New Pokemon Rumour & Mew Code

Morning folks,

So tomorrow is the 20^th anniversary for Pokemon and I feel very old when I say that. Cannot believe it was that long ago, I remember watching the show before it became popular and the games hit the store. I remember importing most of the Pokemon games so I could get them months in advance. Trying to find Mew under the lorry in Pokemon Red, the Pikablu rumour and so much more.

To celebrate the anniversary there is a lot happening tomorrow, twitch streams and new products throughout. Several stores across multiple countries are giving out codes for Mew in Pokemon X/Y/OR/AS. The biggest thing is that Pokemon Red/Blue and Yellow will be on the 3DS virtual console tomorrow to download. Really cannot wait to replay them but I’m still stuck on which one to get though. Thinking Red at the moment since that was the very first Pokemon game I ever bought. 

Anyway the main for this post is the lastest announcement and rumour that happened last night.

So Nintendo have confirmed that today at 3pm GMT there will be a Nintendo Direct for five minutes concerning Pokemon. I’ve been thinking for a while it would be the announcement of the next generation of games since the latest movie has a new Pokemon not part of this generations list. 

Well yesterday a lot of domain names got registered by Nintendo for Pokemon Sun & Moon. Plus, we have logos trade marked as well, fingers crossed we going to see a new game announcement this afternoon. If this is a hoax then its a really good one because those logos look amazing.

 

I will be doing another blog post later this afternoon with the outcome of the Nintendo Direct. But for now here is a Mew Picross code for Europe thanks to the Nintendo Europe twitter account. Also here is the link for the Direct later on.

Batman Arkham Origins Collectors Edition Leaked

Looks like someone as leaked the collectors edition for the new Batman Arkham Origins game, check out the image below which looks very real and less likely to be a fake.

Look how awesome this is! soon as I saw the picture this just went straight to the top of my want list. Holographic collectors box which looks amazing plus look at the 3D steelbook case for the game. About time they did a true steelbook for the game, the Arkham City was too flimsy and easy to dent.

Of course that is probably not what you paying attention to right now and instead drooling over the figurine! Batman holding Joker in a threatening way yet Joke with the classic joke banner gun and laughing. It's brilliant and blows the Arkham City one out of the water by far. I need to make space on my shelf for this beauty, a day one must buy and I cannot wait for pre-orders to start.

Gutting though because I was trying to cut some costs down earlier since my want list is huge, another collectors edition I was not expecting. Argh why doesn't money grow on trees!

Rumour: Xbox One Games

It wouldn't be E3 without rumours going around before or in fact leaks of upcoming announcements. Last night it was posted around what could be the line up for the Xbox One console, don't take it as fact though folks since it could be a fake. No Kinect titles are listed and this is Microsoft we talking about so we should be expecting at least two-three. Also the image of the Halo game logo just looks wrong, so right now I'm 50% thinking this could be a fake but if it wasn't though then my god Microsoft could be on a winner here. So big names to talk about we have Crackdown 3 which is one of my favourite open world games ever, if they make it as much fun as the last two then my god I need an Xbox One to play it. You then got of course Halo 5 which needs to be really good after 4 being a little of a let down. Halo Spartan is in fact meant to be revealed today, not sure if it's a game or the TV series but people are saying it will be all cleared up today.

Fable 4 I'm not shocked about but I am looking forward to seeing a new one since I loved 2, 3 was brilliant as well except the ending war terrible. Hopefully they can bring back the magic and end the next one good. The thing on that list that jumps out to me is League of Legends, my god if that comes to consoles it would be awesome.

As I said though this is all rumours so not going to get excited until E3, there was a list of Capcom games announced as well. Dead Rising 3 is meant to be a Xbox One exclusive but PlayStation 4 gets Dragons Dogma 2, I think I will need both consoles at this rate. Weekend Update

Afternoon folks,
Thought it would be a good time to update you on my week of gaming and it's been pretty much Hitman dedicated this week. As you know last week I clocked the Platinum trophy for Hitman Blood Money and was undecided on what to play next, well I stuck with the HD collection and picked Contracts for the next game.

It was one of my favourite games on my PC and I've still got in my collection somewhere but I forgot how hard some of the levels can be. Anyway I'm now starting my second play through which I'm hoping to get done by the end of the weekend and then just mop all the weapons as well, so fingers crossed for the Platinum trophy by tomorrow. A lot of people say you can do it with one play through and then mop up but my god you make it a lot harder for yourself doing it that way.

You have to beat the game on Professional then get Silent Assassin ratings on all the levels to get the bonus weapons for the collection trophies. That's hard enough but then you got to get the weapons on each level which usually means gun fighting off through the level so on Professional that's insane since NPC's have extra and deal a ton of damage.

I've gone with the first play through on Professional with the 5 Silent Assassins ratings so that nailed me six trophies since the difficulty trophies stack. Now my second run through is on normal and again all the way through getting Silent Assassin on every level then I can reselect the maps to pick up the missing weapons. A lot easier and overall probably not that much longer time wise as well.

After this game I'm probably going to work on Hitman 2 Silent Assassin but that will take me a lot longer since I've heard the difficulty trophies don't stack so you have to complete the game three times. Hoping to put some MMO time today at some point since I've not been on in the last week, Old Republic I've not touched in weeks and I'm not bothering to renew the subscription at this point since I'm just wasting money on it.

Anyway that's it for small update today and I'm going to head off to play some more games, I won't make a promise but I do want to get another post up later so check back to see but until then have a good one.

P.S. Just read that it looks like Activision will be announcing the next Call of Duty this week, looks like a Gamestop display instructions was posted up saying for the 1st May. Should be interesting to see what they say after that huge leak last with the box art.

Rumour: Call of Duty Ghosts

Over the past few weeks the name Call of Duty Ghosts has been going around, claiming to be the next game in the series this year. Normally we don't pay too much attention to this but when several retailers make the mistake to put it up for order well then you have to take notice. Of course sometimes retailers do jump the boat a little early and put up preorders for games not announced that never happen in the end but in this case it's a little different.

Tesco not only put it up but with the box art picture as well, so this rumour is probably the real deal.

So it looks Modern Warfare has been dropped but its still being done by Infinity Ward, there was a date of 31st December but a second retailer let it slip as well later on with the date 5th November. So MCV believes the December date is a placeholder one. Either way so people made a big mistake to put this up, check out the link below for MCV story who first caught the details.

Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flags

Morning,
Well I was not expecting to come home from work yesterday to find Ubisoft had confirmed the rumours was true and that Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flags is the next game in the series. The box art shown yesterday morning in my rumour post is the real box (see below) and that the full details will be out on Monday 4th March.

Interesting thing is the full box artwork that they put up did show the PS3 version will get an extra 60 minutes of game play like last year with AC3. Also they have confirmed it's for current generations since both artwork going around is for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Anyway the official Facebook page for Assassin's Creed confirmed late last night there will be a trailer on Monday for the new game.

So thing's will be exciting on Monday, cannot wait to see the new game. I've been wanting a great pirate game for a long time and the Assassin's Creed 3 naval combat features where the best around so this could be awesome on a new level. Any of you tempted yourself for it?

P.S. Rumour Alert - VG24/7 Just posted up saying there was a slip up on the official website giving a release date for the game as 29th October. But here is the interesting point though it says "Coming to next-generation consoles October 29th", so this could be on next generation consoles and we could be seeing the new consoles in late October? time will tell.

Rumour: Assassin's Creed 4 Box Art

Just about to leave for work and this beautiful picture appears up on twitter thanks to CVG.

Rumour is this is the box art for the latest game and was leaked on the Ubisoft forums, looks very legit to be honest. I love the new Pirate Assassin's logo on the flag in the background, anyway not much else as been leaked since my post yesterday. Hopefully everything will be clearer next week since the embargo is meant to be this Monday coming up, well if we are to believe all these rumours anyway.

Rumour: New Assassin's Creed Game

Evening,
Interesting rumour going around last night about the new Assassin's Creed game, it was confirmed a few weeks back there would be a game this year. Shortly after the title of "Black Flags" was making the rounds and saying it would be a pirate theme setting for the game. I loved the ship battles in Assassin's Creed 3 and would love a pirate game using the features.

Well Kotaku last night put up a post with a picture of a so called leaked photo of the promotional poster for the game. Now normally I'm not that big into rumours but this looks pretty impressive and if it is a fake then fair play to them.

So there it is and I really hope it is true, according to the article which can be found linked here, that it will be announced next Monday (4th March) since the posters are meant to be up on store walls then. I will be glued to my Twitter feed waiting to hear the announcement to see if it's true.

Whoa I just accidentally clicked my MCV uk link on my browser and there as been another leak with more details and a screen shot? looks like this is getting more real by the day.

The new character is Edward Kenway who is the father of Haytham and Grandfather to Connor from Assassin's Creed 3. Caribean looks to be in the game thanks to the screen shot map and the embargo meant to be lifted on Monday which ties in with the Kotaku rumour. Wow this is getting silly, each post I'm reading is linked to another with more information and it looks like Ubisoft is having a Assassin's Creed Press Conference today. Wonder what that could be about lol

Pre-E3 Rumour: Final Fantasy XV

Another rumour concerning Square Enix as popped up over on the website MCV, a well known site for UK Gaming Business news. This time it shows a behind closed doors video of a conference announcing Final Fantasy XV and that in fact Versus XIII was the code name for it, this would explain why there as been no news in ages about the illusive Versus game.

Check out the source link below to watch the trailer on their website and see what you think, if this is a fake they did a good job of it that's for sure. Anyway guess the answers will be clear on Monday along with the Hitman HD collection.

I would buy the next Final Fantasy game but then I remember I still got to finish XIII and start XIII-2.

Pre-E3 Rumour: Hitman HD Collection

Over on CVG they have posted up that a retailer is listing a HD Collection for the past Hitman games for the PlayStation 3, games include Hitman Blood Money which I really enjoyed. Hitman Contracts which as to be my most favourite game of the series and the one that got me into the Hitman games and the second Hitman game Silent Assassin.

Of course this is just a rumour with out Square Enix's confirmation but I really do hope its true, guess have to wait for the conference on Monday. I will gladly pick this up if they do make it though, having Contacts in HD on the consoles would be excellent.
