The Daily Grind - Day Sixteen

Afternoon,
Busy day so far and wish I had more time, how's things for you guys? hope you having a good weekend of gaming.

So what's my plans you wondering, well I've got blog updates, E3 updates, gaming and stuff to do in my room as well so when I say it's busy, it really is. Before I get on with anything I must update Dragaknight stats! the page is finally working today so I can see the posts again.

All done, blimey he is getting through that goal quite fast. Stands on 12 of the 40 which is 30%, might had not hit the 20 by June goals but the end of year will be easy.

Game last night started taking orders for the Mass Effect 3 collectors edition, ordered straight away lol but only just noticed now that they listing a bonus mission and character included. It just keeps getting better and better, seriously cannot wait for next year.

Since I'm on the topic of new games, there is a new trailer for Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines. Reveals Chaos! and my god the combat looks amazing in it!

Also this morning my mate Galerian on twitter made me aware of a game I'd missed while watching E3. Kingdom of Amular reminds me a lot of oblivion which is a good thing in my books, watch the trailer below to see what you think. I was sold in the first few minutes and then seeing the crafting system and those mage scythe weapons was just the icing on the cake.

Just watched a Live Action Trailer for Mass Effect 3, looks awesome!!!!

Ok here we go, Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights E3 trailer. Might remember this in my posts ages ago for upcoming games, pretty much Professor Layton really but still looks awesome. Hmm ok the embed link is not working for this either, check out the trailer on Nintendos Magazine site here.

Ok time for a breather from all these trailers, think I'm going to jump on the PlayStation 3 and start Batman first. Need to clock my rental and get it sent back before these weeks become months.

Well that was the shortest install or could be the fact I was flicking through several websites and not paying attention to the time. Hate the whole installing/updating taking ages on the PlayStation 3.

Time for my fifth play through, feels weird on the PlayStation controller though.

This is one of the best games ever made, it's just so easy to jump in and out. The game play can be both stealth and combat. It's just flawlessly made! Anyway the Joker as made his daring escape and I'm currently hunting him down, still quite earlier on in the game but already earned a few trophies.

Ah finally the first Titan, this is the start of the main game now :) ohh first upgrade too, has to be the inverted take down. One of my favourite all time moves in this game

Time to track down Bole and find Gordon

You know after all these fights with Batman you would think they would know dropping a evaluator on him won't work. Time for some climbing them! ah my first hidden message of "spirit of arkham".

Trying to get the x10 combo but they just won't get back up lol anyway got to love the bad guys in this game. "Batman won't stand a chance" and yet I'm already behind them taking them out one at a time silently, anyway about to do my first giant room where you got to take down all the guards. Love these areas

Soon as I got through the vent took my first guard down by sneaking behind him, quickly got on top of the outpost and jumped through the window in the roof to take down the second. Less than five minutes and already they down two :-D love this game!

Finally one down through the window in the roof again, ohh second wave :) bring it!

All done and my second upgrade and going to go with the armour upgrade, always need health when I get into brawl.

Oh dear Bole is down for the count lol like we did not see that coming, :) ah good old Ridder just made his first radio broadcast. Anyway I'm already collecting the riddler trophies, recordings and solving the riddles as I'm going through the game.

Finally made it outside and still on the hunt for the Commissioner Gordon, off to the car to get some explosive gel.

Hooray! combo x10 thanks to the guards outside the medical wing

Got my first trophy for collectibles, I'm on a roll today...and another upgrade, going to pick up the auto detection on the explosive gel. always good for a trap.

Finding this game a lot easier thanks to all the play through, keep taking down multiple guards at the same time using several traps all at once. Going to take a few minutes break

Back with a cuppa! cannot rescue doctors and stop super villains with out a cup of tea at hand.

Well I've saved the doctors and ambushed the patrol that came up from the lower floor, just picking up trophies and taking joker teeth before head down. Got another upgrade as well thanks to the fight, going to take the second armour upgrade since I know later the health will come in handy with the long titan fights.

Ah Scarecrow time! love these boss fights with him.

First run in with Scarecrow is over, time to continue the search.

Wow I'm father in then I thought, on the bit where you have to stealth your away through the room taking everyone out then take on Harley which leads into the boss fight with Bane. Time really does fly when you having fun.

Just unlocked the second collectors achievement while I was in the middle of taking down a guard, found a riddler trophy in the vent behind him.

Well that's Gordon free, Harley taken down and Bane defeated not bad if I don't say so myself. Right another upgrade for all that work which I'm going to pick up critical combo strikes. Time to head to the batcave, going to pick up as many collectibles as I can on the way so the clean up job later will be quicker.

All done with the Bat cave and now have the batclaw, right time to find the good old doctor Young. Making my way through the catacombs and thanks to solving some riddles I've picked up the third armour upgrade so my health should be sweet from now on.

Made it to the surface again but found some sniper towers, hate these things with a passion.

Got past them and several teams of thugs but caught by the second set of towers and lost of my health.

Inside the mansion now so time to find the good doctor, dang! just got a x15 combo was so close to the 20. Anyway just went into one of the side wings and found a ton of riddles etc so got another upgrade so I've got the last armour upgrade. Got to say I'm flying through the game today, might put Uncharted on hold till I finish this since I think I could get it done in a day or two.

Was a bit sloppy with that fight but had to chuckle at the end since the riddler said I was doing so well I could help look for his socks next time.

Made it to the archive wing and currently causing chaos by dropping from the gargolys and hanging up the thugs. Just setted up a few explosives on the walk ways, hopefully it will catch a few thugs for me since they don't want to split up.

Dang the double explosive didn't work!

Finally got them all by doing quite a few gliding take downs then retreating quickly, also picked up another collector trophy on the way. Thanks to that I'm now 50% towards level 12 which is one of my goals this year, very chuffed about that.

Second scarecrow fight time! even though I'm quite far in, I know I've still got a quite bit left to do. Going to stop in a bit once I've finished this boss fight to get on with some tasks I need to do.

All done and got an upgrade for my trouble so picked up the sonic batarang, good for tricking thugs to traps. Right that's it for now, time to get on with some tasks and while I'm at it get another drink. See you all soon

Well I'm back and to be honest really want to do a bit more of Batman, really getting into it.

So time to find the good old warden and Harley again

Found the warden and now have the Cryptographic Sequencer, what a mouth fall! anyway taking a small mini break to make some tea.

And I'm back, noodles for tea so now full and ready for some more gaming. Time to go find Harley and finish her off for good.

Just did the huge fight on top of the cells and sucked a little since lost a bit of health but did get enough exp to do another upgrade, so upgraded the power of the sequencer. Later on there are few control panels that take some time and can be a problem.

Phew, hate that timer with the gas bomb and having to deactivate three control panels and save two guards. Done now so back on the hunt!

Love this game but think the thing I do hate about it is that you spend way too much time in detective mode and don't really get to see the beautiful graphics of the game much. Don't get me wrong I love the idea of detective mode, it worked well just wish there was mode balance.

Just locked her up and really did enjoy that fight this time around, hate having to keep jumping from each platform before getting shocked while at the same time fighting tons of goons. Used explosive a lot though to thin them down. Anyway time to go find the titan facility

Ohhh another upgrade, blimey I'm leveling up quick today...hmm thinking the sonic batarang upgrade that makes collars explode. Could be useful in the room clear out missions.

Never noticed that before, just outside on my way to the gardens and noticed one of the crazy inmates sitting on top of the statue head of the warden.....lol batarang soon sorted that

Working my way through the gardens right now, done quite a few riddles a long the way. Had to laugh at the opening room, filled all the gargolys with hanging thugs. Anyway got another upgrade so increased the range of the sequencer.

So that is it for now, going to go watch a film that I've had on rental for two weeks lol.

Film was ok but not great, just came back on to post this up but before I opened the blog noticed a update on MMO champion. Seems a new loot staff for druids in the next patch turns cat form into a fire cat when in combat. Looks awesome!

The Daily Grind - Day Fifteen

Evening all,
Been a very very long day but I can now relax and chill since off tomorrow, woooooottt!! so to celebrate going to finish Resistance 2! bring it on!

Just watching the credits now, what a game! the ending was awesome and very happy I decided to give a good go. Best few hours well spent! looking forward to seeing Resistance 3 now

So better update my challenge stats, give me two seconds while I look up how many trophies I earned.

Right the winning numbers are: 1 gold, 1 silver and 12 bronze trophies which to be honest doesn't seem a lot. Shame but was still worth every minute though! So just going to add that to my 2011 progress and update all the lists to say I've finished this game. According to my list this was number 27 for completed games this year, very chuffed just wish the last few months had more completed games like the first couple.

Ok that's all the challenges updated, one of my goals this year is to finish fourteen old games and now on four down with ten to go. Getting there! and the summer classic challenge as started with 1 of the fourteen down.

Need to update Dragaknight stats but facebook won't load for me to see the stats, have to wait till later to do that. Anyway time to think about what to play next, thinking I might work on two games. Want Uncharted to be my next game since I want to see if this series is to my liking, really don't want to go and order Uncharted 3 collectors edition or Uncharted for Vita if I won't like the series. Now the second game is my rental Batman, I want to play Batman but wanted to wait until after Uncharted but since it costs me to rent I'm going to attempt to work on both.

Anyway that's later, right now going to take a breather!

The Daily Grind - Day Fourteen

Good morning one and all,
It's a beautiful day today and my hopes are high, why do you ask? well I'm hoping I be getting a call while at work to say my iPad 2 is ready to be picked up. Seriously cannot wait!

Anyway back to gaming, last night I did mess around with my 3DS and the streetpass again. Picked up four hits but still no more new puzzle peices yet, but did complete another three rooms on street quest with one ghost with a shield, one armoured ghost and two blue ghosts down for the count. Nothing for the Pokedex and from what I can gather you get three random Pokemon sent through the StreetPass Nintendo Wi-fi?? per day. Getting very confused with how this works but going to give it a another shot today


While I'm waiting for my lift to work been browsing the net, keep eyes open to see if any stores have picked up the collectors editions that where announced at E3. Also just checked out Bullestorm's achievement guide, very tempted to attempt a few of the achievements I'm missing.

Ah my lift is almost here, time to go so see you later and hopefully will be updating with my iPad...knowing my luck tuesday next week

Just about to check my 3DS, ohh four hits today with a puzzle piece this time, which as finished the Metroid Other M Panel. SWEEEEETTT now on four panels finished, Super Mario Bro's, Zelda and Kirby are the others. Time for street quest

Results are one blood ghost down and one room finished too, so not bad. Ok just closed down the street pass menu and my Pokedex icon as a blue light light up?? maybe I've got new content! woot I have new data waiting. Finally got a Mandibuzz lol what a horrible looking thing.

Well that's the 3DS updated, so I'm going to chill and play some Resistance. Really want to try and get that last level finished!

Ok so I've took over the mansion house again, this time I ran around the top floor while dodging hundreds of auger bullets. Of course soon as I finished clearing the enemy wave got the check point and something huge is now outside. Ok it's called a marauder according to the radio chatter, don't like the sound of that. DANG! the auger just picked it up through the wall, that's one huge beast! Ok new plan going to shoot rockets through the windows at it since there is no way am I going outside with that thing!

woot! four rockets and its down for the count, not as tough as I thought it would be. Onwards to go support the squads

Well that did not last long since just died, there are three titans attacking some houses where I need to be... make that a second death thanks to the floor vanishing underneath me

Third attempt was the charm and made it to the house full of rockets but died again, attempt two!

SWEET! one well placed rocket took out two of them and then finished the last one off with auger fire!

Ok that victory message was too soon, retreat!! just got on the river boat and was clearing the bottom floors, got to the top and found a titan??? thought I had killed it!

Never mind its a new one that as spawned to the side. Just taking pot shots at with a standard rifle lol this will take a while.

Well 180 bullets and its down for the count but now got the lovely job of escorting the bomb which as now turned out into an all out street war. Keep running out of ammo too quickly as well which really doesn't help, but got to say this game rules so far! so looking forward too Resistance 3 now.

Moving up now, I'm guessing I've got to be at least half way through now since we talking about setting up the bomb. WOW just looked up and there is one huge fleet of Chimera ships above and I think the flagship is right above me, if it's not then that's one big normal ship. No wonder we losing the war with that firepower coming after us.

Ok so task is to capture a shuttle for the bomb, of course working are way through a swamp...so no doubt those bugs, invisible things and grims will be meeting me soon. Ah a pipe to walk into..bets on bugs!

Guess what I was right! lol good thing I was ready with spike grenades ....big open ground when exiting the pipe now...got to be invisible chimera next.

yup died from one while reloading my gun, bad timing that!

Ok killed four of them this time around but could be more, standing in swamp water with three of my five man squad left. Quite nerve racking lol looking for moving water or sounds of stamping

ah feck! two more, scared the life out of me...another one lol going to have an heart attack at this rate.

Time to take out the outpost and there's one thing that annoys me, auger fire from the enemy is constant. Ever heard of thing call reload! Need to get me one of those rifles and get some revenge.

Break time me thinks, I need a cuppa and this small outpost is clear. Meeting up with the other squads now, so no doubt huge fight is going to happen next.

Back with a muller corner yogust, the food of gaming pro's lol anyway back to the gaming. So basically the squad as gone up a lift to find the shuttle which of course has lead to a ramp with several giant waves charging down at us, followed by two titans right after the wave.

Currently one is dead while the other as me trapped with no ammo, hoping my squad will finish him off ... dang spike grenade got me in the end.

Second attempt worked, all down and now fighting my way to the top. Just realised my time is short and got to go meet the girlfriend out of work soon. Time flies while having fun!

This is it, landing on the main ship with the bomb...its end game time!

Dang titan and auger rifle toops are nasty to fight against, just staying far back and snipering while my squad mate uses his mini gun to finish them off or to provide cover for me.

Control room now so hopefully finishing soo but think I'm going to run out of time. Might get my stuff ready now and then can game until I got to leave. Ok from this point I'm going to stop talking a step by step of the game, don't want to spoil any more of the game for you.

Finished the control room but got to stop to go catch my bus now, dang sooooo close! I know I will finish it in about 30 minutes ... back from work tomorrow afternoon so will clock it then. Anyway thanks for reading my madness

The Daily Grind - Day Thirteen Part Three

It's not over yet people :)

So before I continue with any more E3 stuff I'm going to do some more Resistance, with the knowledge I've got less than two levels to do I'm really excited to finish. So be warned there will be spoilers as I play

Dang, meeting up with my team but going through a room full of grim pods...wonder if these are non spawners just to make you tense.

Non spawners phew! was getting a bit nervous there...met up with the squad but got ambushed, really should move more

Dead again, with my squad now taking on tons of chimera but one snuck up behind me while I was snipering

Shield drone and no ammo, that's my luck alright .... actually luck as changed, my squad got the shield down and I find some sniper ammo.

Lol here we go, room opened and full of grim pods, don't think these ones will be non spawners this time. Nope! incoming!!! wow there are loads

Ok doors are closed and three times nearly died

All out war are broken out around the tower, must be getting close to the end but got lots of question still unanswered about the story.

Dang dead soon as I jump down into the war zone, run and cover

Ok got father but got ambushed from a wave that came from behind, ok this time I know what to do...oh feck!! forgot about the invisible ones, scared the hell out of me! titan!!! talk about throwing everything at me

Ok found a rocket and took him out while playing "RUN AWAY", now armed with rockets and the mini gun wraith! :) bring it on! oh wait another titan and swarm of bugs so now nearly empty of ammo.

whoa!! hawthorn is down! nooooo


dang full on headshot and dead again, but got to love auger for these missions. Shooting through walls helps a lot and come on! "lets split up"...famous last words.

Ok I have no idea how I got through that wave, two grim exploders blew up next to me! lol

....ah feck lost another team member to the boss......

Im guessing this is the last chapter now from the looks of it and got to say I'm glad I made time for this game, its awesome!. If you into shooters you really need to give this series a try.

Taking a break, just cleared the first house and it got attacked, auger fire sprayed the roof could not dodge. Now back to the start to take the house again...*sigh*

I'm back and got less than an hour before I need to leave, so going to take the time to talk about the other announcements that happened at E3. Going to start with one of my all time favourite games, Hitman!! last night the trailer went up for the next one Hitman Absolution and my god does it look awesome. Really hope all the moves shown in the trailer will be in game because that would be brilliant, check it out below!

Cannot wait to play this game, in fact I think I need to sit down and play Blood Money again. Have been hearing reports the A.I is really impressive in it as well, calling for help, flanking etc so really need to be on your toes this time around.

Professor Layton as a new trailer up, going to check it out now but basically the next game is for the normal DS, the next one after is for the 3DS. Forgot that Japan are a major ahead and we need to catch up. This time around its a prequel and the first in a trilogy to come out, this one will be the first case for Layton and Luke. Looks good anyway and still need to pick up Lost Future

The Daily Grind - Day Thirteen Part Two

Welcome back for another tale of madness from Iznic's Dungeon!

Why do I always walk around the corner straight into a ravager with a shield lol

dang! just ran past a turret to have another ravager jump in front of me and one hit kill me

ok got him, basically charged across to make them spawn then back across so could sniper them all :-D

Ok stopped for now after I took on a spider vehicle by myself, the video as not fully loaded so going to attempt G4TV for this one and see if that will load faster. Ok it's loading now and quickly hooray!

Game Trailers - E3 2011

Main thing for me with this conference was to find out about the console and of course what they bringing out for the 3DS since the lack of games as been worrying.

So what did you think of the Nintendo Wii U?? bit of a strange name personally but ok I can live with it I guess. Would had liked to see some actual proper footage of it working and not tech demos but the concept is pretty sweet. Although I am calling it now, I doubt that the Zelda game for it will look nothing like that tech demo lol it was too good.

Ok anyway hmmm I like the pad, I like the idea that all the menu and stats are on the controller and freeing up the tv just for the game so you can see its beautiful picture perfectly. I'm in two minds with using the controller as a zoom scope in shooting games and that golf gimmick for the ball was just that a gimmick. Was surprised that the Wii controllers are still taking a huge part in this console, really though they would go all out and make all new stuff. Did like the drawing pictures they did, betting ubisoft team are not happy that their tablet might not be needed any more lol

So I guess I would get one, the idea is good but really could do with more information but not got to worry for another what?? year at least? im betting 2012 holidays at the earliest or 2013 starts. JUst hope they don't leave it too long or the next Xbox and PlayStation will be out

So 3DS line up, new mario game which looks cool, new mario kart with custom karts...sweet and a Luigi mansion which not sure what to think since I've never played the first. Ok the line up is cool but I'm not the hugest Mario fan, what happened to Professor Layton? no sign in the conference although I have heard their is a trailer up for the next one but not the 3DS version? have to check that out later.

In September Zelda four swords will be a free download for the DSi....sweet as long as I can download that to my 3DS since I don't have a DSi anymore. Also Zelda Skyward sword is out Christmas, I think it's time I sat down and gave a Zelda game a good try, never really played one except Twilight Princess but did not give it much time like most games. Although I had to laugh I really thought they would not release Skyward Sword until the Wii U was out and make it a port like they did with Zelda Twilight Princess.

Zelda gold wii remote plus...ok I guess if you a huge fan of the series, although gold colour is being used too much.

Pokedex 3D sounded pretty sweet and even sweeter when they said its free! basically scan ar codes to gather Pokemon, can use the AR cards to bring the Pokemon to life next to you or in your house. Should be a nice little fun game to prat about with, think I will be updating my 3DS in a bit.

So that's it really for Nintendo, overall I don't think personally any won the best conference this year since they where pretty much all the same. Few surprises and no real shocks really, only one that stands out was Micrsoft with the kinect games but not enough to say yeah Microsoft was the winner. So this year is a tie!

Now in a minute I will do the third post and cover all the stuff announced like EA games, Ubisoft etc with some nice trailers then update my E3 posts that I did last week. But first I'm going to update my 3DS and check out that new stuff, and I need to pop onto the PS3 to check out E3 on the Home.

Dang I did it again, let the battery die and did not check the street pass information from the last time I used it...which was ... well I cannot remember lol. Right lets see what I got, ohh four people :-D

One new Metroid puzzle piece and only two left to get now! scratch that another piece! ah dang the other two people have nothing new. Well least I'm one piece to finish now and it's time for my third play through of Street Quest, shame no more rewards from now on.

Well two rooms completed with three ghosts defeated, nice start :) right let's find this system update so I can check out the eStore. Ok my notifications tell me there is quite a few updates for Samurai Warriors Chronicles, really need to play that game. Hmm needs more battery life before the update can begin, going to leave it on charge and try out Home instead while I wait.

Just downloading the Booth area and then going to check it out, wow that quick right here we go :) nice! so got to watch all trailers to earn rewards and get into the VIP area for more rewards.

Well so far the trailers have already seen, Uncharted, Vita, Resistance etc oh well

Hmm I've unlocked a few things, Papo and Yo Frog torso and Resistance 3 Hybrid Torso armour, PlayStation network jersey ohhhh ratchet and clank t-rex companion and a sweet tooth mask just a few things got so far. Pretty sweet

Ok VIP area bit boring, ah a game i see scribble shooter....ok its alright but there are plenty of games like it. Well that's it for my adventure in Home today, going to see if the 3DS is charged yet

Update is done so checking out the store now, wow nice layout hmm Pokedex 3d first thing shown as you load in :) downloaded and now getting the 3D Classics Excitebike...this should be a laugh later

Trying out Pokedex now to see what it can do then going to end this part of the post and get on with the next.

Ok so I start with several Pokemon in my dex already, I can send and receive from friends. I can use street pass too and keep an eye out for AR Markers to scan. Sounds like a nice little collecting game, ok it seems I've got pretty much all the starting Pokemon and their evolutions already. Have to try and spot pass someone later at work

The Daily Grind - Day Thirteen Part One

Morning all,
sooooo tired ... *yawn* ok so thought I would do a head start and try to get these posts done today. Hope all of you been enjoying E3 and the lovely new announcements, I've been overwhelmed with all the new information.

So this first post will be the Sony Conference announcement and what I want from it/liked about it, and this time the video as loaded hooray! So let's get stuck in! oh that reminds me, there is a comment box so if you want to voice your opinion or talk about what you liked please do! love to hear your thoughts.

So big thing for Sony this year is the new handheld which looks stunning! still trying to like the name they given it "PlayStation Vita" though. In fact GAME have posted up the UK price yesterday at £229.99 for the wi-fi only and £279.99 for the 3G and Wi-fi, so my £10 deposit is down in store ready for it.

Watching them play Uncharted Golden Abyss really showed off what it can do, I love how you can do the simple normal controls as if you were playing a dualshock pad but at any time use the touchscreens. Simple click an enemy to do a take down, or reload by pressing the weapon icon. Actually one of my favourite parts was when they dragged their finger along the route they wanted to climb and the character followed it, that was pretty sweet. Shame they didn't show off the back touchscreen features much but guessing we will see more about that soon.

So yeah I'm sold it, but who isn't ? its a PlayStation 3 in your hands with full support! trophies too!

One thing I did like was the announcement to the introduction to 3D, a PlayStation 3D TV that will be coming out at $400 with a copy of Resistance 3 and their new cheap glasses too. Shame the TV is 24" but love the idea of the price since it's a nice way to get into 3D on a budget. Oh one more thing they did say was it can do co-op and it won't look like a split screen. Both players will see a full screen to them, now I would like to see that.

Games wise I was slightly annoyed, not in a really bad way more of a "ah dang it not another release for that month". They announced they going to do a God of War Origins HD Collection which is basically the two PSP games put on disc and brought over to the PS3 remastered with trophies (you know I love trophies) but its coming out in September.....great just had that to the rest of the pile coming out.

Of course it did not end their, they then dated the ICO collection as September too....at this point I was banging my head against the wall shouting why why why. No doubt the Last Guardian probably going to be September too. Think I might need a mortgage to cover the cost of all these games lol

Bioshock Infinite looked pretty sweet, no scratch that AMAZING looking! and they said after trying out a PlayStation Move they will be bringing support to it. Another reason to get a move, yes I did buy a move the other day but took it back. Before I opened it I did look into PlayStation Move Heroes and it did not look like what I expected so will get the controller later on. Anyway at the end of Bioshock they did say they doing a project in the Bioshock Universe for the PS Vita...sweet! cannot wait

Other games shown...let's see well a nice intro trailer for Starhawk but to be honest I was sold with the game play trailer, would like to see few more in depth game play trailers before I do buy. Resistance 3 demo looked amazing! but again I was already sold since I'm really enjoying the second one right now and want to see the outcome.

Bit torn though about Resistance 3, see I am tempted about that huge survivor edition but I wonder what the price will be and will it be worth it for the bag and few toys. Special edition will include the dlc which is just a few extra multi player skins etc with all the stuff coming out in September need to really be careful on what I spend. Then at the same time they showed off a huge move bundle for Resistance, get the sharpshooter (in the better socom grey colour), move controller, navigation controller and a copy of the standard game. Nice way to get into the Move area...so again I'm really not sure what I will do...guess wait to see announcements on what the UK is doing and prices

Uncharted 3 demo was pretty sweet but like I've said a few hundred times I need to play the first before I go and pre-order this, but to be honest from seeing all the videos and demos I can say I'm probably going to love it.

Actually there was a game that I was not sure what to think about and that is Dust 514, based in the EVE universe and a first person sci-fi shooter...really don't know what to think. Will it be a pay monthly since its being linked to EVE online??? game play looked alright but going to hold judgement to I see a lot more about it.

Also inFamous 2 looked good but never played the first one properly although I did get a free copy now thanks to the welcome back pack, will have to sit down and try it. See what my mate Adwil24 says about the second one

The Daily Grind - Day Twelve Part Two

Welcome back to the second part of today's special Daily Grind.

This time I will be talking about the Sony Conference except this time I've already seen it last night, so I will post up a link below so you can watch and just talk about what I'm excited for. It will not be like the past two where I did a step by step talk as I watched the conference.

Right before I begin to talk about what I liked I got to wait for the video to load up, want to make sure I've not forgotten anything since the last few days have been a information overload. In the mean time while this slow loading works might pop onto Resistance 2 see if I can't finish chapter five.

Hate horror levels, just had to make my way through some kind of hotel in the dark with plenty of those grims (is that the name?). Thank god for the trusty slicer, I wasn't worried about saving ammo lol

Dang a rocket just sent me flying over the bridge lmao

Loving the Bullseye II, damage is a lot better and great on this bridge fight. Currently leading several squads while taking on a garrison of chimera holding some bridge.

Oh and don't worry the video is still loading, can watch the first 20 minutes ... you can tell when E3 is on no site work properly for streaming.

ok so took the advice of gamespot, bad move "run to the left up the stairs, cover there form spiders" forgot to mention it makes drone spawn above you :) good job!

done! took 10-20 minutes but basically duck cover shoot, moved up the left knowing the drones would come then moved around to find a nice stock pile of rockets. vehicle spiders had no chance

I'm back, got like an hour so going to attempt to finish this chapter since I'm guessing the godzilla thing is in fact the boss of this level. Then when I get back from work I will do Sony's press conference then see on time if can do the rest, if not I will make them part of tomorrows.

Well that was it, chapter 5 finished and the godzilla thing is down for the count. Loving this game series so far and looking forward to the third one now. Anyway that's it for now since got to leave in 40 for work.

Whoa just saw on twitter that Zavvi are pricing Wii U at £400!!! dang lol are they joking? hopefully this is just a placeholder price since no word from Nintendo and they want to start pre-ordering ASAP. Nintendo would be insane to price it this high

The Daily Grind - Day Twelve Part One

Good morning readers,
WOW what a week so far, so many announcements and I just don't know where to begin. Yes I am sorry for the delays in posting, I was hoping to be posting every day but due to the long shifts at work that meant I barely had any time to see E3 so all my spare time went into catching up with it. So today I will be making up for the fact there as been no Daily Grind posts for the last two days, in fact since there is so much to write about I will be doing today's post in multiple posts to cover it all.

So where to begin, well its 7.47am and I am knackered (tired), should not had stayed up watching Ubisoft's conference lol. Ok so I think I will do today's post like this, there will be a post for each major conference. Won't be going into the same detail as Konami's since the conferences are two hours long, that and I don't like a lot of the games e.g Fifa. So will just cover what games I did like and what I thought of it overall.

Then I will do a post after that covering the games not in those conferences, then do an update to the "I want post" ticking off what was announced. Of course there is still couple of days left of E3 so more could be announced.

After that another updated post of the E3 list post I did, then finally decide on who had the best conference overall. So that's the plan for today! in fact going to start right now and have the Microsoft Conference below.

Xbox 360 Games - E3 2011 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

By the way I've not seen the Microsoft Conference so will be slightly like the Konami conference with me describing what I like as I see it.

So they started it off with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, good way to start I guess. Got to say though I'm happy to see another underwater mission, loved that in Modern Warfare 2 and this time you are in control of movement sweet!. Loved the whole mission they showed, making the sub surface, invading it then the high speed chase afterwards. Graphics don't seem to have changed much but why fix something broken? anyway the new story looks like it will be awesome and it will be a day one purchase for me. Still no special editions announced though, was hoping those details would be given out and no further details on COD Elite?? Well anyway November is going to be awesome!

Next up Tomb Raider! and omg wow! the graphics, the design...never seen a Tomb Raider look so beautiful. Horror survival mission this time around involving quick time events and Lara's survival instinct to work out how to solve puzzles to escape the cave. Watch the full video, look at the water and fire effects! my god and the end view of the sea with the shipwrecks! This will be a day one for me and I got to make sure I play this straight away as I get it. I be disgusted with myself if I don't give this game a chance and just let it sit on the pile of shame. 2012 game though so bit of a wait but it will be worth it

MASS EFFECT 3!!!! woot!!!

Well it's only took an hour but now got a feed, tried several sites and everyone seemed to be having a problem and some where just terrible videos. Anyway gamespot is back up so going to fast forward so can get on with my thoughts.

Right back to Mass Effect 3, kinect support was not a shock really since rumors have been around for a while but I was worried how it would be put in. But they turned my worries around, I love the voice commands in the dialogue sections adds that in depth to it. Also being able to command your allies in battle with voice can save plenty of time in the battle, in fact in the past two games I've barely used the d-pad to position my allies.

Anyway Liara is back! hooray! lol the fighting looks awesome and the new oni tool dagger is an awesome new weapon, love the mech at the end! no doubt next year I will be cursing it for my 10th death. Graphics don't seem to have changed but again like I said in COD, why change something that's not broken.

So Ghost Recon is next, bout time we learnt something about it since it disappeared off the grid months ago. Now that opening trailer is impressive, glad to see it still looks great. Kinect again I see, blimey Microsoft really getting some support for this. Love the gunsmith feature, can see myself spending a good amount of time making some awesome weapons to use. Ohhh game play shooting demonstration! I'm impressed how they got it to work without a controller. Ok I might actually pick up...dang all Tom Clancy games supporting kinect from now on? nice to see Kinect is getting plenty of love.

New Xbox dashboard again hmmm looks a lot like the Windows Phone and Windows 8 lol they really like that look. Ohhh Youtube on Xbox Live now and Bing, ok slightly impressed with the bing feature allowing you to look anything related to what you want e.g saying xmen get all movies/trailers/games that's cool and saves searching for ages through the menus. Xbox Live Tv huh? hmm wonder how much that will cost

ok now this is better, Gears 3! wow that opening video had some cool stuff in it. Ohhh new game play demo! Sea level and that boss is awesome! oohhh man I really want to play this game and yes! mechs!!!! dang what a demo! September is not that far away! seriously contender for game of the year especially with the multi player being so awesome

something new now, ok won't skip just yet but better be good. ok wow! another Kinect game called Ryse where you are in the roman age, graphics look amazing for a Kinect game and game play looks awesome. Shows kicking, slashing, shield slamming and headbutting. Might keep an eye this but dang I need more room space to play the kinect.

HALO REMAKE!!! wooooottt!! called it! fully re masted in HD, co-op campaign? yes! thank you very much! 15th November, dang christmas is getting more and more busy for gaming. Not sure how all this is going to fit in

Ok here we go now, Fable Journeys let's see what this all about this time. Ok so its a on the rails Fable game for the Kinect, was hoping for a spin off of fable 3 or even fable 4 but ok. Does look ok, not great just ok...spell casting scene is a lot better, like the gestures to make the spells they have put some thought into it. Will wait to see more because right now this is a game I will puck up in the sale or rental. Again 2012

Minecraft for Xbox 360 and Kinect?? never played it but heard it's fun, maybe I will give it a try oh wait Christmas??? dang don't they know Christmas is already jam packed

Disneyland Kinect...ok... so you go around the theme park?? don't get it ... ah now I do, mini games being shown now. on to the next!

Star Wars Kinect!!! ok so the graphics are not as bad as I thought they would be and game play looks ok but bit worried about the lag shown. Hopefully they can clean it up before the retail release

Kinect stuff again, in a way I'm glad to see it's getting some love and not a gimmick. Ok this is going to be good, now takes photos of you and makes your avatar based on you. Wow it worked, and the clothing too. New finger tracking too? lol

Ok Fun Labs look cool with the picture taking and making the pictures 3D, drawing sparkly lines is cool I guess but this is a like a party game really I wouldn't really pick it up unless super cheap or maybe a rental.

Object capture now finally? oh that's cool, the object does look like her weird teddy pillow.

Ohhh so all these new features are in Fun Labs, ok that makes the game a lot better since it will show off the new features, oh wait can get it now?? arcade game I guess? must remember to turn on the Xbox in a bit and check it out.

Video montage now, Kinect Sports 2...did not see that coming lol, ok might give it a try since they added skiing but not played the first yet. Think its still in it's delivery box by my room door

Dance Central 2? lol oh dear we not milking anything, again first one by my door in that box with Kinect Sports. One day I will open it to give it a try

Halo 4 teaser .... nice!!!! but again called it! ok what in the world is that huge thing at the end? holiday 2012...dang thats a long wait.

So that was the 2011 conference for Microsoft, some very nice new games, some surprises and plenty of stuff at Christmas. 2012 is shaping up to be another sweet year for gaming as well, really need more time and money lol.

Afternoon all,
No post yesterday since I did nothing on gaming, spent most of the day working and the rest of the evening with the family and girlfriend. This morning I've been catching up on what I've missed and done a few E3 posts which you probably already seen and read. So what's my plans for today? Resistance 2 marathon of course! and I think tonight the lads from work are doing a COD night so might be on that later. Depends if they do come on!

Ohhh that reminds me before I go on Resistance, I need to pop on Home and check out that White Knight Chronicles area. I was trying to get my PSPGo sorted last night with the welcome back free games but could not see the link in the store. Will do that first then jump on Home, lol so much to do!

Ah found it, the store is working better today and I guess less people are on today. So thinking I'm going to have Modnation Racers and Killzone Liberation, picked inFamous and Dead Nation for the PS3 ones. Hmmm 60 minute download, maybe I should had downloaded it through MediaGo first then transfer it over.

Finally updated the MediaGo software after the third attempt and its now downloading Modnations and Killzone for me, also found out I've still got 1 token left on my PSPGo Switch over offer. Going to take a look at what I can get for free, too many too choose from and most are not really what I would go. Think I will question my mates on twitter and see if I can get their opinion.

Anyway time for PlayStation 3 Home!

Well first a mini update is needed, what is with today and updates! oh wait that mini update was the pre-update before the big update. Guess some Internet browsing is in order while I wait.

It's still downloading so going to post up some more trailers I found that look amazing. First up Rage, funny thing was I knew nothing about this game until like a week ago when I saw the advertisement at the cinema. Anyway the trailer is all in game footage of a quest to stop a water well from being poisoned by some bandits, check it out below

Looks amazing and reminds me a lot of Fallout,got to say though some of the weapons are sweet. Crossbow type weapon is my favourite so far with the electric crossbow bolts and explosive bolts, ohh and that mind control was pretty sweet as well. Think I will be adding this to the games I want this year

Next up is Dark Souls...

Looks breath taking and the bosses wow, I can start to see why the first one was so hard and starting to think this game will be even worse. But I really want to try it and give it a good shot! Listed as a October release I might pick it up, not sure yet so going to add it to the maybe pile.

Darksiders 2 trailer...

Like I said yesterday and earlier this game will all depend on me finishing the first one and enjoying it, don't want to buy the second one if I hated the first. Although I got to say it does look amazing, why are all the E3 videos looking awesome

Prey 2...

Was disappointed in the first but talk about a 180 change for it's sequel, bounty hunter? lol have to wait and see for some gaming trailers next week to see how it turns out.

Well it's 4pm and I've stopped for now, going to do some updating on the site, since not updated the challenge stats in a while and I want to add the summer challenge to the site.

Took me nearly an hour but I'm finally done, kinda depressed now and wish I hadn't looked into it lol. Just updated my 2011 progress and realised I've now got a total of 34 games that are 2011 releases and only 9 completed, yeah I know! a lot! really shocked I got that many. Course I set myself a goal to finish the year with 50% completed and I'm on a shocking 26%...*sigh* the only good thing is I've finished 26 games this year at least.

Ohhh just watched the Old Republic trailer for E3 on gamespot.com, really cannot wait for this game! looks awesome, god I hope they announce a launch date finally next week.

Right break is over, time for some more gaming :) thinking Resistance but I am tempted to start up my new rental Batman, got to love that game.

Got to say I'm loving Resistance even with these annoying hard parts, the graphics are a lot better and the game is fecking sweet. Just killed the boss spider on the tower, awesome fight! and now starting chapter 3?? 4? no idea at this point lol

I do feel sorry for the chopper gunners in every cut scene, life span of 10 seconds if you manning that gun, anyway taking a small break to have another cuppa

Right I'm back, time to clear the landing zone!

This level is really peeving me off, two ravagers with shields pop through the door soon as you open it, instant death. Attempt three starting now...

*Sigh* dead again, come on who designed this bit? you really need to play the parts you design, i like a challenge but this is just overboard

...again, attempt five...at this rate I'm just going to turn it off because I'm getting too annoyed with it to enjoy it

hooray did it! soon as the checkpoint loaded i went searching and found a nice rifle with a few grenades, even with that it the last shot was very lucky as I was on the red blood screen and stuck in a corner.

ohhh the story is getting interesting now, apart from the annoying hard parts the game as turned out better then I thought.

hooray swarm is down and I'm guessing another chapter :-D wait no ... titan fight now, oh great two of them, of course! one isn't hard to kill.

Ok where do I hide, there is no place, both titans come from opposite directions blocking escape routes. Right according to gamespot guide fire two rockets at each and few gun shots should finish them off, ok worth a shot.

what the hell!! kill the first titan and die due to the fact those blasted spider leaper bugs appear and overwhelm me.

Few! done it, pure bloody luck strikes again, two rockets and 300 bullets from the wraith finished off the first one then mad panic to get rid of the leaper spiders. Luckily the second titan stayed on the opposite side of the rock allowing me time to get ready, two rockets and four grenades finished him off.

Currently jumping across car roofs in Chicago which is flooded with chimera infested waters, the graphics are amazing. Wow! what was that ? chimera godzilla in the background lol

Right I'm calling it for the day, well with Resistance anyway. Not bad since I'm probably half way through chapter five and according to the Intel list there is only seven chapters. Will finish it off in the week.

Now for some multi player action with the guys from work

Well we played Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, while getting the disc out I broke the outer case (had the steelbook one with that horrible plastic cover that holds the case and artbook in) so that really peeved me off since I like to take care of my things.

Matches went ok but the last two where shotgun spam and grenade spam to the point wasnt enjoying the game, in the end had to quit because we joined a team deathmatch and soon as the lobby loaded there was screams down the microphone. So so far COD MW2 not left it self in a positive light, honestly prefer matches with party chat so don't have to listen to idiots.

Anyway that's it for todays madness and tomorrow post will be all about E3, cannot wait!! so see you all tomorrow and have a good one.

E3 2011 - What I want

Well tomorrow is the big day and I cannot wait, although I am working till late so will be having a media blackout until I can get home and watch the conferences that I missed. Luckily Tuesday wont be too bad since I finish on the evening, so fingers crossed I can get back in time.

Anyway I've been wanting to do this post for a while but been major lazy or too busy, so I've made time to sit down and write it out today. So what would I like to see at this years E3?

Well would love Valve to announce Half-Life 2 Episode 3 and Half-life 3 or maybe even a Left 4 Dead 3 but they already said no new stuff this year, would love to see those games in my life time. So I'm hoping for the following...

• Halo HD Remake - Would be awesome to go back to the start to play in full HD
• Halo Wars 2 - I loved the first one and the RTS was pretty sweet, bring on a second! maybe do it around Halo Reach
• Halo 4 - You know its not the end, come on, look at how good Reach was!
• New Nintendo Console - I'm hoping for a strong list of games for it and it to be up there with my Xbox and PlayStation 3
• Dawn of War 2 New Expansion - This game rules and I'm hoping for more races, Necrons, Tau, Dark Elder.
• Star Wars Old Republic - Come on announce a date! or a beta date!
• Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 - More trailers, collectors editions and more on the premium online service
• Gears of War Exile - Kinect Gears, hope this is true because my Kinect needs some love
• Batman Arkham City - I'm hoping for some collector editions announcements, better then the first one and some more game play trailers
• 3DS - Some more awesome games, hopefully Professor Layton dates, the Professor Layton crossover with Phoenix Wright, some Mario titles etc
• 3DS Pokemon - That would be one awesome announcement
• Bioshock Infinite - Looking forward to seeing some more details on this
• PS Vita - Prices, Dates, Games list etc
• Mass Effect 3 - More trailers, details on how the game is going to work
• Ico Collection - Dates for European launch and details of the collectors edition
• Last Guardian - All the launch details for it and a nice new trailer
• Star Wars the Force Unleashed 3 - They need to continue it
• Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 - Would be awesome if this was announced out of the blue
• Monster Hunter - A proper one for the HD consoles, Xbox, PS3, I dont care a really good one with co-op support

That's it really, if they did all that I would be heaven, have to wait and see but only 13 hours to go! (i think)

E3 2011 - The List

Technically E3 starts tomorrow but already companies have been doing pre-conferences and pre-trailers to get people excited. Hopefully they saved some good stuff for next week since there as been a ton of announcements already. So anyway this year I'm going to do a huge ass list of things I'm excited for, things I want etc from each conference and a general misc announcement too. The list will be kept up to date through out the week with new announcements added so keep an eye out for updates, also finally at the bottom of the list is going to be the best shocking announcements list.

Starhawk 2 - Want

I know I was not a fan of the first one but that capture the flag game they had looked awesome! I love the idea you build the bases up in the game so it will always be different, and mech space fighters!

Uncharted: Golden Abyss - Want/Maybe

That developer diary looked ace, reason why I say maybe/want for this is all depends on my opinion after playing the first Uncharted. Although I got a funny feeling I'm going to enjoy this series

NeverDead - Want

Out of the blue game, have to admit at the start was a bit skeptical about the idea of a immortal character but after watching some of the game play and the main trailer I was sold.

Zone of the Enders HD Collection - 100% Want!

Just wow! Was not expecting to see that at all, loved the first one on the PlayStation 2 and did get the second runner but could never get the game to save (tried six different copies with no luck). Cannot believe it's being brought back and on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Sold!!

Metal Gear HD Collection - Maybe

Not a really big fan of Metal Gear but then again never really played them, so might give it a chance and I like the idea of being able to go back and play the original games. Shame no Metal Gear 1 though

SQUARE ENIXTomb Raider - WantI'm shocked because I was not expecting to want to play this remake of the series, I liked Legends and Underworld and when they first announced the remake I was put off. But after watching the trailer and seeing how amazing it looks I'm really excited for it now.

THQSaints Row The Third - Maybe

The Trailers look pretty good but thing is I've never really given the past ones a chance, I did get into the second one because it was a good laugh and wasn't trying to be too serious. So could do with going back completing the first two before even thinking of getting this one, then again not seen a game play trailer which could turn this into a want if it's awesome.

Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team - Want

Nice looking co-op arcade game, I'm a huge fan of the Games Workshop games so looking forward to this. The game is over the top and you control a tech marine and devastator with heavy bolter who take on a Ork Hulk ship. Boss fights look awesome in the trailer, especially the Stompa! Will be getting this on day one

Darksiders 2 - Maybe/Want

On the border with this since I really did start to enjoy the first one but again never gave it the proper time of day, so before I go getting it I think I need to repick up the first and play it. Have to admit the trailer for this one did look rather cool

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTSShadow of the Colossus HD Remake - 100% Want!

Cannot wait! seriously loved this game when it came out on the PlayStation 2 and so looking forward to playing it again. Will be awesome and hearing a limited edition could be in the works!

ICO HD Remake - Want

Never played ICO but loved the SOTC so really want to give it a play, I've got no doubt in my mind that I will love this game. So it will be a day one purchase and again I've heard threes a limited edition in the works, want!

The Darkness 2 - Maybe

This is a maybe for the time being, looks good but never really got around to finishing the first one and to be honest there are ton of better games I want. Of course its still early days and they might show off some awesome stuff for it later.

Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm - Want 100%

The two trailers look amazing! really looking forward to it and what I've done in the first one so far as been great, looking forward too Blizzcon to see more information
