Pokemon Shiny Event

Folks don't forget that in the UK right now is the shiny legendary event, I say this now because the first Pokemon is about to end on Friday so it's your last chance.

Shiny Dialga is the current Pokemon you can gain right now and then on Friday it will switch over to Palkia, later on and finally Giratina. Not sure how to get your hands on these Pokemon well pop into your local GAME retail store and bring your copy of Pokemon White/Black/White 2/Black 2 along with your DS/3DS.

Just boot the game up and load up mystery gift then check out the wireless connection, all the stores should have a DS in store distributing the Pokemon over a wi-fi channel. It's that simple so don't miss out while you still can get them, don't forget the chances of getting a shiny in the game is something like 1 in 8,000+.

P.S. Gamestop in North America is running this event as well but using a different times and dates so check out your local store for details. Same for any other countries around the world, check out your local major retailer for information or serebii.net will have the answer for you.

Pokemon Event and X/Y Preorder Bonus

There as been quite a bit of information released for Pokemon over the last few days so I thought it be wise to do a post around it in case someone misses it. First off there is a giant Pokemon event happening soon where you can download three shiny legendary Pokemon for Black 2 and White 2.

For those in the UK it's a GAME event and all stores will be taking part (that I can see), it starts 30th August with Shiny Dialga and will end on 12th September. Then the day after 13th September you will be able to download Shiny Palkia up until 26th September. Finally on the 27th September Shiny Giratina will be up for download until th 12th October.

As you can see this all tied into the release of Pokemon X and Y, they have also announced in the UK that GAME will have a exclusive pre-order bonus. A Pokeball 3DS cartridge holder which can be seen below.

Very cool and I better start working on finishing Black 2 ready for X and Y, think I've got 6 of my 8 badges so far so not long now. One last thing was mentioned last night on the GAME twitter account that over the next few weeks there will be some Pokemon news worth checking back for. Really hoping it will be the announcement of the themed 3DS XL's that Japan is getting. Now before I go I have posted the dates for the North America download below which is being run by GAMESTOP, check with your local store to make sure they taking part.

Deoxys Pokemon Event Update

Morning folks,
If you remember a week or two ago I did a post about a upcoming download event for Pokemon where you get Deoxys. Well it went live yesterday and I nearly forgot, anyway serebii reminded me and put up some more details about it.

First up it's for the English games of Pokemon White 2 and Black 2 only, the event will end on the 31st May. Just connect your console up to the wi-fi and download it through the mystery gift system like normal.

The Deoxys is level 100 and holds the life orb plus it comes with the following four moves:
Nasty Plot
Dark Pulse
Recover
Psycho Boost

Sounds like an awesome addition to any ones team so yeah make sure not to miss out and keep an eye on serebii for any more future events. I will post about any that do appear but Serebii is the best place for all things Pokemon.

Deoxys Pokemon Event

Starting 8th May and ending on the 31st May you will able to download Deoxys for the first time on Pokemon White and Black or White 2 and Black 2.

This is for the English versions of the games so North American and most of Europe, not much details have been announced yet on the Pokemon except it will be level 100. To get it just simply hook up your console to your wi-fi and download it by the start up menu like in the past.

Keep your eyes on serebii.net for more information like move stats etc once they announced, I will update once I find out as well but usually serebii.net is the best placed for Pokemon news.

Meloetta Pokemon Event

Morning folks,
Just a reminder to any Pokemon fans out their in the UK, the Meloetta event will be starting tomorrow across the country. Pop into any GAME store with your DS and a copy of either Pokemon White 2/Black 2/White/Black to download Meloetta to your game.

As far as I am aware it will be the same one that America is currently doing so it should be level 50 with a PP Max. If you take it to Castelia City in your game it will be able to learn Relic Song which will allow it to change into it's Pirouette Form. Also been told in the versions White 2 and Black 2 it will unlock a FunFest Mission to play.

So don't miss out folks since the event will end April 19th 2013 so you have plenty of time to do it, for those in America the event is being run by Gamestop right now and ends on the 24th March 2013. Australia will be getting the event at EBGames starting April 19th with no information yet on end date, check your local store for information.

Will be popping in myself with all my copies of Pokemon tomorrow, still need to finish Pokemon Black 2 so really could do with adding it to my must play list. Oh by the way if you live in America did you see the good news about the Pikachu 3DS XL? yes you will be getting it finally, not information yet on which stores will be stocking it but I would have chat with your local retailers.

Valentine Events

Just a quick one folks but a few games have been setting special events for Valentines day, first up is Simpsons Tapped Out where you can get five free donuts today. That's in the game special currency that you normal swap your cash for so getting some for free is always awesome. Plus I'm hearing they done another update today and increased the town level from 25 to 26 which adds the Wiggum's house which will unlock Ralph and of course a new storyline quest. Will be checking that out in a minute myself.

Onto other games Borderlands 2 have posted up "Loverpalooza" and given out a shift code to redeem, if you not signed up for shift codes then you need to. Most weeks the twitter account for Gearbox Software post up shift codes to unlock Golden Keys, in fact I will try and post up here when a new code goes up. You can also follow Gearbox on twitter yourself and the link is here. Anyway back to the point, Loverpalooza code gives you a special skin for each character (think pink and see above) and Moxxi's "Heartbreaker" shotgun which will adjust to the level of the first character you login with. Bit gutted about that since my character is quite low level since I've not been working on the game, but my own fault really. Anyway the full details can be found on the Gearbox software community page right here but I've been nice and put the codes below as well, you have until February 17th to redeem.

Keldeo Event

Keldeo is back up for download again and this time its for Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 versions, non Japanese editions. Just hook up your game to your wireless Internet to download it then pick it from the Pokemart in-game.

It's level 50 and comes with the moves Swords Dance,Sacred Sword, Aqua Jet and Hydro Pump and you have until February 12th 2013 to download so don't miss out. Just downloaded mine since I nearly forgot again, typical as well since I had packed up for the night but I knew if I did not write the blog post now I would forget tomorrow. Anyway have a good one folks and make sure to download if you have the game.

Pokemon Event: Genesect

Morning folks,
I really need to get back into "sleep ins" because getting up at 7am with no work for hours is just killing me. Anyway since I'm up I thought I would start with getting all these posts up I've been promising myself for the last month, so first up is the Pokemon White 2 and Black 2 download event for Genesect.

This is the first time anyone has been able to get this Pokemon (legally), the event is through the normal Wi-fi channel so just connect your DS. The event ends on November 12th for America and Europe so don't leave it too late to get it. The Pokemon is level 15 and will activate a special event at the P2 lab in Pokemon White/Black/White 2/Black 2, it will also come with the move set Solar Beam/Signal Beam/Techno Blast/Magnet Bomb.

Well I did think that was it for the Pokemon event but I just checked the official site for the Europe end date and found a few C-Gear skins events are live on the Global Link site. So let's begin with three new Pokemon dolls for your dream house (Black Kyurem, White Kyurem and Meloetta), in game you get a mail from the Pokemon Fan club this month giving you the password. Make sure to check your club mailbox for that password since I cannot find one on the net so I'm guessing it's one time use instead of the normal generic ones.

Next up is a Pikachu doll and the password is somewhere on the Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 website, for the UK the password is RAPDRA (if you live elsewhere just pop to www.pokemon.com/BlackWhite2 then go to news).

Keldeo Ordinary form C-Gear skin is also up for the original Black and White games, password is KELDEOCGEARBW for the UK. Again just pop to your local Pokemon web page and look at the news stories to find a post with the passwords. There is also a Keldeo Resolute form for the new games White 2 and Black 2, again the password should be in the same news post but for the UK it's KELDEOCGEARBW2.

Important: Make sure to register your new games to the global link, I forgot to register my Black 2 so all the events related to that game would not appear until I had done it.

Finally there is a Halloween C-Gear for Black 2 and White 2, it's a Pumpkin Pikachu and it does not need a password just click the button to get it. So that's it folks so make sure not to miss out on any of these and the list of ends dates are below.

Keldeo and Genesect Events

Morning folks,
Thought it would be a good time to update the event posts since one of the Pokemon events is live and the second one was announced a few weeks back.

First up Keldeo is currently live at your local GAME and Gamestation stores, this event will run until 11th October 2012 (for other European countries check out serebii.net for information). It's a level 15 Pokemon and it's carrying the item PP Max, also it as several mini in game events.

In Black and White you can teach it the move Secret Sword by taking it to the Moors of Icirrus (must have Cobalion, Virizion and Terrakion in your party). By getting this move you can also activate Keldeo Resolute form when it's traded over to Black and White 2.

So make sure to pop in store to get this Pokemon, oh I almost forgot! you can get the Pokemon by going in store and activating Mystery gift on your game. It's downloaded through the wireless section but if it does not work check with a staff member that their cartridge is distributing because sometimes it can be forgotten to be turned on in the morning.

Genesect will not be a in store event like Keldeo since most of the rumours was pointing towards that, instead it will be just a normal Wi-fi event. So far only the dates have been confirmed and that's 12th October until 12th November 2012, this is for Black 2 and White 2 by the way and not the original games.

Last Calendarman Event

Sorry for the late post folks but only just got back off my holiday last night then had to rush to work this morning. Anyway today is Calendarman event in Batman Arkham City and if you purchased the game on the launch day then the achievement/trophy should pop up when you speak to him (as long as you been doing all the events every month).

Not sure how to do this event? you can find Calendarman in his cell below the court house, access can be found through the back door outside. Just speak to him on the specific days to hear a tale and once he's done just load a save point before quiting (save point loads up when you open the back door).

All the dates can be found circled on the wall calendar next to his cell, when you done a specific day the month will be scribbled out the next time you visit.


Anyway I just got my achievement and trophy so I'm a happy gamer, just need to do two more months for the PC version since it was released late.

August Batman Arkham Event

Evening folks,
I almost missed it again but thank god for my calendar reminder, so yeah tomorrow is the Calendar Man event in Batman Arkham City.

Not sure what I'm talking about? well there is a trophy/achievement for Arkham City where you visit the Villain Calendar Man twelve times in the year (once a month) to listen to a tale from him. You can find him locked up in the court house, enter the court house from the back entrance and go down the stairs.

Just speak to him and listen to his tale then that's it, once you have heard his tale make sure to get a save point (exit the court house, the door is a save point).

There is a wall calendar next to his cell with all the dates circled, once you done one of the dates in the future that month should be scribbled out. Don't panic if it is not scribbled out after talking to him, it usually takes a day for it to happen (real time).

So that is it folks and don't forget to visit him tomorrow!

Plenty of Pokemon Events

Morning Folks,
Something I've been meaning to post up for a few weeks now is there are currently several Pokemon events running, plus more events to come as well.

Keldeo

First up is the Keldeo event that as been announced for Pokemon Black and White, for the UK you can get it from GAME & Gamestation from September 1st 2012 until October 11th 2012. No mention how you get it from these stores but time will tell, also waiting for information it will be like the Japanese version which when it's traded over to Black 2 and White 2 it will activate it's resolute form.

It also says other parts of Europe will be getting the event but no confirmation yet on who, so sorry folks but keep an eye out for it.

If you live in America Gamestop as you covered from August 27th 2012 to October 6th 2012, it as been confirmed when traded that it can change to the resolute form. Also if you take it to Moor of Icirrus it will learn Secret Sword, that's in Black and White by the way.

That's the upcoming event out of the way now on to what is happening right now. On the Pokemon Global Link site you can get a Crustle C-Gear using the password CRUSTLECGEAR2012, this the English versions only. Then there is another C-Gear to celebrate the World Championship with, it ends on September 6th so make sure to get it soon as possible. Password is WCSCGEAR2012 for this event.

Next is the Porygon 2 decor item for your house in the Global Link, there is no passwords for this item just click the promotion and you will get it. Still plenty more to talk about, next is the Porygon-Z C-Gear and the password is PORYZCGEAR2012.

Finally there is a actual Porygon for your game to download off the Global Link as well, password is PORYEUROGAMERNET. Of course this is for Pokemon Black and White and no idea on the dates sorry but do it soon as you can.

Short Notice

I almost forgot myself until last night when I realised today is 4th July and of course America are celebrating Independence day, to all my American readers have a great day!

Anyway back to my point I remembered it was also the Calendar Man event as well in Batman Arkham City. So sorry for the lack of early reminders but still got until the end of the day to go visit him and listen to his latest gruesome story.

If you not done this before basically you need to speak to Calendar Man in the game on twelve separate days, one for each month of the year to earn the achievement/trophy. He can be found locked up in the court house basement, access can be gained by going through a door outside at the back of the court house. Speak to him to listen to his story then when he sits back down go find a checkpoint to save up, there is one if you leave the court house. Also there is a wall calendar by the cell which will cross out the months that you have done so far to help keep track plus all the dates are circled of when you need to visit him but just talking to him again and he will give you clues to the next day.

So that's it folks and I will be catching up with him later myself once I've finished work and yes I will be doing a MMO night as long as everything goes to plan (famous last words).

Quick Weekend Update

Good Morning,
Thought I would give a few posts done this morning while I wait for my TV to stop recording, although I am thinking about doing some PC gaming and playing Pokemon on the DS. Sorry about the lack of posts lately but I've tried to put as much as my spare time into gaming so I can get some games completed finally. Still got all the E3 posts to go up along with the redesign of the blog that I have in mind, plus several other smaller posts that I want to do, plenty to do with little time to do it.

Don't forget folks to jump on Batman Arkham City for Calendar Man today, don't want to wait another year to do it legit. So my plans for today are Minecraft followed by trying to finish off the Jin campaign in Dynasty Warriors 7 and maybe another mission in Ghost Recon Future Soldier. I do really want to play Starcraft 2 on the PC since I've been watching several tournament videos but will have to see on the time.

So that is really it folks for me today, I might attempt to get some of those posts up today but will have to see. Hopefully you all have a great Sunday planned out with plenty of gaming involved, until next time have a good one!

Reminder Two Events

Morning Folks,
Nearly forgot again myself but this Sunday is Father's Day and also another date with Calendar Man on Batman Arkham City.

So if you working towards the achievement or trophy make sure to set a reminder, if you never done this before you can find Calendar Man in the basement of the courthouse. Access to the basement can be found through the back door outside. You need to visit him once a month on specific dates for one year, there is a calendar on the wall next to his cell with the dates circled. Just make sure to talk him on those dates to hear a hear story from him which will be related to that date (the date usually falls on a event like Valentines day or Christmas) then once hes done make sure to hit a save point (going through the back door to the outside will do a auto save). When you come back on different days as well, the wall calendar should have the month scribbled out to show you have done it and once you done all twelve the achievement/trophy will be given and that's it.

The second event is for Pokemon Black and White, the original Victini download is back up again, its for the English version of the game only. Also if you downloaded Victini back in December then you cannot do it again, comes with the special moves V-Create and Fusion Flare/Fusion Bolt too. You have until June the 26th to download it so don't delay, I will be doing it later for Pokemon White although I just realised I've barely started the game so expect another entry in the Pokemon Journal soon.

Weekend Events

Morning folks,
Sorry for the lack of posts this week but I've been addicted to Minecraft on the Xbox 360, in fact I will be on there again in a bit but first I need to take care of a few things. I will have some posts up in the week talking about my adventures and plenty of screenshots as well, anyway lets get back on topic and its the fun pact weekend today.

First up its Calendar Man day again in Batman Arkham City (Mothers Day in America), so don't forget to visit him in the basement of the court house. That's one more date done towards the achievement or trophy and the next one is June 17th Fathers Day (America) so make sure to mark your calendars after you done listening to his tale.

Next up is the last multiplayer operation in Mass Effect 3, this time the community goal is to kill 3 million Banshee's which will unlock a pack in the week. The personal goal is once again complete a gold challenge map which I don't see myself doing so I'm not going to bother (took me 10 hours plus with a friend just to do a silver). I'm also hearing the PlayStation 3 users can take part in this one but I'm not sure if that is true or not.

Finally Gears of War 3 weekend event is Torque Bow Tag under the versus Forces of Nature list, you will need to have the forces of nature dlc maps to play this event. It's team deathmatch and only one round long so it won't take too long to get the ribbon, just play until the end.

Morning folks,
Hope you all having a good Easter and getting plenty of chocolate in the process, just an heads up but there are several Easter gaming events today.

Gears of War 3 as put up x2 exp weekend with classic horde set up, harder beast mode and the good old Easter shotgun match with the creepy Easter bunny masks again.

Mass Effect 3 as got another Operation running this weekend, Operation Beachhead is providing +25% extra experience to all matches so it's another good time to get some levelling done.

Finally World of Warcraft as started up Noblegarden for the week again, hunt down chocolate eggs for cool prizes and this year there is a new mount to be bought as well, so don't miss out.


Right I did this post really quick since I'm pretty much booked all day long, starting off with World of Warcraft this morning then I'm joining the Twitter crew for Mass Effect on the afternoon and then ending the day on Gears of War with some mates.

What's really annoying is that my Star Wars time card arrived yesterday along with Lego Harry Potter for the Vita, now I don't have time to play them today. Got the evening off tomorrow well what's left of it anyway, but I'm thinking of doing a second MMO night tomorrow along side the Wednesday one. Might jump on the Lego game as well in the morning before work because I've been dieing to play it since its launch two weeks back.

Anyway I'm off for a gaming marathon so take it easy everyone and catch you all later,

April Fool's Events

Evening folks,
Just a quick post about several gaming events that are currently ongoing, first up don't forget to visit Calendar Man in Batman Arkham City for another date. If you not done this before then basically the achievement/trophy requires you to visit Calendar Man 12 times in the year (one per month) to listen to a story, he can be found in the court house prison located through the back door entrance. Just talk to him and listen to his Aprils Fool's day story then exit the building which will cause a checkpoint to save your progress, next event is May 13th Mothers Day.

Next event is Gears of War 3 "Glowie Weekend" which is basically double experience on horde and beast mode, horde mode as been overrun with lambent as well. There is a exclusive Gnasher weapon skin and ribbon to be had as well by playing 10 rounds of Raven Down 24/7, a new play list for the next two days (ends tomorrow morning 2nd April).

Finally Infinity Blade is on sale on iTunes for today only at a cracking price of 69p/99cents!!

Calendar man Event Tomorrow

Afternoon folks,
Just realised tomorrow is St Patrick's day and that means the next Calendar man event in Batman Arkham City. So don't forget to visit him in the cells under the court house to hear another wonderful bed time tale and of course one date out of the way towards the achievement/trophy.

For me it means I will be making a quick trip home to login before heading back for work, the things we do for achievements and trophies....well the things I do anyway. Of course I know I can change the dates/times on my console but I prefer to get it the legit way.

So no doubt I be seeing lots of people playing Batman tomorrow, until then have a good one!

Plenty of posts today since I'm trying to catch up for the week and this week of course seems to be announcement week as well. Since I'm still waiting for Mass Effect 3 to arrive in the post I might as well catch up while I got the chance, no doubt I will be distracted when the game arrives.
