse since the old was too small and not producing enough wheat, going to create some water tunnels inside using glass but that's for another night. Oh yeah just left of the picture is a water fountain that keeps getting squids spawning in, also had several mid air floating ones thanks to it as well. Thought the lava fumes where starting to get to me when one floated by.

That's is the lava tower thingy that Mike was making, as I said no idea what he was doing with it other then its cool looking and very close to the super tree. Also how the hell did a Sheep get up here! yeah we keep getting random spawns and we did get a few Creepers magically spawn as well, that was fun since the platform floor is very thin so it involved us running around shouting "don't let it blow up!".

Finally we have Jay's glass castle which is very impressive and think he will be adding water or lava in the top at a later date. It was one hell of a marathon and great fun, we did do a Nether portal in the end (reverted the save file back) but that ended up with fireball throwing ghosts and zombie pigmen trying to kill us with gold swords. Scratch that they did kill us and we put the save file back to before the portal was built, need to decide on what we doing with that.

So that was it folks, plenty of creeper attacks, thousands of blocks mined, random buildings, floods, fires and everything in between plus a sheep! cannot wait for the next co-op game now.

Minecraft Episode One

Afternoon all,
Instead of gaming just before work I thought it was about time to try and catch up with some posting. One thing I been wanting to do all week is chat with you about Minecraft which is my latest addiction, I really never thought I would get into it this much. I remember seeing things for the PC version think that's cool but not so keen on the graphics and now I just know it gives that awesome old style touch. Reminds me a lot of Dungeon Keeper 2 which I spent hours on building huge dungeons then would explore using the possession spell.

Only problem I've got with this game is the fact there is too much I want to do with it, I have several projects on the go and plenty I want to do. I've been exploring google and youtube checking out the amazing projects people have done on the PC and it's given me so many ideas, it's unreal whats been made.

Anyway I want to talk about what I done so far then chat about my future projects and I will be doing a post series on the blog keeping you guys up to date with everything. Of course if you are on my friends list the worlds will be open so you can always come have a look and explore.

My first world is where I spent most of my time and got most of my achievements, I nicknamed it the learning world since everything I built there was to see how things worked. Got a huge mining network on the beach and a giant tower that splits off into smaller one that kind float.

It was also where I found out about Creepers for the first time, at the time I was running on easy difficulty since I never realised there was a peaceful setting (without monsters). Unfortunately one morning I stepped out to find a Creeper below my house, so I quickly ran back inside but the bugger gave chase and waited outside my door and would not move.

So in the end I realised I would have to fight it and of course I did not know they exploded! it was good thing I jumped back when I heard the hissing noise but I did lose the entire front of my house.

Creeper Attack
Since then I have learnt they disappear at noon so next time I will wait to then or create a back door to escape. After my experience I decided that I would attempt a second world and was very lucky to get a great mountain range. I wanted to build a giant keep on the top then a wizards tower on the large pillar of rock (See the picture below). But I don't know what happened really since in the end all I did was make the base floor and deleted the save. Think I had too many ideas and just gave up on that one, also I was starting my third world which I was going to make into my main world.

World Two - Wanted the tower on the left and keep on the right
World Three was going to be it for me, I wanted to do the hardest achievement in the game and that's the 500 block railway. So I spent an evening reading up on how the rails worked and watched several youtube tutorials. The day before I attempted this world I went on a friends house which I got to say was amazing, he had this giant tree house with a great looking home with a proper huge mining network system that was done up. So with some of his ideas I got to work on my third world, my plan was to make a giant two floor house with a balcony. It would have a fenced garden so I could grow food so I can switch the difficulty up later.

Also planned to make a giant rail network around the world so I could explore the place quickly, this idea then turned into having a train station with several levels. Finally the last plan was to attempt building a Saurens Tower from lord of the rings using glass and lava for the eye.

As I said this world would be my main one so I was going to have several projects being build on it but in the end it did not go to plan.

I built the house and a giant watch tower so I could see across the land, I did quite a large mining network but the problem was the resources did not appear. To make the rail way for the achievement I needed around 190 Iron Ore, 18 Gold and plenty of Red Stone. So in the end I did a massive open mine in the mountains which turned out to be lucky since I stumbled across the biggest natural cavern I've seen to date which gave me plenty of resources.

So the track was made and I even got it to loop back to the house so I was chuffed about that and I learnt a lot on how it worked. I did start to make the train station but I gave up since I found something else I wanted to make, few days after finishing the track I saw a great Minecraft Castle picture. It was a dark looking castle that was floating in the air with waterfalls coming off it, of course I wanted to give it a go. World four was born and with it my plans to make a giant floating keep, but I did not delete world three since I can let friends login into it to ride the rail way for the achievement and I can dig up the tracks to use in different experiments.

Anyway back to World Four, I spent way too long building a giant house to work from and began construction on the castle. I wanted to start from the top down so I started with the throne room, plan was to have the throne room in a glass dome on the top so the king/queen could see the world.

All the time was spent having to put cobble stone and sand in the furnace so it turned back to stone instead of cobblestone since it looked better and of course glass. Took hours but I did get it done in the end as you can see in the picture below.

But I hit a dead end when I started digging out underneath which would be the Royal Chambers, it was too small! then when I started to think what else rooms I wanted I realised I should had started from the bottom up. So World Four is now currently sitting in my save files untouched for the time being and World Five was born, this time around all I built was a bed (so I can get the day faster), two furnaces and a work bench. Right now it's going well with the grand entrance stair case done and the kitchen made, the upstairs banquet room is currently being worked on plus the entrance hall.

Early Picture, most of the back is done now

And that's what I've been up to so far in Minecraft, I do have a co-op save which I'm working on with two friends. Got a nice medium size house on a mountain but nothing major to speak of, I do have a plan I want to run past them but I have been thinking about doing it solo as well since the results will be different. So stay tuned for another episode very soon if I can pry myself from playing long enough.
