The Daily Grind - Day Forty-Three

Saturday 16th July 2011

Afternoon all,
I know there as not been any posts for a while but I have been quite busy so not really had chance to sit down and write out a post. So far today all I've done is the daily quests for Warcraft and that's it, hoping to have a nice marathon of gaming in bit since I have the weekend off. Thinking of finishing off the rental game Megamind then starting Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, tomorrow I'm meant to be playing Starcraft 2 on the night with some mates from work so could do we booting that up again to get some practice in.

Anyway just had my lunch so going to play a few levels of Megamind first

-----------------------------------------

Just finished the game and got the Platinum trophy, it was no different then when I played it on the Xbox so that is why there is no messages from me to be honest. Its a quick easy game and can be completed in under five hours without problems. Can send this back to Lovefilm later, so time to update my stats to add this game.

Thanks to that I've not got my second Platinum trophy for the year and knocks me up to 40% towards my Golden Key Challenge goal of five platinum trophies this year. The game also gave me the following trophies: 1 platinum, 7 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze so not a bad haul this time around. In fact it doubled the gold trophies I've earned this year so far.

Right can do with a cup of tea right about now, so going to take a five a minute break.

-----------------------------------------

I'm back, before I forget again there is a trailer I wanted to talk about. The trailer is for Binary Domain, its a weapon trailer explaing some of the weapons and how best to use them. But man does it look awesome, really get a Terminator feel watching it so check it out below and see what you think.

Now what you ask? well I'm going to go test out Agarest Generations of War on the PS3, its an anime RPG that I bought ages ago. The prequel is coming out at the end of July, I was going to wait but they did announce a collector edition which is quite cheap (£29.99 instead of the normal £39.99+) but of course I don't want to order to have it arrive and find I don't like it. So thought be best to play for a little while and try out the first one and see if I do enjoy it.

In fact there's no time like the present

-----------------------------------------

As I said I was only going to play a little of it just to get a feel of the game and to see if I would enjoy it, does look pretty awesome. The audio is japanese but the dialogue is all english which was a nice touch, like the style of rpg they have gone with so going to keep my Zero pre-order.

While I was sorting out that pre-order also found out they releasing a normal edition of Xenoblade without the red classic controller which is awesome, if you remember in one of my earlier posts I was not too happy having to fork out the extra money since I had a black classic controller already. So now changing my order to the box standard normal edition which is £12 cheaper, happy days! that money can go towards something else.

Done and dusted, ordered Xenoblade and while I was doing that also put an order down for the Uncharted 3 special edition. I will cancel that order once they announce the Explorer's Edition, but just in case they change their mind and don't then least I'm covered.

Right enough ordering I think it's time to check out Warhammer 40,000 Killteam on the arcade, been looking forward to it for a while now.

-----------------------------------------

Done one mission and it was fun, played as Assault Marine (chainsaw and pistol). I enjoyed it but I don't know, think I was expecting something a little more. Maybe if I play it the way it was meant to be that I might enjoy it more, that is co-op of course. The game is clearly designed for two people but anyway I did get one achievement and because of the one mission cleared I will unlock the power sword in Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines when that comes out.

Anyway going to stop for now because I want to have a quick play on Starcraft 2 then to jump into Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, got a couple of hours spare before I need to start getting tea ready for me and Lynn.

Starcraft is currently updating since its been months since I last played, might be here a while so I could get on with writing out some of those games reviews I've been promising. Oh wait never mind the update just finished lol I will do the review later.

According to my profile the last login was the 2nd February at 00.01am dang!

-----------------------------------------

Played a skirmish match against the A.I, the whole point to was a get an idea on how the game worked to be honest. Tomorrow it's fun with the lads but I didn't want to go in with no clue on what I was doing, anyway did have fun and gave me some ideas for base defence etc.

Anyway finished the game around ten minutes ago and have been writing up the Uncharted 2 review which I just this second posted up, I'm not going out of my way to make a perfect critic review it's just my thoughts on the game. Since I've got around an hour before I need to do the tea think I will jump on Brotherhood finally!

-----------------------------------------

Got a few achievements tonight and now on sync three which is when you start to make allies in Rome to help build up the resistance. Took me a while to get back into to be honest since it's been so long but starting to get the hang of the combat system again, will give it a good bash tomorrow but for now I need to stop to start doing tea. In fact I think I'm going to end this post for today since probably watch a movie or a have a tv marathon later.

Have a good one folks and I will see you tomorrow no doubt,
~Iznic
