Afternoon folks,
I cannot believe we only have about what two maybe three days before it's E3. Time has really flown by this year and I cannot wait to see what exciting announcements will happen this year. But of course it's not all happening Monday, it's the lead up to E3 so there is usually announcements and leaks so I want to get this post in with a few new things that has happened over the last few days.
First up Witcher 3 had it's own conference where you got to see some amazing gameplay and a really nice collectors edition was announced as well. Check out the full conference below...
So what do you think? I never really sat down with the Witcher series in the past but I have heard some really amazing things about them. I think this one I will have to give it a shot and I am tempted for that nice collectors edition, little expensive though is the problem. I just love the amazing artwork on the steelbook and the huge figurine, not sure where it would go though since my shelves are full right now with mostly Assassin's Creed. Still got work out where the new Assassin's Creed figurines will go this year.
Luckily though it's not coming out until 2015 so plenty of time to decided on if I want to get it or not, probably the only time I will say I'm happy about a game coming out next year.
Onto the next game which is Battlefield Hardline which has pretty much been confirmed now, launch trailer was posted up by EA the other day giving a taste of whats to come. They did put in though its coming this October so I was a bit shocked about that, I thought we would not see another Battlefield this year. Anyway check out the trailer below to get an idea of things to come but so far all the rumours about the game is coming true.
Will I get it? not sure right now, it does look like a cool upgraded Payday game but I really want to see more of it before I say I will buy it. Not sure about tagging the Battlefield name to it though? why not just stick with the Hardline title.
That's it for this post and I will try for another post or two tomorrow if I can get the time, if not then it will be on Monday. Until then have fun folks and I will see you all soon.

Sequel Shock
I was not expecting to see this at all but earlier on a online retailer accidentally leaked a new Homefront game. It's one thing that makes me wonder is why the hell do publishers give their upcoming unannounced games information to retailers so early. So they can get the pre-order ready to go live on the minute of announcement? why not send the information has the game gets announced, does a day or two after for pre-orders to start really matter that much?. Save your game getting accidentally leaked all the bloody time, most leaks now are thanks to retailers and their staff. Amazes me really but anyway so yes there was a leak saying Homefront 2 was to be announced at E3.
I played and completed the first game which was just average in my books, gameplay was ok but the story I could not fully get into. Concept was good but there was something that annoyed me about it but not going into the debate about it. Anyway the game was traded in and to be honest I was not going to give the series another look unless something amazing happened.
Well of course THQ is gone and Crytek/Deepsilver are now running the show and got to say the trailer for this one looks amazing.
So Homefront: The Revolution is set four years after and will be open world, information posted up says you can do co-op to work as your own resistance cell to fight back and the world reacts to your actions. If all this is true and is done right it could be amazing! imagine running hit and run missions to weaken certain points. Supply attacks to weaken their bases then going in for the final push. Never thought I be excited to see a sequel to Homefront but I cannot wait for next week to find out more about this game.
What do you think readers? will this be a buy for you or a to watch?

Pre-E3 Announcements Part Two
Afternoon gamers,
It's time for another update although I will warn you that I am really tired right now, lack of sleep and having to get up early for yesterdays expo (UK Games Expo - Board/Card/Dice Games) has left me needing some sleep. So I thought before I try to do some gaming today that it would be a good idea to do a blog post or two, catch you up with my gaming and of course talk about the latest announcements.
So welcome to the second part of my Pre-E3 Announcements posts, in the first one I talked about Batman Arkham Knight, Farcry 4, Halo 5 and a possible HD collection for the Halo series (post can be found here). To start this post off I thought I would begin with the latest announcement and go with the new Lego Batman 3 game. We all knew there would be a new Lego game this year and possibly be even two but it was a guessing game. I'm still holding out that they will do a Lego Simpsons game which would be my game of the year if they did it (please please please make it!!!) but anyway last week the Lego Batman twitter account started teasing some pictures. Didn't take too long to work out it would be a new Lego Batman game but the real question was what would the story be. Still early days but check out the trailer below and it seems to be we going into space and if you listen careful you can hear the Joker laughing, really thought we would have the Lantern Corp. storyline or something but oh well still going to be great.
Guess we should expect to see more at this E3 which is only a week away now! seriously shocked how fast time does fly. So with Lego out of the way let's talk about the latest leaked game and that's Battlefield Hardline. It's a shame this got leaked because I don't think anyone would had seem this game coming. Hardline is cops vs. robbers with the Battlefield engine, it will have a singleplayer campaign that will act like a TV episode show with cliff hangers at the end of levels. Multiplayer looks intense with bank robbies, hostage rescue and a lot more. This could do really well if it's pulled off right and not just a general standard shooter.
Well this information was from the leaked game play trailer that had been taken down so I cannot link it to let you watch, the trailer was for internal and several months old so it could be all changed by now. Either way if it's done right it will be on my want list this year and hopefully I can rope a few friends in to play. Let's end this post with one more game that was announced a few weeks back and of course that was the new Pokemon games.
Although they technically not really new since it's the remake of Ruby and Sapphire, no game play has been shown just yet though. Going to have to wait until E3 I'm guessing for that along with any information of the game since Nintendo have only shown the cover art and that the release is November 2014 worldwide. I really thought we would be seeing the third instalment for X and Y since every other game set has one, well technically Black/White had a third instalment split but it was still the the third for that series.
So there we have it for this post, two great games lined up for this year and a possible new type of Battlefield from EA this year that could be amazing if it's done right. Could be a great E3 this year!! just hope no more push backs to 2015's with the game launches.

Pre-E3 Announcements Part One
Morning folks,
With E3 just around corner it's that time of the year where everyone starts announcing new games, show off trailers and of course good old rumours/leaks. So to catch up I decided to do a post series on everything so far and then I should be caught up (fingers crossed). Going to start off with Ubisoft announcing the Farcry sequel, Farcry 4 of course.
Few of my friends was shocked this got announced before E3 but to me it was a brilliant idea, stops people leaking it just before the event. They confirmed it existed and will be present at the conference with all the details, stops a troll from doing a big leak and trying to get a little fame for leaking a big announcement.
Anyway so yes we have a sequel which I will admit I was shocked to see, did not think there be another Farcry just yet. I still not played the third one yet and I do own it thanks to PlayStation Plus, think it's going to be one of those games I need to make time for this summer. Feel like I'm missing out but I got some time before this one comes out since it's slated for start of next year. There are some rumours about leaked story details etc. but I'm not holding my breath about them, wait until the E3 trailer.
So that's one announcement done so what's next? hmm so much to choose from so how about the new Batman Arkham trailer.
How good does that look? I'm talking a serious Game of the Year contender for 2014. Batmobile gameplay looks amazing and Arkham Knight at the end? badass. This is on the top of my list to buy for day one and I cannot wait to see more at this E3, hopefully some very cool limited editions as well will be shown. Would love a Batmobile figurine this time around oh man that would be amazing.
Right I need to continue on and going to end this part of the series with Halo of course, like Farcry they did a small announcement. The image below was put up confirming the full title Halo 5 Guardians and that the game is slated for Fall 2015.

If you remember my old posts I did say I was worried that a lot of the announcements would be for 2015/2016. So having both Farcry and Halo saying 2015 I was really worried, I really do not want to go a full year with only a few games. Don't get me wrong there are good amount of games coming out but it has been months since the launch of the new consoles and the releases have been quiet. Don't want to wait another year to get a good line up of stuff to play.
Anyway shortly after this a rumour started appearing which could explain why this is slated for next year. Halo HD remastered edition, the rumour slates that Halo 1/2/3 and 4 was coming to Xbox One. Now it's just a rumour right now but that would make a ton of sense, the Halo series is spread across two consoles and some people might had not played the first two. So releasing the full set for the new Xbox to allow everyone to try it out and catch up before they release 5 would make a lot of sense. Have to wait and see what E3 will reveal but I would be shocked if they didn't because Microsoft do not have that many exclusive for this year. Especially with their big guns like Gears of War only just been started and Halo 5 next year.
I will be adding Halo to my list to get since I'm fan of the series although I don't remember finishing number two, I do own it for the PC but just cannot remember getting to the end. I know I've done everything else though, have to fix that.
Well that's it for part one folks and are you guys looking forward to these games? all of them are on my want list except Farcry which is on my watch list. Probably will be added to my want list once I've started 3 or seen a trailer.

Only a month to go
E3 2014 is just around the corner and I cannot wait to see what happens. I will admit this year I'm a little worried that we will see lots of great games only to be told next year or 2016. Disappointed will not describe me if that happens, the line up since the release of the new consoles has been a bit quiet so it needs a good boost soon, glad that in twenty days we have Watch_Dogs to dig into.
Right now for me I have three games I really want to see this year and they are, Uncharted 4, Battlefront and Mass Effect 4.
EA confirmed yesterday that Battlefront will be making appearance this year at the show, really hoping it will be their shooter this year since Battlefield only came out last Christmas and Medal of Honor was shelved. I loved the first two games and I really hope they can bring that greatness to their version.
Uncharted 4, you don't need me to describe why I want to see this game! the series is awesome and to be honest I was shocked we did not get this game in the launch window for the PlayStation 4. It would had done really well but I'm guessing the time factor got in the way plus all the employees that left didn't help. So I'm hoping we will see this game finally at E3 and get a date for it, again I would love to see it this year.
Finally Mass Effect 4 which just needs to come out! another one of my favourite games series up there with Assassin's Creed. Over the last year we have seen plenty of teasers pictures and I think it's time we saw a trailer and a date.
Come on folks make this Quarter 4/Christmas one of the best gaming launches ever!

P.S. Expect some more posts about E3 leading up to the event
