E3: Microsoft Conference

I have to say right now I was disappointed with Microsoft this year, it started off great with showing Halo 4 in action which looked great. Then doing the unveiling of Splinter Cell Black list, I was a happy gamer then after that it seemed to go down hill for the rest of the conference. I was really shocked that they only showed the small teaser trailer for Gears of Judgement and yet later that night there was announcements about the new multi player class system and story information. Then there huge announcement that Bling can now search by genre ... that was worthy to be shown off at E3?

Let's not forget the disaster of Dance Central 3 which we all knew was coming but having some music star say he will show it off then do a huge dance number without the game on, oh I'm sorry I though this was a game conference. If he was dancing to the game I would had accepted that even though its not my thing but it was clear he was just trying to promote himself, very disappointed in you Microsoft.

Don't get me wrong Microsoft could had been great, they showed off Tomb Raider and Black Ops 2. South Park looks amazing and Trey & Matt was a nice touch who clearly stole the show with their opening lines. The new Smartglass technology could be a great thing but I just don't see it being used properly, the Game of Thrones map I would probably use once then that's it. Halo 4 showing off the details of what you see now I would use that, that was sweet but as Peter Molyneux said on Spike TV how easy is it for developers to use? if its a nightmare to code for then it won't be used.

Overall they did ok but with too much time dedicated to the fail parts it left everyone upset and I would love to know what happened to the core updates that everyone was waiting for. Friends list extension? clan support, gamer score and achievements having more purpose with dedicated leaderboards and rewards. Actually I know where all this stuff is, they holding it off to put in the new Xbox along with the upgraded Kinect which makes sense I guess. So that's it for me on this conference, what was your thoughts on it? good or bad?
