Looking forward to Pokemon White and Black

I've always been a big Pokemon fan, ever since it was start showing on sky 1 back in the days (months before it became the popular thing) and since then I've pretty much bought every version that as come out. But every time I do wonder how it keeps going since all they do is add another 100 Pokemon and just move the map around with a slight improvement here or there.

So I was shocked to read about the new improvements in the new versions that are coming out the start of march.

Of course we getting some more new Pokemon, this time another 150 so a big increase compared to normal. But this time we see some massive changes:

  • Seasons have now been added, they work along since the calendar which is pretty cool so you got a reason to play all year long. Pokemon forms/colours can change depending on the season along with some Pokemon only appearing in certain seasons. Also some areas will be closed off until a season starts. So an improved night and day feature
  • New battle system, 3v3 with tactics on where you place your Pokemon since some attacks can only damage right side or left or centre etc.
  • Rotation battles where you can switch pokemon at any time without losing a turn (finally!)
  • Speech is now in bubbles above the character heads to allow multiple characters to talk
  • Massive improvements on the graphics (feel like this game was a test ready for the next version on the 3DS)
  • Double battles in the wild depending on the grass you walk through
  • New Dream World, works with the Global Link website. Basically you can find Pokemon here with abilities they do not normally have. You can also have a house here to grow berries and allow other trainers to come visit (Still looking into it this but it sounds awesome)
Overall I'm very happy with the changes, it looks amazing and it's nice to see they are trying to make the series better for the fans that just pumping out another copy and paste job. March is going to be an awesome month for gamers, especially the handheld community.
